Combining traditional Mallorcan interior design with plenty of modern conveniences, this townhouse, a stone’s throw from the heart of Pollença, makes you feel instantly at ease. We loved nothing more than kicking back with our morning coffee on the yellow and white striped sofa before rustling up a Mediterranean-inspired breakfast in the fully-equipped kitchen. 

Clear your agenda and spend an afternoon lounging on the patio – get stuck into a good book or fire up the barbecue and grill produce picked up from the nearby weekly market. Should a siesta be on the cards, the unfussy bedrooms guarantee a peaceful snooze. 

When you do fancy a change of scenery, drive over to Alcúdia for its warren of narrow streets and centuries-old buildings. Enjoy a glass of something refreshing in a curb-side cafe then make a beeline for the white sands and crystal-clear waters of Alcúdia Beach.

This rustic hideaway in the heart of Pollença puts the old-world streets immediately at your fingertips. While away your afternoons strolling down the honey-hued lanes and discovering the array of restaurants, boutique shops and historic landmarks around every turn. The main square is just a short walk away, but when you're in the mood for the sea and sand, Port de Pollença is only a few miles north.

Built with Mallorcan stone, this townhouse is cosy and contemporary all in one. Inside, modern design meets tradition – white-washed beams hang overhead, a sleek kitchen has everything you'll need to rustle up dinner and cream leather sofas invite you to kick back in style.

Outside, a pretty terraced garden calls for alfresco breakfasts before your adventures and evenings spent toasting your getaway with a glass of locally produced wine. The private pool is the perfect spot to cool off from the sun – as the palm trees sway and the blue skies stretch out above, dreamy days await.

In the winding, medieval streets of Pollensa's old town, this completely rebuilt townhouse hides a private plunge pool for cooling dips in the midday heat. Atmospheric restaurants and pavement cafes are on your doorstep. The whole house has been sympathetically renovated, keeping the honey-stone archways and wood beams. But the sleek kitchen belies the home’s history. It’s split across four floors, so those bagging the main bedroom – a suite on the top floor – have a fair few stairs to climb, but the view of shambling rooftops from the terrace up here is worth it.

In this peaceful hideaway, you wouldn’t believe you were a two-minute walk from the main square of Pollenca. Tucked away in a private street, this home is nothing short of a stylish sanctuary, with impossibly chic furnishings, a heated plunge pool, and a gorgeous rooftop terrace. 

Inside, there’s a wonderful mix of homely, traditional touches and opulence. Feel like royalty while also feeling completely at home when you’re sinking into the sofa beside the fireplace on cooler evenings or reclining in the standalone tub after a day of exploring Mallorca. Even the bedrooms have been thoughtfully decorated to echo the classic charm of Pollenca.

The interior is gorgeous, but we have no doubt you’ll be captivated by the outdoors. The stone brick courtyard promises complete privacy – your own tranquil space to soak up the sun and take a dip in the pool. When the sun starts to set, the place to be is your rooftop terrace, with a spectacular mountain backdrop and panoramic view of the terracotta-roofed houses. 

With the gorgeous view, sangria in hand, and barbecue sizzling away, you’ll have found total bliss. But being in the centre of Pollenca, you have plenty of local spots a stone’s throw away. Explore the cobblestone streets and small tapas restaurants, and let yourself fall in love with the magic of Mallorca.

You’ll find this typically Mallorcan villa a five-minute wander from the heart of Pollença’s old town, where charming cafes, bars and restaurants line the cobblestone streets and a farmers market sells fresh produce every Sunday. A short drive to the northeast places you at Port de Pollença, famous for its picturesque beaches and hiking opportunities – the Boquer Valley walk was one of our favourites. After soaking up the sunshine on Platja Can Cap de Bou, head home for a barbecue on the patio and some drinks by the pool. 

Listen to the cicadas chirp as you enjoy a game of table tennis in the garden then head inside to unwind in the cosy living space – we loved the rustic ceiling beams and exposed stone walls. Make a beeline for the balcony with a nightcap in hand to watch dusk fall over the treetops and when the sky becomes inky black, retreat to the charming bedrooms for a deep and restful slumber.

Enjoy an enchanting stay at this charming two-bedroom townhouse located on the outskirts of the irresistibly attractive town of Pollença. The elegant simplicity of its interior ensures a fuss-free stay, with the kitchen, living room and dining area forming the social hub of its open layout.

Step through the sliding doors and onto the balcony overlooking your inviting pool. After a nourishing breakfast at the outdoor dining table, descend the stairs for sunbathing sessions in the privacy of your private courtyard.

At the end of a day spent topping up your tan, we'd recommend a sunset stroll along its stepped streets, as the golden light bouncing off its ancient stone buildings reveals the beauty that has attracted so many artistic types over the years. Given its compact size, its restaurant-lined main square, fascinating art museum and Calvari Steps are all within a short walk of your front door. 

For a change of scenery, why not drive the short distance to the coast for a day on the popular pine-fringed beaches of Port de Pollença? Alternatively, you could seek out more secluded spots along the rugged Cap de Formentor coastline, where the Tramuntana mountains abruptly stop and plunge into the sea.

It’s not often you find a Pollença townhouse as stylish and immaculate as this, but then the owner is a celebrated designer. Spread across three levels, you’ll find a chic mix of statement lighting, striking tiles and one-off pieces. There’s a lovely balcony and patio area, and a Jotul wood burner for winter stays. 

But the focal point of the home has to be the roof terrace with its outdoor sofa and beautiful views across the town to the Puig de Maria. We can see ourselves sunbathing here or enjoying pre-dinner cocktails. The cobbled streets of Pollença town are outside your door and you’re a 15-minute drive from the pretty coastal resort of Puerto de Pollença. Spend your days sightseeing or soaking up some sun, sea and sand, before an evening of tapas and sangria on Pollença’s bustling square, and a spot of stargazing on the roof terrace. 

Orange Crush

Stone-clad and splendid, the main house here dates back to the 16th century. It’s an old farmhouse which once housed the olive press for the surrounding groves and you can feel this history in each terracotta-floored room inside. There’s something soothing about the timber beams of the low ceiling in the living room and the hearth-like fireplace is a nod to the old world. An open archway opens up to the dining room and there’s a second sitting room with cute, wooden-shuttered windows. Another stone archway reveals a full-sized snooker table for sociable evenings indoors and the dine-in kitchen is perfect for big, bustling family breakfasts dappled in sunshine.

But it’s the outdoors that really grabbed our attention. 175 acres of land is home to olive groves, a babbling river and orange groves. You can even enjoy a stroll through the evergreen oak woodlands without leaving the privacy of the grounds. The free-form swimming pool is like a huge lagoon on the terrace and we love the stone dining table beneath the twisting vines. Balconies and patios provide places to look out over the grounds, like a monarch surveying your kingdom, and Mallorca’s picturesque mountains flank you on all sides. 

Location-wise, you’re secluded in the countryside, but the honey-hued traditional town of Pollensa is just six kilometres away for restaurants, shops, bars and cafes.

Delivering knockout vistas of Pollensa Old Town from a private terrace and pool, you can see why this rustic home caught our eye. Granted, the interiors aren’t anything to write home about, and the kitchen is dated, but for a fuss-free family holiday close to all of Majorca’s best bits, this home works. You’re within walking distance of the delightful old town of Pollensa for evening meals in the square and only a ten-minute drive from the gently sloping shores of Puerto Pollensa. Now, how’s that for a location?

This home is a rare gift – a townhouse with a private pool in the heart of Pollensa Old Town. It’s a short stroll from the town’s buzzing bars, restaurants and shops, and the hiking and biking trails into the Tramuntana Mountains. The pool is more like a plunge pool than a spot to swim laps, but it’s the perfect tonic to the Mallorcan heat. The ground floor features a modern kitchen with a dining area opening straight to the pool terrace, as well as a separate lounge area perfect for relaxing. On the first floor, a shaded terrace looks out over the rooftops to the mountains.

Set in the heart of lovely Pollença, a short stroll from the main square, with restaurants and bars, you’ll find this traditional townhouse. Despite its central location, there’s a large garden with a Jacuzzi and an alfresco dining area with built-in barbecue and shaded areas to escape the Mallorcan sun if you wish. Inside, two bedrooms are situated in the main part of the house, while there’s an annexe on the top floor, accessed via a separate flight of steps, with a twin bedroom, kitchenette and a bathroom. From this space, there’s a terrace too, with views over the rooftops to the Puig de Maria.
