If this knockout sea view doesn't say rest and reset, we don't know what else will. Perched within an acre of private lands in the seafront community of Pefka and offering direct access to the rocky shoreline for seafront strolls, this hideaway is all about peace and seclusion. Inside, the contemporary villa boasting a guest suite may have less Cycladic charm than other homes in our collection. But we'll forgive that for those swoon-worthy panoramas from the sun-kissed terraces and lengthy infinity pool outside. The only downside to all this privacy is that you'll need to hop in the car to seek out the nearby local tavernas and shops. Or blaze a trail into Athens for the afternoon – it's just a forty-minute drive away.

Bright, serene and stylish, this modern villa has four floors of contemporary conveniences, from the compact gym and TV lounge downstairs to the light-filled living space on the second floor. There's even an in-house elevator, so you won't need to worry about dragging your baggage up and down all the steps. 

We love a lot about this villa – underfloor heating, mood lighting, rainfall showers – but our favourite has to be the lavish main suite. Set on the entirety of the top floor, not only does it have a jacuzzi tub in the en-suite bathroom, but a private balcony, where you can savour your morning coffee and admire the ebb and flow of the ocean. In the afternoons, sip wine in the sunshine and cool off with a dip in the pool. When you're feeling peckish, rustle up something delicious in the high-spec kitchen and dig in on the grassy courtyard, then make your way out to the many balconies and watch as the sun dips below the horizon.

When you fancy venturing out, it's just a five-minute drive to Althea Beach and thirty minutes to Athens, so you'll have a choice between sand and surf or city sightseeing – we think that's the best of both worlds.

Located in Kea, this villa offers a slower pace of life than some of Greece’s more famous islands. Although this home's location on the Athenian Riveria means that there's a colossal amount to see and do nearby, the villa itself feels perfectly secluded — the sort of place where you can glide through the swimming pool, soak up the sunshine on a lounger or cook up a storm on the barbecue with nary a distraction.

The interior is typically Mediterranean in style, with tiled flooring, white walls and large glass windows to maximise upon the plentiful amounts of natural light. That being said, there are a few design touches that add a little luxury, such as the sculpture collection and glass dining table.

If you're partial to a day at the seaside, you're in luck — Limani Passa and the 500-metre long Pountazeza take ten and fifteen minutes to reach on foot respectively. The Temple of Poseidon is an eleven-minute drive down the coastline, as well.

The village of Vourkari – just an eight-minute drive away – provides an opportunity for not only beach days but also scuba diving experiences. 

Coressia, the island’s port, is just a twelve-minute drive away, while the capital Ioulis is a twenty-five-minute drive away. In Ioulis you will be able to visit the archaeological museum and even see the Lion of Kea – an impressive early Greek stone monument that dates back to the Archaic period. 

What’s more, there is a regular ferry connection between Athens and Kea which takes about an hour, taking you to the Lavrion port. From here, you can drive about fifty-six minutes to Greece’s capital and explore everything Athens has to offer. 

After all your exploring, return home to the villa in the evening and cook some delicious souvlaki on the barbecue before dining alfresco as you enjoy the sun setting over the vista.

Andros’ location in the north of the Cyclades islands is perfectly suited for action-packed, island-hopping holidays, as well as beachside bliss. With mountains and valleys, it’s also wonderful for hiking, or can equally offer you a bustling afternoon in its capital – Andros Town.

Set in grounds that were once teeming with agricultural workers, this traditional ‘konaki’ home used to play host to tired farmhands. But that old-time hospitality certainly hasn’t gone away. Though the idea of being secluded on an island might not ordinarily conjure up a romantic image, this home on a Greek private island is quite the opposite. Located in the Cyclades, the estate stretches across 900 acres, enabling you and the rest of the group to rejuvenate in a picturesque and tranquil setting. 

Spend mornings meditating on the jetty before enjoying a cup of coffee with an alfresco breakfast. With plenty of outdoor seating options, there’s one perfect to every situation – stealing away for a romantic drink overlooking the water, reading with your feet in the sand of your private beach, or playing board games with a drink in hand. 

Inside you’ll glimpse elements of Cycladic architecture throughout the home, especially in the master bedroom, where the fireplace sits proudly. The Sunny Islander

It is situated on a large and spacious estate across the port from the village of Livadi, with stunning views of the Aegean Sea. Both the villa and the guest house are open and airy with lots of windows allowing plenty of natural light and providing wonderful views from every room. The main house has 2 bedrooms. The 3rd bedroom is located next to the main house but has an independent entrance, and the 4th bedroom is located in the guest house, which is located below the main villa. The decoration follows the minimal and elegant style of the Cyclades islands. The living room, dining area and kitchen are open space with windows all around. From the terrace one can watch the yachts and ferries entering and clearing the port. The villas enjoy amazing undisturbed views and complete privacy with their own private open-air spaces. They are cozy and well-equipped.

Our beautiful stonehouse is situated a mere 50m away from a serene and relatively secluded beach. It's also an easy 5-15 minutes drive to many beautiful beaches, including Agios Sostis, Lia and Psili Ammos. Step through an archway of silver-sheened olive trees and vine leaves to reach this peaceful home on the unspoiled island of Kea. Perched above the Panagia Kastriani Monastery, the five-bedroom villa enjoys exquisite views of the ancient structure and the hazy sea beyond.

You'll feel the revitalising embrace of this home as soon as you enter – the calming palette of off-white and sage green compliments rather than competes with the beautiful surroundings. Characterful furniture sets the space apart (we're looking at the artist's easel, in particular), while painted wooden beams nod to traditional Grecian homes.

The island's main town, Ioulida, is a short drive away. Here, you'll find a sprinkle of colourful buildings clustered on the side of a hill. Make sure you visit the Lion of Kea, an archaic sculpture that's shrouded in mystery. The smiling animal is thought to make reference to Kea's mythology, but its exact meaning and creator remain unknown.

If you’re on the lookout for a super-house for multiple families, in a spectacular island setting, this is it. Standing high on a hill on stunning Aegina Island, the home is perfectly placed. The 180-degree ocean views are epic from here. But the buzzy city centre is pleasingly close enough just 4km away. 

The villa is set over four levels, with plenty of space for a gang of eighteen. The vibe is relaxed, with lots of colour and homely touches. Families will especially love it here. Table tennis, giant chess, a playground and basketball facilities mean the kids are well catered for. Meanwhile, the grown-ups can recline with a book by the oh-so-chic infinity pool. Heaven. 

If you can drag yourself away, it’s worth exploring this beautiful island. Your nearest beach is Marathonas – its shallow water makes it a great spot for little ones to swim. Or don your best hiking shoes and explore the nature-rich mountains where there are ancient chapels to discover.
