Chic and stylish, this suite has an air of understated luxury. While it’s on the small side, the private garden has more than enough space for two and boasts a private pool. There’s no kitchen here, so we think this home is best suited to a couple or two friends who want to relax and take time off from everyday tasks. There’s a Greek taverna close by where you can sample some of the local cuisine, and you’ll have your own dining table to sit and enjoy a coffee each morning. The location is a real selling point – the beautiful Laguna Beach is just 550 metres away.

One in a series of three private homes, this whitewashed abode is just 1 kilometre from Kastraki beach. There isn’t a swimming pool here, but it does have a balcony and a terrace with a barbecue – perfect for alfresco dining. Your host can also help organise a range of extra services, including massage treatments, guided island tours and car rentals. Housekeeping is included in your stay, plus you’ll find a welcome basket provided for your arrival. And for a taste of the island’s vibrant spirit, head to Naxos town – just 16 kilometres away.

Perched on a hill overlooking Plaka Beach, this modern villa is a picture of serenity. Outdoor living is a guarantee here, so take your pick of spots to relax. There's the stunning infinity pool stretching across the cliff's edge, a breezy balcony with sensational views and the sunny patio, where you can tuck into alfresco dinners and sprawl out on the outdoor sofa. Inside, the laid-back, bright atmosphere continues – think white furniture, sheer drapes and a crisp blue colour scheme in the bedrooms. Wake up each morning to sea views, enjoying breakfast in the salty air. Afternoons are best spent splashing in the water and lounging in the sun, but come evening, pour yourself a glass of wine and take your front-row seat for incredible west-facing sunsets. Blissful, right?

And best of all is the location. It's just a five-minute drive to Plaka Beach, where you can splash in the crystal clear sea. Fifteen minutes away is the port town of Naxos, the hub of the island. Here, you'll find an old-world Venetian castle, paved alleys lined with cafes, churches and shops, and plenty of delicious eateries. If exploring the island is on your to-do list, this is the perfect spot to do so – ancient temples, beautiful beaches and traditional villages are all easily accessed by car.

Views of the Aegean Sea draw the eye from almost every angle at this beautiful boho home. The outside space is dreamy, with terraces for dining and drinking in the views, and a private outdoor pool. The space inside is lovely too, though the living room is on the small side – and at full occupancy two guests will be sleeping there on a sofa bed. Happily, you’re just a short walk from the beach so you’re unlikely to spend much time inside. Naxos town is only 10 kilometres away, too, ideal for evenings out.

Perched on a hillside in picturesque Agidia on the island of Naxos, this beautiful white home dazzles in the sunlight, welcoming you to embrace a treacly stay full of rest and relaxation. 
 
Inside, bright white walls and a laid-back beach decor set an instantly soothing scene, with ample natural light pouring through the windows. Step out onto the private patio where a shaded pergola provides the perfect spot for alfresco meals and a hot tub beckons starlit soaks in its waters over a glass of bubbly.
 
Back inside, the bedroom is ready to drift you into a peaceful night’s sleep, while the bathroom with its luxurious rainfall shower is sure to get any day off on the right foot. 
 
When it comes to exploring, take a stroll through the estate’s luscious vineyard and vegetable farm, or hop in your car to explore Naxos – an eight-minute drive – where the Temple of Apollo awaits. You’re also a seven-minute drive from sandy Agios Georgios Beach, while the 17th century Kalamitsia Monastery is fourteen minutes away by car. 


Aeolus

This villa on Naxos looks almost too good to be true – but we assure you, it's definitely as fabulous as it seems. With an excellent location on the island, a range of great amenities, and even some eco-credentials, we think this home will have you under its spell as soon as you arrive. 

The interior space is a haven of calm, cloaked in crisp colours and natural textures – it's the perfect place to hang out and find some respite from the heat. The eco-conscious ethos here means there are photovoltaic panels and solar water heaters, along with recycling practices on-site. If you want to catch some rays, you can head onto the terrace to stretch out on a lounger, but if you prefer the shade then the cool terrace is the place for you. And, there's even a hot tub where you can enjoy a long, revitalising soak under the stars come evening. 

The surrounding gardens are luscious and green, with trees and a pond – you can even visit the estate's vineyard and vegetable farm to pick up some local produce. From here, you can take a seven-minute drive down to Agios Georgios Beach for a day relaxing on the golden sand and swimming in the crystal clear water. And, if you want to savour some local seafood or sip a cocktail in one of the trendy bars, buzzing Naxos town is right there too.

With sea views, a private pool and a selection of sunny and shaded terraces to soak up the Greek weather, this villa is made for outdoor living. Inside, the home is simple and serene in typical Cycladic style, and while some may not favour the built-in furniture, it certainly adds to the character of this home. Nearby, you’ll find Kastraki beach just one kilometre away and a trip to Naxos town will reveal lots of local delicacies – our personal favourite is arseniko cheese, a must-try while on the island. 

Cycladic Gem

This elegant two-storey villa is situated in the village of Agia Anna, just 300 metres from one of the island’s idyllic beaches. With a lovely outdoor area, perfect for enjoying alfresco meals and catching the rays, the place is a good fit for families or groups of friends. There are even some herb beds in the garden, in case you feel like rustling up a family feast. Note that there are some stairs inside the home so children will need to be supervised. 

Aquatic Embrace

Just five minutes by car from Naxos Town, you’ll find this villa – explore the maze of streets filled with shops, bars and restaurants. This desirable location is also close to some of the best beaches in Naxos including Agios Prokopios and Agia Anna. If you prefer to relax by your private pool or in the Jacuzzi at this villa, we wouldn’t blame you. There’s also a fantastic roof terrace with Aegean Sea views, as well as wonderful vistas of Naxos Town and Portara.

Perched on a hilltop within walking distance of Agios Prokopios Beach and a short car ride from Naxos, this room offers a restful stay for a couple or solo traveller. There’s no kitchen here, so you’ll need to head out at mealtimes. Fortunately, there are plenty of tavernas within driving distance of your doorstep. Our favourite feature was the terrace – we couldn’t get enough of the private pool, especially after a nap on the loungers.

Barefoot luxury awaits at this newly built villa set just a hop, skip and jump from the paradisal shores of Mikri Vigla Beach. Inside, it’s a crisp, pared-back affair, with each bedroom as light-filled and spacious as the next. But we think you’ll spend most of your time alfresco, drinking in those knockout sea and mountain vistas from the lengthy private pool. Ready to embrace island life? Mikri Vigla village, with its seafront tavernas and bakeries, is a short stroll away along the seafront. After a little more bustle? The history-rich streets of Naxos Town are just a nine-kilometre drive away.

Cycladic Oasis

Boasting views of the sea and all the way to Chora, this villa is a lovely choice of base in Naxos. It’s modern and pretty, and is spread over three floors so you won’t feel crowded – though it might not be suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Outside, the poolside terrace has a delightful alfresco dining area. This home is away from the hustle and bustle of the town so is ideal for those looking to relax – this isn’t a party house. You can stroll easily to Paralia Glifada, but you’ll need a car to get around further.
