For an authentic island experience, it doesn't get much better than this.

Tucked away down an alleyway in one of the oldest buildings on the island, the unmistakable blue doors lead into a quaint tiled courtyard with a table and chairs set up for you to enjoy your morning coffee outdoors. Step through the quirky archway door and into this peaceful haven, furnished with pieces created by skilled local craftspeople. Hand-carved stone peeks out from the walls throughout the home, and an original Cycladic fireplace adds plenty of character to the bedroom.

If sweeping views out to sea are what you’re looking for, you’ll love this modern villa. Tucked away in a peaceful residential area on the east side of Paros, this crisp, clean space boasts views of the Aegean from the living room – what more could you want from your Grecian getaway? 

The property has been designed in a horseshoe shape, with the pool and terrace at its heart. The communal spaces and bedrooms lead straight outside, allowing you to embrace the flow of island living. We loved waking up in the morning and slipping straight out of bed and into the pool for a dip, before filling up on pastries and fresh fruit at the breakfast bar. 
For evening meals, you can head to Parikia – just 4km away – or do as we did and fire up the charcoal barbecue. The outdoor dining area is covered by a pergola, handily hidden away at the back of the property for added privacy. Load up fresh seafood and local wine, and settle in for a feast. 

For those able to drag themselves away from the pool, there’s plenty to see and do nearby. The beautiful beaches of Parasporos and Agia Irini are just a few minutes’ drive from the villa, and an excursion to Antiparos, a small island in the southern Aegean, makes for a memorable day out. Hop on a ferry from the petite port of Punta and while away the hours meandering along cobbled streets. Admire the white houses and the magnificent flowers that bloom in the gardens before heading back to the villa to take in the sunset with a cocktail.

It's the location, however, that's even better. It's just a three-minute walk to Parasporos Beach, where you can nibble on snacks at the waterfront tavernas or swim in the crystal clear ocean. For a bit more buzz, the capital, Parikia (also known as Paros) is only five minutes by car – head there for chic cocktail bars, pretty cobbled lanes lined with boutique shops and trendy eateries right by the sea.

In the hills above the charming fishing village of Aliki, this brand new villa has beautiful sea and sunset views. In Aliki, you’ll find a handful of restaurants and upmarket tavernas lining the seafront, traditional bakeries and two sweeps of sandy beach. And it’s just a fifteen-minute drive to Paros town to catch the ferry or simply explore a charming harbour town.

The first thing you’ll notice on arrival at this villa is the beautiful view of the Aegean Sea from the terrace. Perhaps this is best enjoyed while soaking in the hot tub and plunge pool, or while reclining on the built-in sofas and sunbeds. Dining outdoors comes courtesy of a shaded pergola.

The view continues inside, where big windows in the bright living room take in the sea panorama. It’s open-plan living, designed for socialising on plush sofas and around the big dining table. Bedrooms are soothing havens in dove-grey, dusky pink and pristine white, and each one opens up to the terrace, so you can pad barefoot straight from bed to lounger.

Perched on a hillside overlooking the Aegean Sea and the Bay of Paroika, this villa offers an array of private outdoor spaces and a shared sun-lounger-lined pool to complement the panorama. It's split over three levels, with bedrooms on the upper level and ground floor, making it ideal for families with older kids who want some space to themselves. The villa is just 6km from the island's main town and a short drive from the palm-fringed Agia Irini Beach. Head further inland, and you'll find the Monastery of Saint Arsenios, a whitewashed church with spectacular views of the whole island, as well as the Butterflies Nature Reserve (open June-September), within walking distance.

When presented with this prime spot in the south of Paros with a glorious view of the sparkling Aegean Sea in the distance, the two civil engineers that designed this villa decided to opt for simplicity. Judging by the finished project, we'd say that was a wise choice.

The building embraces Cycladic architectural trends for clean lines, boxy shapes and pure white walls. The outside space is dominated by the swimming pool, which is surrounded by loungers and a covered terrace area that's home to a traditional stone barbecue. It's perfectly possible to spend your whole day out here, admiring the Mediterranean panorama.

Heading inside, the generously sized rooms are home to contemporary furnishings and a sleek minimalist kitchen, although there are enough quirky touches to keep it from looking too anonymous – the driftwood lampshade above the dining table is particularly eye-catching. On the lower ground floor, there's also a large multi-functional room that holds workout equipment and games.

As you can guess from the coastal view, the nearest beach isn't too far away – Paralia Makra Miti takes only seven minutes to reach on foot. The town of Alyki is a five-minute drive away and the island's main town of Paroikia takes a quarter of an hour.

Passion Project

Cool off in the infinity pool as you take in the views over the sparkling blue Aegean Sea at this gorgeous villa. Then enjoy a long, lazy barbecue lunch – anyone for more souvlaki? Later, do some stargazing with the telescope in the stylish living room or simply relax on the chaise sofa with a glass of ouzo – bliss.

If you tire of the pool, unlikely we know, then head to Aliki Beach, a ten-minute walk or one-minute drive away – do some scuba diving or unwind at the bars here. Or, explore Parikia (ten minutes in the car), where you’ll find plenty of shops and fine restaurants down its narrow cobbled streets and around its harbour. History lovers, on the other hand, can check out the Panagia Myrtidiotissa Monastery, around an eight-minute ride.

Then, while away balmy afternoons in the infinity pool (complete with jacuzzi and resistance swimming jets), or just sprawl out on one of the lounge chairs with a cocktail in hand. Come dinnertime, prepare a mouth-watering alfresco feast using the built-in barbecue and outdoor wood-fired oven, digging into your fare around the expansive table. And you won't want to miss the sunsets, either. Pull up a seat, pour yourself a glass of wine and get ready to be dazzled by the purple-painted horizon. 

The island of Paros is begging to be explored if you can drag yourself away from this private paradise. Parikia, the capital, is only a seven-minute drive – head there for eateries, cultural landmarks and cobbled alleys lined with pretty white houses and flowered balconies. Sandy, picturesque beaches are a dime a dozen here and are all easily reached by car – including Krios, Marcelo and Livadia, just five minutes away.

This minimalistic villa is all about the location. While the interiors may be a little too simple for everyone’s taste, the ground-floor bedroom is perfect for children or those with limited mobility. Outdoors, you’re treated to alfresco dining opportunities, a private pool and sea views – all the ingredients needed for a relaxed stay. That said, adventure seekers take note – Santa Maria beach, one of the finest stretches of sea and sand on the island, is known for its watersports and is just over a kilometre away. Further afield, a fifteen-minute drive will take you to Naoussa and its golden beaches lined up around the natural bay. 

Grey Hues & Sea Views

One of the more modest villas in our collection, this home's excellent location meant that we felt compelled to include it. As you look out at the sparkling Aegean Sea while tending to the barbecue on the terrace or make the sixty-second stroll down to Farangas Beach, you might be inclined to think we made the right choice.

That's not to say the home itself is a compromise in any way. The architecture is traditionally Cycladic in influence, with arched doorways, exposed stonework and wooden ceiling beams. Some of the furnishings are in keeping with this aesthetic, like the weathered coffee table and mirror frame, but there are others, such as the mid-century-inspired chairs in the living room, that add a little more contemporary flair.

As well as the beach almost literally on your doorstep, there are restaurants and a few more seaside spots in the next village over of Aliki, around five minutes' drive away. The island's main town of Parikia takes just under twenty minutes to reach in the car, too.

Morning Swim

Paros’ ancient history, vibrant towns, and natural charm make it the most fabulous destination for historians, hedonists, and hikers alike. Known for its white marble, some of the most famous classical sculptures can thank this island’s fine resources. But Parian marble statues aren’t the only example of fine, white structures – this traditional Greek home is just a four-minute drive from the village of Alyki. 

Set upon the hillside among native shrubbery, the white walls of the home stand out against natural hues. And, if you take a fifteen-minute drive over to Parikia, the island's capital, you can admire the quaint cobbled streets and iconic Cycladic architecture.

The complex offers two villas, with a shared pool. There are offered either separately or together, for large parties of families or friends.

The facilities offered to you in one villa consist of 3 large double bed, bedrooms. There are 3 bathrooms to match. Downstairs, a large open plan lounge dining area is available to you with a fully equipped kitchen. You will also have access to an outdoor dining area, situated on the large terrace, which is accompanied with a barbeque. Outside, you will, of course, be able to chill out by the gorgeous outdoor swimming pool, which is perfect for cooling off from the hot sun. There is also a separate guest room for each villa. The house is fully equipped for preparing breakfast or lunch, there is a dishwasher and washing machine, iron, hairdryer, satellite TV. Inside, exposed stone walls and whitewashed beams create a typically Greek interior. Whip up some kakavi, a local fish soup, in the modern kitchen or make a kefalotyri toastie with the sandwich maker. There’s a barbecue if you prefer to grill some souvlaki for lunch (alternatively, you could let the private chef cook for you).

When you want to explore, head to Parikia, a nine-minute drive away, where you’ll find plenty of shops and fine restaurants down its narrow cobbled streets and around its harbour. There's an array of beaches if you prefer to spend the day by the sea. Livadia Beach is under ten minutes in the car, while Krios Beach is fourteen minutes.
