Step out onto the balcony, and that’s exactly where you’ll find the dynamite – the view, some sea, some mountain, and some island, is a breathtaking panorama that also reminds you just how close you are to the beach. 

Only a few minutes away on foot, you can choose to spend the day on the tree-lined, Agali beach or visit it daily to take a sunset stroll before popping in at the nearest restaurant for dinner. Of course, if it’s exploring you want, you can also visit the Archeological Museum of Tinos or the Museum of Marble Crafts. 

Back home, you can pass days on the balcony simply admiring the space and breathing in sea-salt air. The communal pool terrace serves as a potential social spot for solo adventurers, though it's a sunny place for everyone to unwind. Agios Fokas Beach and its cafe-dotted promenade sit within walking distance. But a short drive away is the island's namesake town of Tinos, which holds a working port, hiking trails, and an archeology museum.

For a modern escape to Greece, this villa is an excellent choice. It can be found just outside of Tinos town – a ten-minute walk is all it takes to reach the many bars, restaurants and shops of this lively hub. The well-loved beach at Agios Fokas is 500 metres away, so if you want to while away your stay on white sands, you can do so very easily indeed. 

You needn’t leave the villa for a dip though, as you’ll have your own private pool. Dive in first thing in the morning, and spend your days alternating between soaking up the gorgeous Greek sun and cooling off in the refreshing water. The villa looks out over the sea, with views stretching as far as Mykonos – this really is a lovely spot. When you need some shade, you can retire to the small patio or head inside. 

The villa is stylish and chic, with everything you might need for a beach break. The petite kitchen is ideal for whipping up a snack or mixing cocktails – if you’re anything like us, pre-dinner cocktails as you watch the sun set are a must for a holiday. This small but perfectly formed home is an excellent choice for your next Greek adventure.

There's an undeniable charm to this rustic villa. A treasure trove of authentic antiques, many of the curiosities dotted about hail from the host's travels all over Greece. The atmosphere is homey and warm – we're particularly fond of the exposed stone walls, crackling fireplace and bright blue door and window frames. But most of all, we're swooning over the outside space. Oodles of terraces and balconies show off the exquisite sea view – just stretch out on a lounge chair, pour yourself a glass of wine, and bask in the tranquil Aegean scenery.

If you can pull yourself away from the panoramas, Tinos Town (known as Chora to the locals) is just a thirteen-minute drive away. As it’s the capital of the island, you'll find a myriad of restaurants, bars, shops and galleries to tickle your fancy. For a beach day, Paralia Lichnaftia is a ten-minute drive, although there are plenty more sandy shores to visit along the coast. You can even enjoy a day trip to Mykonos – it's about half an hour away on the ferry.

This delightful villa is the perfect place to while away days in the Grecian sunshine. Built with local stone and featuring a stunning view of the Aegean Sea, there's no shortage of reasons to love this place. When you're in the mood for adventure, hop in the car and explore the wild beauty of Tinos. Known as Greece's spiritual heart, there's a myriad of things to discover, from ancient churches and hiking routes to beautiful beaches. The closest is just eight minutes by car, while the port town of Tinos and its array of restaurants, bars and boutiques is a fifteen-minute drive away. Your host can even arrange island excursions and yacht rentals.

This stripped-back home is a comfortable spot for a couple or solo traveller on Tinos’ south coast. The bedroom provides access to a small balcony, where you’ll enjoy glimpses of the Aegean Sea. While there is a kitchenette here, it’s only suitable for quick snacks as there is no oven or hob. Should you fancy something more substantial, Tinos town, home to traditional taverns, is a short drive away. What’s more, Agios Sostis Beach is only a ten-minute walk from the doorstep.

This alluring villa is the perfect marriage of Cycladic charm and modern living. Sunlight spills into the sleek living area, which is minimal, chic and styled with woven baskets and marble floors. The dazzling infinity pool calls for afternoon swims and evening dips under the starry night sky – you'll feel like you've been swept away in the waves – while the balcony off the main bedroom is the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee as the sun comes up. 

When you fancy venturing out (not that we'd blame you if you'd rather stay home), the village of Pyrgos is less than a ten-minute drive. Vathi Beach's rocky shores are perfect for swimming – it's about fifteen minutes on foot – and the vibrant town of Tinos is drivable in thirty-five if you want to pick up the pace. Airport transfer, daily cleaning and breakfast are all included with your stay – sounds like a perfect holiday to us.

Tucked away in a tangle of olive groves and citrus trees, you'll find this home on the east coast of Tinos. Here, tranquillity is guaranteed. Set against a hillside backdrop, dense foliage and lush lawn cocoon the rustic facade, and at the garden's edge, a secluded beach awaits. Spend your days relaxing here and paddling in the crystal clear waters.

With its main building and two annexes, the design of this home is well suited to families. Inside, it's all exposed brick walls and beamed ceilings cloaked in a lick of ivory paint. Red accents run throughout the interiors, from the quaint shuttered windows to the striking kitchen cabinets – even the glossy Smeg refrigerator boasts a handsome shade of crimson. It probably won't surprise you that the owner is an antique connoisseur. Vintage touches are abundant here, infusing the space with warmth. 

We love the ample outdoor spaces, from the sun-drenched patio to the vast gardens, offering pockets of shade and dreamy sea views. Spend mornings gathered at the dining pergola, allowing wafts of coffee and the gentle sea breeze to awaken you from your slumber. If you fancy exploring the island, take a ten-minute drive to the medieval village of Triantaros, or explore Tinos, the lively capital, which is only ten kilometres away.

There are a couple of en-suite bedrooms with direct access to the pool area on this level, sleeping up to four guests. Upstairs, those lucky enough to nab the master suite will benefit from picturesque views and a private balcony, while a further twin bedroom on the lower floor brings the total guest count up to eight. 

Pack your seaside essentials and head down to the nearest beach, just an eight-minute drive away. Stretch out on the soft sands and play with the kids in the shallows. Spend an evening dining out in Tinos town, which has plenty of fantastic tavernas and lively bars, just fifteen minutes by taxi from your secluded villa. 

True Blue

Sleek and sophisticated, this Tinos villa is perched on a hilltop, overlooking the Aegean Sea. Up here, it feels as though you’re suspended between sea and rock. It’s a ten-minute walk to the beach at Vathi where a tiny fishing hamlet is perched by the crystalline water. Heading inland, it’s a seven-minute drive (or forty-minute walk) to the village of Pyrgos, whose blue and white buildings have earned it a reputation of being one of the prettiest in the Cyclades.

The villa’s terrace has been designed to make the most of that stunning sea view. Loungers line an infinity-edge pool, overlooking the Aegean below. Plush outdoor sofas create outdoor lounges and you can dine as a group on the raised, covered terrace with a view of hazy islands floating on the horizon. Snatch a moment of pure peace up on the first-floor balcony.

The open-plan living area embraces Cycladic architecture with pristine white walls and stone archways keeping things bright and breezy. You’ll find notes of sea and sky in the blue artworks on the walls, and a decidedly bohemian feel to fawn, sand and driftwood-coloured throws and cushions on plush sofas. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open up to the terrace and let that beautiful sea view inside. Bedrooms are bathed in natural light and open up onto private balconies or straight onto the pool terrace.

Between the beach and the beautiful village of Pyrgos on Tinos, this villa has some of the best views on the island. Here, you’re perched above the Aegean Sea, a ten-minute walk from the soft sand of Vathi Beach. Make the three kilometre drive to Pyrgos, a hilltop village in striking blue and white said to be one of the prettiest in the Cyclades. 

Arriving at the villa, the first thing that took our breath away was the view from the infinity-edge swimming pool. The pool juts out over the hillside, with the sparkling ocean stretching before you and the hazy silhouette of Mykonos sitting on the horizon.
