Set just a flip-flop from Netanya’s sweeping sandy shores and the city’s hub, the location of this apartment is spot-on. The pared-back, fuss-free interiors may not suit guests looking for a characterful, lived-in home. But you can’t help but swoon at the vast private terrace commanding sea views. It’s worth noting some of the bedrooms are on the snug side compared to the main bedroom with its en-suite, walk-in wardrobe and direct access to the terrace. We’ll leave you to decide who lucks out on that.

This lovely apartment offers guests a beautiful view of the surrounding greenery, with the glistening sea in the distance. Sleek and modern, this home features pops of colour throughout, brightening up the space alongside the floor-to-ceiling windows. We love the baby blue chairs at the breakfast bar – a wonderful spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee with a light breakfast. 

You'll find the wooden dining table next to the blue feature wall, where you can tuck into delicious homecooked meals made in the kitchen. You'll also be treated to a ton of natural daylight in the bedrooms due to the large windows, meaning you can wake up to the sunshine of Tel Aviv every day. 

Head out to the beach to spend the day under the sun by the sea, relaxing in the sands as you take those all-important holiday snaps for your loved ones back at home. Within the local area, you'll find two bakeries that serve up tasty treats as well as a winery where you can sip on sumptuous wine. The Nahariya Botanical and Zoological Garden is also close by where you can be one with nature and charming wildlife.

When it comes to apartment buildings, the penthouse is often seen as the most coveted floor, but those at ground level often have the better deal if there's outdoor space in the equation. Anybody coming to northern Israel to stay in this apartment will surely agree with this by the end of their stay.

Slide open the glass doors and you're greeted with a private garden that stretches around both sides of the building, which features everything from alfresco seating and play equipment to an inflatable swimming pool in which to cool off during particularly warm afternoons. Add to that a view of palm trees and the Mediterranean Sea, and it's not hard to imagine hours being passed in this pleasant space.

We love this home's contemporary interior, sleek and modern while being colourful and warm. It's a sociable apartment, with a large open kitchen and living space. The kitchen is really one that demands to be cooked in, with the dining table setting the stage for cheerful dinners at home. 

Conveniently close to the Achziv National Park and to the heart of Nahariya, you can easily make the most of some of Israel's most beautiful beaches. One such place is Achziv Beach, a cove of golden sand and azure waters, where the little ones can spend hours making sandcastles while the grown-ups can sip on beer and lounge on the beach. During the summer, you might even spot sea turtles who lay their eggs here.

Restaurants surrounding the beach are absolutely wonderful for catching the sunset, but the best seat in town is right at home. Your balcony gets an undisturbed viewing of the golden sun dipping into the Mediterranean sea. Snack on hummus, pitta, and olives, and sip on wine, as you watch in awe.

You've got the best of both worlds here when it comes to dining, with a table on the balcony that overlooks a delightful view of the nearby beach and an indoor dining area in the stylish living space under the lightbulb feature. Relax with your loved ones on the sofa as you pop a movie on to watch together, accompanied by the scenic surroundings through the window. Evenings are beautiful in this location – we recommend tucking into a delicious homecooked meal on the balcony as you watch the amber glow of the sunset, followed by putting your feet up on the outdoor sofa with a bottle of red. One of the bedrooms includes a TV, as well as a view, making it incredibly tempting to have a cosy duvet day. 

Achziv Beach is within walking distance where you can spend your days by the sparkling waters, or head to the Botanical and Zoological Garden of Nahariya. Take a drive to Achziv National Park where you'll find beautiful lagoons and village ruins. Throughout the surrounding area there are plenty of dining options for a tasty meal out with your loved ones such as Banahala – if you're fancying a treat there's a fantastic selection of bakeries.

Botanical Lagoon

Located in Achziv, Tel Aviv, this fantastic apartment offers proximity to the beach plus stunning sea views from your private balcony. We would love to begin our mornings here with breakfast overlooking the ocean from the terrace before we head out and wander down to Banana Beach – just minutes away. Here, you will find a sandy beach with bars and restaurants and even surfboard rentals for those travellers looking for adventures on the waves. Next to the beach is also the national park of Achziv, with ancient ruins from the Phoenician era to explore, plus wide lawns that are perfect for afternoon picnics. 

In the evening, head home and catch up on any important work and emails at the home’s dedicated office space. Then, cook a delicious meal of falafel and humus – a meal that can be enjoyed alfresco to catch the beautiful view of the sun setting over the ocean. 

Do You Sea What I Sea?

While many people visiting Israel flock to the two main cities, the country's rural regions are well worth exploring, too. This apartment found on the northern outskirts of Nahariya is a superb example of a home off the beaten track.

The design inside is bright and contemporary, with the cleansingly white walls and glossy tiling underfoot making the most of the ample amount of natural light that comes in through the windows and glass doors. There's a minimalist simplicity to the furnishings and finishes, which is pleasing to the eye, but perhaps the best view is from the private balcony – here, you can gaze out to Achziv beach and the Mediterranean Sea while seated at the alfresco dining table.

When this majestic sight proves too much to resist, you can walk down to those very golden sands in little over a quarter of an hour. Achziv National Park is just over five minutes' drive away too when you fancy seafront strolls via turtle nesting sites and the remains of a biblical town.
