Whether you're washing up in the stone-cadded bathroom, enjoying a book in the cosy reading nook besides a crackling fire, or settling down for a movie night in the upper-floor TV room on a custom-made modular sofa, it's hard not to be impressed. This stunning home makes for a dreamy retreat. It’s in a gated community in stunning Tulum, tucked away amid the tropical trees and greenery – it’s an oasis. This is the kind of holiday home you find yourself daydreaming about long after the suitcases have been unpacked and the tans have faded. 

The villa boasts an open-plan concept that blends indoor and outdoor living. Open up the floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors to merge the living and dining space with the terrace, private swimming pool, and pretty green canopy of leaves. It only takes five minutes to drive to the town of Tulum and nine minutes to reach Tulum Beach. Swim in the crystal clear sea in the morning before meandering around the town in the afternoon. History-buffs will enjoy exploring the Mayan ruins, which are a short drive away. There’s something for everyone here.

When we say ‘wow’ we want to mean it. And, walking into this palatial Punta Mita villa, we mean it. Designed by Juan Collignon, Manolo Mestre and Karen Collignon, this oceanfront home is separated into nine lavish yet boho suites. The first thing you’ll notice is the huge cabana-style dining area outside, like a beach club restaurant beneath a palm-frond thatch. That blend of beachy boho and high-shine luxury is kept throughout the home. Undulating curves of stone bathtubs, perpendicular beams of varnished wood and the occasional flame of a traditional Mexican fabric all feed into the effortlessly chic vibe.
