Geared towards families or friends looking to socialise in the sun, you’ll find plenty of ways to pass treacly afternoons with a private pool, a ping pong table and an outdoor dining area all set for alfresco barbecue feasts. To top it all off, there’s an indoor hot tub and two balconies accessed from the pair of bedrooms – sea and countryside views included. When thoughts turn to sightseeing, hop in your car to explore Kalkan’s old town and harbour, make a beeline for the pebble beach or hike a portion of the Lycian Way, Turkey’s longest walking trail.

To put it simply, this home is stunning. It’s perched on top of a hill just a short walk from downtown Kalkan, and boasts mesmerising views of the Mediterranean Sea and nearby islands. The glittering blue seascape can be enjoyed from almost every angle of this magnificent villa. 

As you approach the villa and take in the view, you’ll smell the flowers in the garden. The land is also home to countless palm, banana, grape and olive trees, all vying for attention in the pretty setting. The heated infinity pool stretches out towards the sea, and is where we’d be spending most of our time. After an early-morning dip, you might lie out in the sun for an hour or two, before moving into the shade of the outdoor lounge. Sip cocktails while drinking in the view, and plan the rest of your day. 

Will you have lunch outside, or move into the cool confines of the stylish villa? The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking a breeze, and the barbecue is perfect for alfresco feasting. 

This home is bright and welcoming, with enough room for a large group, including two kitchens and living areas, each with their own entrance and terrace. The table tennis and darts board always prove popular, whether you’re travelling with friends or as a family. There are quiet corners too, so you can always slip away for a moment of romance. The pool has been incorporated in between the buildings in a way that feels organic and inviting, and the exposed beams on the ceiling work well with the wooden textures. It's stylish, it's modern, and it feels like a home away from home. We loved it.
