To put it simply, this home is stunning. It’s perched on top of a hill just a short walk from downtown Kalkan, and boasts mesmerising views of the Mediterranean Sea and nearby islands. The glittering blue seascape can be enjoyed from almost every angle of this magnificent villa. 

As you approach the villa and take in the view, you’ll smell the flowers in the garden. The land is also home to countless palm, banana, grape and olive trees, all vying for attention in the pretty setting. The heated infinity pool stretches out towards the sea, and is where we’d be spending most of our time. After an early-morning dip, you might lie out in the sun for an hour or two, before moving into the shade of the outdoor lounge. Sip cocktails while drinking in the view, and plan the rest of your day. 

Will you have lunch outside, or move into the cool confines of the stylish villa? The fully equipped kitchen makes cooking a breeze, and the barbecue is perfect for alfresco feasting.

Sitting pretty on the hillside in charming Faralya village, this family-friendly villa is contemporary and very Mediterranean. The landscaped gardens, multiple outdoor lounging and dining spaces – as well as an impressive outdoor kitchen – mean that you'll likely find us outside, and most probably sipping a drink and admiring the uninterrupted sea view from the infinity pool. We love the sense of privacy that you feel at Begonvil, laying across four acres of land and completely unseen from the outside. The villa is also only 300 metres from the beach, where you can unwind on the sand with your favourite book or go snorkelling, although be warned that's it's easier to walk down than back up the hill.

When you're ready to venture to the larger cities of Fethiye and Ölüdeniz, you'll be equally surprised at how close they all are. But the villa alone will keep you busy — Lebessa is a beautiful home, built with stone and a true eye for architectural beauty. The pool has been incorporated in between the buildings in a way that feels organic and inviting, and the exposed beams on the ceiling work well with the wooden textures. It's stylish, it's modern, and it feels like a home away from home. We loved it.

Here, you’ll find a traditional brick village house that’s been lovingly restored while retaining its original charm, surrounded by vast fields and the majestic Taurus mountains. So, if you love homes with character, you’ll fall head over heels for this one. 

Located in the quiet, tiny village of Kınalı, you’re a far cry from daily life. It’s a time machine back to the days of Turkey gone by, with old artefacts, Ottoman touches, a gorgeous rustic dining table, and a traditional Turkish barbecue. But that isn’t to say this home isn’t comfortable for the modern person, we don’t think you’d find a well-equipped kitchen or a plunge pool for cooling off from the heat way back when. In Turkey, life is lived in the outdoors. Spend your days sunning by the pool in the secluded garden of native foliage, playing backgammon around the bistro table, and tucking into barbecue dinners washed down with an Efes. On cooler days, you might want to explore the nearby hiking trails in the mountains or explore the fascinating abandoned village of Kayaköy, a ghost town of old stone cottages. 

This is a beautiful, transportive place for a small family or couple to switch off. But if you want to discover more of Turkey, you’re a short drive from the popular tourist town of Hisarönü and if you venture just a bit further you’ll reach Fethiye. Explore the area’s gorgeous, pristine beaches, swim in the crystalline waters, and spend evenings in waterfront restaurants and lively bars. Or, spend cosy evenings under the wooden pergola, cooking up fresh barbecue dinners, and chatting away. The colourful garden is beautiful enough, but take the steps up to your flat top roof for wildly stunning sunset views, overlooking the Babadağ mountain.

We can picture long, lazy lunches and barbecues as the sun softens over the hills. You always have a quiet nook for coffee and a read, but plenty of sociable living too. Selecting which lounger to go for will be about as taxing as it gets.

It’s not often one gets to look out at the Mediterranean and in this case, from a beautiful, expansive terrace with seating aplenty. Enjoy the views from the infinity pool, private bedroom balconies, or through the window walls of the living area. Treat yourself to a glass of wine, put your feet up, and take in your impressive surroundings. Calling on anyone who likes to spend their holidays relaxing with a great book, delicious local food and excellent company, Moonlight Dance has got you covered.

This stylish modern home offers the holy trinity of sky, sea and mountains. The location is excellent, as you're  up on a hillside near Kalkan town and just 2 km from the coast. The home's interiors with marble floors and bespoke furniture will keep you feeling cool during your stay, and are a real haven to come back to after a day out under the Turkish sun. That said, the roof terrace and infinity pool mean you won't have to travel far to soak up the sunshine. Kalkan is a vibrant and busy seaside town, with a host of shops, bars, restaurants and sites of historical interest nearby. You're also close to Patara, the longest beach in the country – a must see.

Whether you're snuggling up in front of the fire roaring in the hearth, sipping a glass of wine on the terrace around the tree-stump table or floating in the freshwater pool as the day draws to a close, every second here will feel like you're living in a fairy tale. 

Marrying timber and stone, the cosy living room a step back in time.
