The private pool and home cinema room are likely to get the lion's share of your attention while you're at home, and the balcony overlooking the garden is perfect for alfresco dining. The uncluttered decor inside the large open-plan living area is a nice touch too, ensuring a relaxing stay. When it's time to explore, you'll find Hollywood, Universal Studios, and Santa Monica all a short drive away.

Big City Paradise

Located in an area of Bel Air known locally as 'Billionaire's Row', this home strikes us as the perfect blend of luxury and location. Not only have you got miles of parks just a short drive away, including Topanga State Park, but you're also close to Hollywood and Santa Monica. That said, we think you won't want to spend too long away from home – the home cinema, large terrace overlooking gorgeous views, and infinity pool will see to that. 

Billionaire's Haven

Looking for a base in Beverly Hills for a month or more? This cool, contemporary home is a luxurious place to live like a local. We love the gallery-like living area – a minimalist space that’s been styled with modern art and high-end furnishings. The swimming pool is a real draw here too, perfect for cooling off in the Californian sunshine or lazy poolside afternoons. And while the whole home feels like a serene, secret sanctuary, you’ll be within easy reach of smart boutiques, Michelin-starred restaurants, and cultural gems like The Getty. Life in Los Angeles never looked so good.

Valley & Bright

Head out to the gorgeous terrace – it's the perfect spot for a drink as the sun goes down over the City of Angels. Come dinner time, fire up the state-of-the-art barbecue for your own Californian feast before heading inside for a movie screening on the projector (complete with surround sound). We love the incredible views over Sunset Boulevard from the living area, too – there's even a telescope on hand to help you take a closer look. With rustic elements – think wood-panelled walls and plenty of hardwood flooring – this idyllic hillside retreat is almost a treehouse in its design, at an elevated, editorial level. The Scandi-chic inspired furniture, and floor-to-ceiling windows lend this home a distinctly contemporary vibe. Despite the peace and quiet here – you're close to the heart of the action at less than one minute’s drive from Hollywood Boulevard, while Downtown LA is a fifteen-minute ride. Runyon Canyon, on the other hand, is just four minutes in the car if you fancy visiting one of the most popular hiking destinations in Los Angeles. It's no wonder this place has glowing reviews – it's an LA star.

The Hollywood Treehouse

This Beverly Hills home is a stunning example of Spanish revival architecture, with arched doorways, stucco exteriors and vaulted beamed ceilings. The real highlight here is the patio garden. Surrounded by towering trees, palms and mature agaves, it feels like a private oasis, complete with a saltwater sauna and pool. Inside, the interiors might be a tiny bit garish, depending on your taste. However, it's perfectly comfortable and benefits from modern enhancements, such as a whole-home water filtration system that provides alkaline drinking water. This is LA, after all, and with Soho House a six-minute walk away and the Sunset Strip a four-minute drive, you'll soon feel like a local.

Sunset Revival

Between the bustling streets of West Hollywood and palms swaying gently in the breeze, this apartment offers a spot of serenity just a five-minute drive from Beverly Hills. Your white, modern, open-plan living space feels so relaxing, yet accents of glamour won't let you forget how close you are to Tinseltown – we love the eye-catching, starburst feature mirror and purple velvet cushions. And from the window of your dining area, as well as your private balcony, the views of the Hills and Downtown are another vivid reminder of your surroundings. Take a chilled Californian wine out to the balcony one evening for a sunset over Sunset. Unless of course you’d rather make the most of communal facilities such as an outdoor pool, hot tub, sauna, gym, and roof terrace? While this is a perfect base to explore cafés, boutiques, and dining spots of WoHo on foot, there's more to see if you cruise around by car. Ten minutes away, marvel at exhibits of the LA County Museum of Art and other galleries on Museum Row. Or just over twenty minutes north, spend the day taking in the natural beauty of Griffith Park – home to the Hollywood sign – before heading back down into the metropolis for dinner and drinks.

Starburst Mirror

Step through the olive-green door of this 1920s Spanish-stye West Hollywood home and you’ll find yourself in a soothing living space. From the individual climate control to the eco-friendly cleaning products, there’s nothing your host hasn’t thought about here, so you can kick back and relax without having to worry about the minutiae of your stay.

That’s not to say it’s just the practicalities that your host has taken care of, though. Stop at one of the local cafés for a spot of brunch, keep little ones entertained with a trip to Santa Monica Pier, or simply sit back and take in the sights and sounds of the city.

This LA craftsman is living history, dating back to before the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. Frank Sinatra, Humphrey Bogart and John F. Found among one of LA's most famous neighbourhoods – Miracle Mile – this ground-floor apartment is a great place to stay while in the city. There are boho influences in the interior, from the woven furnishings and houseplants to the big tan leather sofa. At the same time, the kitchen is more industrial in design – and is pretty large considering it's only for two people. 

Through the glass doors, guests are treated to a private terrace with two barbecues and some alfresco seating ready for those warm summer evenings. As if that wasn't enough, there are also lots of communal amenities in the building, including a resident's lounge, outdoor terraces complete with fire pits and loungers, a complimentary coffee bar and even a dog spa. 

There's a wide choice of galleries and public art exhibitions in the local neighbourhood, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, only seven minutes' walk away. Slightly further afield, you're just 4 miles from the vibrant Sunset Strip, and 10 miles from Santa Monica's iconic pier.
