There’s a comfy seating area where you can relax after a busy day of sightseeing, a 6-seater dining table where you can enjoy your home-cooked meals, and large shuttered windows which bathe the room in natural light. The kitchen is fully stocked, right down to the olive oil and spices, and has handy appliances like a blender and a coffee maker. Both bedrooms have king-size beds and smart TVs, and the sofa in the living room doubles as a bed for extra guests. Within the building there’s a communal courtyard, a gym and a piano room. There’s also a lobby and a front desk, or you can contact the guest services team 24/7. The best of The Big Easy is within walking distance – it’s less than 10 minutes from the jazz clubs and Creole eateries on Bourbon Street, in the city’s historic French Quarter.

Lovers of jazz will be glad to know that this two-storey warehouse-style apartment is a hop away from the clubs on Bourbon Street. But even if you're not here for the music, you'll want to check out the architecture of the French Quarter or stroll around the French Market. For some culture, head to The Presbytère, the museum opposite St Louis Cathedral, just minutes away. There are so many restaurants and bars on your doorstep we doubt you'll spend much time indoors, but the stylish living space with its high ceilings, wood floors and bare brick walls, is the perfect place to plan the next day's escapades. Later, enjoy a drink on your balcony or get some fresh air in the building's communal courtyard. The open living space includes an excellent kitchen with everything you could need to cook from home and the building has everything from Wifi to a pack n' play crib, so all you have to do is bring your curiosity. Take a walking tour of little-known alleyways and atmospheric cemeteries, while the French Quarter will keep you entertained with the many lively bars, clubs, and restaurants. The elegant Garden District is an unexpected delight and a trip on a steamboat on the Mississippi is not to be missed.
