This beautiful home is set within dense woodland on the northern East Hampton Coast, just two blocks from a private beach looking out over Gardiners Bay. Inside, there are beautiful hardwood floors, a cosy fireplace for cool evenings and cathedral-like ceilings over the dining area. The bedrooms have that softbox glow thanks to neutral tones and lightweight curtains that offer privacy without blocking the light (so you may want to pack an eye mask for lie-ins). Step outside onto the terrace, and you'll find a seating area centred around a fire pit and a separate dining table, plus a grill for alfresco cooking on long summer evenings. The well-maintained lawn is plenty big enough for the kids to play ball games and keep themselves entertained. If you can tear yourself away, you're just fifteen minutes' drive from an afternoon of wine tasting or twenty-five minutes to Montauk Brewing Company. For a more family-friendly day out, head over to the Hanks Pumpkintown or The Milk Pail for apple picking and corn mazes.

Make your way outside and while away sunny days by the pool. Come evening, fire up the barbecue and tuck into an alfresco feast before gathering around the fire pit on the Adirondack chairs to watch the stars come out. The peaceful scenery is made even better by the excellent location. This home is tucked away on a tree-lined cul-de-sac that backs up to a nature preserve, with walking trails right on your doorstep. Cook in the state-of-the-art kitchen, barbecue outside on the terrace or screen a movie on the home cinema setup. There's ample outdoor seating and a delightful, heated private pool to enjoy, and in the evenings, you could always treat your loved ones to a performance on the home's drumkit. We love the huge, sociable sofa in the living room and the first-floor sun terrace in particular but nothing beats the location of this place. A matter of metres from the beach and surrounded by quiet streets perfect for walks and bike rides, it's also within easy reach of several shops and restaurants.

Dating back to the eighteenth century, it’s safe to say that The Whaler’s Cottage is steeped in history. It has a wonderful garden with lots of room for relaxing, and the interiors are stunning. It’s easy to see that Tom and Max have an eye for design. The many indoor and outdoor social spaces cater to groups of friends and families who love home-cooked meals and value one another's company. All this being said, if you ask us, the ultimate showstopper sits on the outside of the home. How could we possibly forget to mention the large heated pool? Encompassed by luscious greenery, here you'll have the chance to enjoy an invigorating morning swim. The perfect way to start the day, give your body a full workout before retreating to the poolside chaise loungers for an ice–cold glass of water and a freshly–prepared fruit salad.
We're confident you'll never want to leave this plush, private bolthole, but The Hamptons really is the most stunning location, so be sure to pay a visit to East Hampton Village, just five–minutes away and for a relaxing sandy stroll, head to the glorious Bay Beaches.

Exploring East Hampton is a breeze at this coastal cottage. Both downtown and the beach are easily accessible by bike, and a coffee shop and seafood restaurant are just down the street. How's that for being in the centre of the action? Back home, the heated seasonal pool is a highlight, as is the sprawling garden – trust us, they'll be plenty of space for little ones to let off some steam. Fast wi-fi makes remote working easy, while complimentary access to Netflix, Hulu and Disney+ is perfect for family movie nights. The fourth bedroom – which doubles as an office –  has a single sofa bed, which we think is best for children.

This riverfront home is the kind of getaway we dream of every day. The infinity pool and views of the Hudson River are magnificent – just imagine how calming it is to wake up to views of this calibre every day. Inside, it feels incredibly warm and welcoming, making it perfect for family gatherings and spending time with your loved ones. The screened porch was extremely inviting, it’s the kind of place that inspires you to slow down. While there’s a lot to love about this home, we couldn’t get enough of the garden – manicured and green, it also boasts an infinity pool.
