Slightly raised above lively Nachalat Binyamin, A New Dawn benefits from a great location. On Tuesdays and Fridays, you’ll be able to soak up the atmosphere from the popular art market, and there are also plenty of amazing restaurants, coffee shops, and bars nearby. The home itself lacks a little bit of character, but it’s practical, and we love the cosy balcony that overlooks the beautiful street.

Home truths

The kitchen isn’t as well-equipped as we would have liked it to be

There’s no dishwasher – time to roll up your sleeves!

Guests 3 and 4 would be on a sofa bed in the living room

One of the drawers in the chest of drawers next to the kitchen is broken – the host is aware of this

Due to the small size of the kitchen/living room space, it might feel too cramped for some if the sofa bed is also in use

About Kerem Hateimanim

Nestled in between the Carmel Market and the beach, you'll find Kerem Hateimanim, a small neighbourhood founded by Yemeni immigrants in the 1930s. It’s come a long way since then, and today it’s been taken over by bohemian Tel-Avivians looking for affordable housing. Even though Kerem Hateimanim is in the process of being gentrified, the neighbourhood hasn’t lost the authentic, village-like feel that’s beloved by many. There are still plenty of the original Yemenite restaurants around, which are worth a visit, even if you don’t end up staying in this part of the city.
