On a pretty hillside, within sight of the snowcapped mountains, this historic chalet dates back to the late 1700s. Full of character, it's as chocolate-box perfect as they come, with a private balcony and a Scandinavian wood stove in the living room. Recently refurbished, it's comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Inside, it's floor-to-ceiling natural wood, with a high, vaulted ceiling and all the living space open-plan. A cosy sofa area and dining table are over by the warm fire, and the kitchen is fully kitted out for cooking at home. And while one bedroom and a bathroom are on this level, a climb up the wooden stairs reveals a typical loft room with sleeping space for up to four more. Ideal as a base for walking or cycling in the summer – and with a storage room for your kit on the lower level – this home is also just a short drive from the ski area. Set in a little village, you'll experience an authentic stay in the Alps like no other.
