Stunning views are what caught our eye at this lakefront apartment. The wraparound balcony is the perfect place to enjoy them, whether you're tucking into an alfresco breakfast or savouring a sundowner. Although the interiors may not stack up to the surrounding scenery, they are practical and comfortable. There's also a sofa bed for two, but the space is a tad snug with it in use. Location-wise, Campione d'Italia is an Italian enclave entirely in Switzerland. Gourmet restaurants and local shops are nearby, while the other villages along Lake Como can be reached by ferry or car.

The apartment itself is simply delightful. Nestled on a quieter, secondary road,   this home fuses modern decor with a selection of welcoming amenities. We're particularly fond of the contemporary, tiled bathrooms, but it's the balcony that's really got us talking. Presenting the perfect spot to soak up those wonderful city views, start each day by grabbing a steaming hot latte from the Nespresso machine and heading out onto the balcony to watch the sunrise. 
Here on a business trip? The dedicated workspace welcomes you to set up your laptop and stationery ahead of a busy day's work. If, on the other hand, you're here for a spot of sightseeing, be sure to pay a visit to Piazza della Reforma. Home to a host of bistros and restaurants, it's no wonder this is one of the city's most popular tourist hotspots.
