Nothing quite says beach living like crisp white and deep blue interiors, poolside lounging, and expansive windows that allow plenty of natural light to stream in. Of course, close proximity to the sea doesn’t hurt, and this villa lies only a short walk away from Perera Beach. Spend days in the salty surf, only getting up to stroll the boardwalk in search of an ice cream cone. 

Forgetting about time is encouraged here, so if you find yourself out late, stop by the restaurants lining the boardwalk for an authentic dinner before returning home. Alternatively, stock up on ingredients for vegetable skewers and marinated chicken and fire up the grill back at the villa for a barbecue at sundown. 

When you aren't at the beach, spend days at home in and around the pool – occupy a sun lounger with a book in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. Stay out after dark for a bit of stargazing before watching a family movie on the plush sofa.

This Cypriot villa is situated close to the resort town of Pernera, but not so central that you'll be bothered by the noise. You'll find restaurants and bars an easy walk away, so you can holiday without a car if you so wish. The two double bedrooms enjoy their own balconies with views, but the upstairs bedrooms do mean this home won't be suitable for those that struggle with stairs. The swimming pool is the jewel of this home – it can be heated for an additional cost, and has plenty of seating for tanning or alfresco dining.

Sunrise Beach is a ten-minute walk from this home, putting you in a prime spot for exploring Protaras. Restaurants, bars, and shops are also nearby – although we still suggest a car if you plan to adventure further afield. Naturally, most of your time here will be spent exploring, especially as buzzing Ayia Napa is a fifteen-minute drive. During downtime, however, there's still quite a bit to enjoy at home. In the backyard, a private pool and sunny terrace are perfect for relaxing and dining alfresco. Head indoors, and you'll find an all-in-one living area filled with light, as well as four comfortable bedrooms upstairs. We think it's a great choice for families looking for a fuss-free stay near the Cyprus coast.

Inside, the property has a modern yet comfortable design with a living area featuring a corner sofa, widescreen TV and dining table seating 6 persons, as well as a fully equipped open plan kitchen. On the first floor, there are three light and airy bedrooms: the master bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower room, while the other double room and 3rd bedroom with twin beds share a bathroom. Outside, there is a 8 x 4 metre pool surrounded by sun-loungers with an umbrella, patio table and chairs, built-in BBQ and sink area - perfect for outside dining and entertaining. Villa Asteria is within easy reach of Kalamies Beach and the resort centre.

Yes, this villa is only 400 metres from the beach and not much further to the centre of the resort town of Protaras, but we'd like this address even if it was in the middle of nowhere. Only recently built, the interior feels fresh and contemporary, but our greatest praise is reserved for the outdoor space. Not only is there a particularly inviting swimming pool, but there's also a balcony with glorious views of the Med and vast amounts of terrace space on which to sunbathe, dine alfresco to even play pool out in the open air.

In the town of Paralimni, this villa puts you just 300 metres from the nearest sandy beach. The coastline here is studded with sandy bays between the cliffs, where crystal shallows laps at the shore. Should you need to stock up on supplies or fancy a night out, the restaurants, supermarkets and bars of Paralimni are a leisurely walk or a short drive away. 

It would be easy to while away your days at the villa itself, plunging into the turquoise pool to cool off and stretching out on a sun lounger to dry off. And repeat. Come lunchtime, there’s a sunny dining spot up on the rooftop terrace, where you can catch a glimpse of the sea between the sugar-white houses. Or, dine at the shaded table by the poolside. 

The living room is like a box of glass, illuminated by sunlight during the day. Glass sliding doors lead to the pool terrace, so you can glide from the open-plan kitchen to the outdoor dining table with ease. That’s unless you’re cooking alfresco too, thanks to the barbecue. Upstairs, all the bedrooms have their own access to private balconies, courtesy of glass double doors.

Stepping inside through the floor-to-ceiling patio doors of this sleek home, free-flowing spaces span the lower floor. That corner sofa beckons you to stretch out with a good book or keep your nominated chef company perched at the kitchen island as they rustle up brunch and mimosas. While upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms commanding magnificent sea views and direct access to the balcony for coffee in the early morning sun. And just wait until you see the panoramas from the shaded rooftop pergola – what a showstopper.

This newly built, pristine white villa sits just 300 metres from the sea. Stroll down to the sandy beach to build sandcastles and paddle in the clear shallows – the rocky coastline here is studded with secluded bays. In the other direction, the centre of Paralimni town has all the restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets and bars you could want, and is a leisurely walk or short drive away.

The villa is a vision of modernity, blazing white against a near-constant blue sky. Around the back of the villa, you’ll find an inviting turquoise swimming pool, just begging you to plunge in. Loungers are shaded by a parasol and the dining table sits beneath the balcony, so you don’t have to dine in direct sunlight. What we love most is the wall of glass that fronts the living room, sliding back to blend the indoors with the outdoors. The decor inside is natural and calming, encouraging you to unwind. Chefs will enjoy plenty of prep space in the open-plan kitchen, thanks to a sleek breakfast bar and kitchen island. Upstairs, each bedroom has double glass doors, leading to their own balconies. 

The Sea in Verse

This villa opens its doors to a swimming pool, garden and dining terrace, making it perfect for families and friends looking for a private outside space to relax and soak up the sunshine. Though, our favourite spot is on the rooftop terrace, with beautiful views out to the sea. Inside, it's bright and open, but the interiors are fairly uninspired. The bedrooms are on the smaller side too, so with recommend packing light. Location-wise, the villa is just a five-minute walk from the nearest sandy beach and is ideal for exploring the beautiful resort of Protaras. 

The Garden in Blue

This villa is located in a prime spot, just a short walk from Byzakia Beach and a handful of restaurants and shops. Outside, there’s a terrace with a dining area and a private pool for cooling off from the midday sun. While the interiors are simple and the bathroom could do with a refresh, the place is functional and comfortable.
