This eco-friendly studio apartment is situated just moments away from the Las Canteras beach, making it a good base for a couple or a solo traveller. Thanks to the central location, a car is not essential here, as you’ll have plenty of shopping and dining options to choose from within walking distance. Public transport options are also excellent if you want to explore further afield. The pad may be compact in size but there’s enough space here for two guests to be comfortable, and with good internet speed, you can also catch up on work during your stay – although you'll have to set-up shop around the dining table since there isn't a desk.

Set on the grounds of a 300-year-old farm just outside the village of Guatiza, it offers easy access to the volcanic landscapes of Tenegüime National Park and the waters of the North Atlantic. Its rustic interior decor is in keeping with its rural location, but given Lanzarote's fantastic year-round climate, we imagine you'll spend most of your time in the courtyard garden surrounded by tropical plants. Friends getting together for a holiday will love how spacious this home feels, with two bedrooms spaced apart across the two-storey villa and offering up private shower rooms and direct access to suntrap verandas. But it's that outdoor terrace downstairs with a private heated pool and views of the fairways and mountains beyond that's caught our attention – it's the perfect spot to toast the day with drinks and a barbecue.

When it's time to hit the fairways of the resort's 18-hole golf course, it's just a 200-metre shot away. However, you don't need to be a dab hand with the clubs to enjoy the perks of this resort. Located on the grounds of a luxurious hotel complex, there are plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained (for an additional fee) – think playroom, playground, and kids club. And a spa and shared sunset infinity pool and bar for post-game relaxation. When thoughts turn to food, book yourself a table at the resort's renowned brasserie or mooch into Maspalomas for the evening at one of its smart seafront tavernas.

This home is a rare find – it has a peaceful and private setting, and yet it's just a few minutes walk from the historic city of La Orotava. Surrounded by a plantation of avocados, relax on the multiple terraces (five no less), cool off from the Tenerife sun in the infinity waterfall pool with its Atlantic Ocean vistas or unwind in the hot tub. 

We love the professionally designed gardens – our favourite spot is the yoga/meditation corner –  very zen. There's a fantastic outdoor kitchen, too – cook up a feast while you enjoy the fabulous views of Mount Teide, the forests and hills. As sunset arrives, pick some mint for your mojitos from the herb garden or feel free to pick a lemon for your G&T. As the light continues to fade, gather around the designer fire pit. 

Or, on cooler evenings, cosy up in front of the wood-burning stove indoors. Here, you'll find gorgeous beamed, vaulted ceilings, as well as original pictures and sculptures.

There's plenty to do out and about too. Hire a bike and explore the terrain (many professional cycling teams train here). If you prefer something a bit less energetic, there are three golf courses within easy reach, including one designed by Seve Ballestros. The nearest beach is 3 kilometres away, along with the popular resort beaches and Lido in Puerto de la Cruz, while La Orotava has an array of cafes, shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Right on the beachfront at La Canteras, this home has a fabulous spot. Take in the fantastic Atlantic and La Canteras Beach views from this home’s sunny and dazzling whitewashed terrace. You can even spot Mount Teide in Tenerife in the distance. We love this outdoor space, it's ideal for an alfresco breakfast (whizz up a drink in the juicer to accompany some churros). Later, do some sunbathing on the sun loungers. Inside, there are more of those fabulous vistas through the large sliding doors.

In the afternoon, perhaps head to La Canteras  Beach, under a minute stroll away. It’s one of the best urban beaches in the world, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to sample in the vicinity too. Or, for a bit of culture, Las Palmas Cathedral is a ten-minute ride away. It’s a couple of minutes more to Casa-Museo de Colón, which documents Columbus’ voyages.

We don't throw around the term 'tropical oasis' very often, but the lush garden at this 300-year-old former farmhouse is more than deserving of the title. Brimming with mature shrubs, vibrant flowers and tall leafy trees, you'll want to spend all day, every day here basking in the Spanish sunshine and watching the palms sway. This is one of the more minimalist homes we’ve seen in Tenerife, with white walls and clean, unfussy architectural lines throughout. However, it’s anything but barren – with this view of the harbour visible from almost every window, any other adornment would be like gilding the lily. Bright artworks and natural materials add understated warmth to interiors, but the star of the show is the outdoor area – swinging seats, lounge chairs, a lush green lawn, and a sparkling pool make Lemon Crush a refreshing little island oasis in the heart of Tenerife.

The building located in Gran Canaria, one of the most beautiful islands of the Canary archipelago, opened in July 2023 and belongs to the municipality of Telde, between the beaches of Melenara (140 metres away) and Salinetas (250 metres away). Sustainability has been taken into account and it is equipped with intelligent locks so that you can forget about the possible problems that keys can cause.

Melenara Beach is 350 metres long and 30 metres wide, with black volcanic sand and a wide range of restaurants that allow you to enjoy the rich and varied local gastronomy. Melenara is a quiet and very familiar beach, with parking and spa, with bathing service, adapted for disabled people, lifeguard service throughout the year, children's playground and blue flag.

The Apolo flat is located on the second floor, with two bedrooms, open-plan kitchen, living-dining room and bathroom. It is accessible, exterior, soundproofed, modern and bright, with capacity for three people and has all the comforts you could wish for. 

The spacious rooms are stylishly decorated with careful attention to detail and modern touches, with 1.5 metre beds, ideal for resting after a day of exploring. 

The dining room has a large bay window and offers a three-seater sofa bed, smart TV and side tables. The dining room has a table and three chairs, which can also be used for working, as the chairs are very comfortable. 

The fully equipped kitchen has a combined fridge, ceramic hob, microwave, extractor fan, complete kitchenware and small appliances, as well as a water purifier.

In the bathroom, apart from the WC, washbasin and shower tray, there is a washing machine and dryer together with a storage unit, where the hairdryer is located.

In short, it is the perfect place to disconnect, relax and create unforgettable memories of your getaway!

This villa is a twenty-minute walk from the centre of lively Corralejo so you’re not right in the thick of things – it’s better suited to those looking to relax and unwind. And you can certainly relax beside the pool – which is larger than most for a villa this size – on an array of comfy loungers. Inside there’s a mix of Canarian-style wood beams and bright splashes of colour – it’s homey and welcoming but not the most modern. We love the outside space, and Playa Vista Lobos is within easy reach.

You're right at the epicentre of Corralejo's resort life at this villa, perched just a stroll from the beaches' bright white sands. The striking distance to El Campanario shopping centre is handy (it's directly opposite), but if you're chasing escapism and seclusion, you may want to look elsewhere. Well-geared to family holidays, the neat pool area is gated for added peace of mind. While inside, interiors are pared back and oh-so-practical. And everyone will appreciate the sense of space this home brings, with bedrooms spread across the three floors.
