This practical apartment is located in the heart of Malaga's historic centre, just a stone's throw away from tourist hotspots such as Calle Larios, Plaza de la Constitución, and the Picasso and Thyssen Museums. While it’s not the most characterful pad in our collection, a sofa bed in the living area offers flexible sleeping arrangements, and the Juliet balcony in the main bedroom is a nice touch too. The kitchenette is a little basic for our liking, but given the home’s stellar spot, you’ll find plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby, offering a true taste of Malagan living.

Malaga is a marvellous city to explore. With its winning combination of beaches and city sights, it’s perfect for short breaks – and this apartment is the perfect base. It’s in the historic centre of the city, just a stone’s throw from the cathedral. The Picasso Museum is a four-minute walk, and there are so many restaurants and bars that you’re never more than a few feet from your next top-notch dining experience. When you’ve seen all the sights and you long to relax, you can make your way to La Malagueta beach to splash in the shallows and build sandcastles. 

The apartment is spread over two floors so there’s plenty of space – it’s an ideal option for couples travelling together. It’s stylish and comfortable, with everything you might need. The crowning jewel is undoubtedly the private roof terrace, where we’d be spending most of our time. Begin your day with fruit juice and pastries in the fresh air, drinking in the view of the cathedral and the city’s rooftops. Perhaps after visiting a museum or gallery, you’ll head back to doze on a sun lounger, revelling in the outdoor space. In the evenings, sip cocktails as the sun starts to set, and dine under the stars. You’ll never want to leave.

Or culture lovers can head to the Picasso Museum, a four-minute amble. For a day on the nearby golden sands, La Malagueta and La Caleta Beach are around a fifteen-minute walk.

It's also worth noting that if six of you share, the last two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the lounge. Not ideal for some, but for a bolthole this central, we think it's a keeper.
