The apartment is bright and modern with doors leading out to a lovely balcony offering beautiful views of Fuengirola and the surrounding Mijas mountains. It's ideal for families with a twin single bedroom, double sofa bed, and plenty of living space to sprawl out and relax. Our favourite spot is out on the private patio, with complete privacy and comfy furniture. While the kitchen is very small, you'll find plenty of Spanish restaurants and tapas bars on your doorstep. The designs aren’t so inspiring, but it's modern and practical, with everything you need for a relaxing coastal getaway.

The communal pool and gardens may be the main attractions at this coastal apartment, although the highlight for us is definitely the large balcony. The apartment itself is modern and practical, but it lacks some character. That said, there’s a bright open-plan living room for relaxing and a lovely sea view to admire while you’re preparing a tapas dinner. We think this location makes for a great Costa del Sol base – golf courses, sandy beaches, and well-known beach restaurants are all within easy reach.

While the complex is ideal for family holidays, you should expect some noise around the communal gym and sauna. We love that there are two shared pools for summertime splashes, too. Just along the coast, nearby Fuengirola offers an easy day trip with lots to see and do.

Set between Fuengirola and Benalmadena, this apartment offers a range of restaurants and shops on its doorstep, while also being just a short drive from the sands of Playa de Carvajal. Guests will have their own terrace to enjoy, perfect for dining alfresco while admiring the sea views, as well as a private hot tub for soaking under the stars. The designs may be minimal, albeit a little dated, but the apartment is practical for a stay along Spain's Costa del Sol. Additionally, with sports clubs, beach bars, and an 8km-long promenade nearby, this location is perfect for exploring the region.

A sense of calm will wash over you from the moment you arrive at this idyllic home. Surrounded by palm trees and fragrant gardens, this grand villa in the Costa del Sol has beautiful views of the mountains, sumptuously decorated rooms, and a spectacular swimming pool. The villa is designed in the opulent Ancient Roman style, with a pillared portico entrance that leads through to the atrium with a fountain at its centre. A shaded terrace wraps around the house, with plenty of places to relax, an alfresco dining table and a high spec barbecue for whipping up traditional Spanish feasts. 

Start the day with a dip in the crystalline waters of the pool, before enjoying breakfast on the terrace. There are plenty of sun loungers to relax on, as well as a ping pong table for a quick games in between sunbathing. You could easily spend all week admiring the gardens and splashing around in the water, but there’s plenty to explore nearby too. This home is on the outskirts of the famous Mijas Golf Resort, with two excellent 18-hole courses, and also a short drive to the buzzy town of Fuengirola, with its beautiful beach. After a day of sun, sea, and sand, come home and enjoy cocktails on the terrace while the kids run around in the garden and play on the trampoline.

Overlooking the first and second holes of a neighbouring golf course, we feel compelled to stress that this villa is way more than a glorified viewing platform. By all means, sit out on the balcony and watch players make their way along the fairway, but if you're not into the sport, why not paddle about in the heated infinity pool, sit back in the Jacuzzi or cook up something tasty on the barbecue instead?

We're happy to tell you that there are plenty more thrills inside, too. In the games room, you'll find a pool table, bar and kitchenette, while the huge kitchen will be appreciated by the culinary gifted. Elsewhere, there are a couple of elegant bathtubs in which you can luxuriate after a long day exploring the local area.

And there is plenty to see around here. The yachts and shops of Puerto Banús marina take less than ten minutes to reach in the car, and there's also a beach there, too. The historical centre of Marbella is a twenty-minute drive as well.
