You'll find this apartment in Eixample, an area packed with Catalan charm. You've got Gaudí masterpieces a short walk away, restaurants and shops on your doorstep, and easy access to many of Barcelona's top attractions. Obviously, the central location is a major draw, but the apartment itself isn't too shabby either. There's a desk ideal for remote workers, a well-equipped kitchen if you fancy rustling up tapas, and two cosy bedrooms. Only the living area has air conditioning but we think you'll be fine with that once you see the private terrace. Perfect for alfresco dinner and drinks, we can't think of a better spot to unwind after sightseeing.

This apartment sits just a few steps from the sea, and only 200 metres from Baia Caddinas, a gentle cove with fine white sand. As if that weren’t enough, you’ll also have access to two shared swimming pools, which look out to sea. The balcony is dreamy, and where you’ll likely spend most of your time, though the rest of the home is charming too. With two bathrooms, it’s plenty big enough for four. You'll need to pay for your linen unless you plan on bringing your own.

There’s even a telescope in the study so you can explore the area from the comfort of your own home, or go full Rear Window and see what your neighbours are up to down in the harbour. The muted grey tones of the exterior are mirrored in the contemporary kitchen, while the dining room is framed by floor-to-ceiling windows offering the best views in the house. Outside, you’ll find a wooden deck that’s perfect for morning coffees, evening cocktails, and everything in between.

With direct access to Padulella Beach, this villa guarantees a memorable stay on the island of Elba. Outdoor living is encouraged here, thanks to the summer kitchen complete with a wood oven, infinity pool and a covered terrace overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. There’s a rustic approach to the interiors, which we find charming, and we love the sunken Jacuzzi in the main bedroom. Hiring a car is recommended if you fancy exploring the island – let your first stop be Portoferraio, a six-minute drive away.

The place is unfussy but well-equipped and the separate bedroom and bathroom are ideal for those who’d like their own space. Outside, there are plenty of spots to unwind in the sunshine and the private pool offers knockout views of the Mediterranean Sea. Location-wise, you’re a short drive from traditional restaurants and Li Cossi Beach.

While the apartment may not be the most luxurious in our collection, the practical space works well for a family or two couples and you’ll have sea views from the private terrace and balcony. Further afield, the coastal town of Golfo Aranci, with its picturesque harbour and selection of bars and restaurants, is a 25 minute walk or a short drive away.

Switch off and experience the beauty of Sardinia at this home in Punta Molara. Despite lacking wi-fi, the dappled veranda and private swimming pool will be a welcome distraction. The views are pretty great, too – and the alfresco dining table and outdoor sofa are perfect places to enjoy them.
