Dating back to the times of the Roman Empire, Porto-Vecchio is as picturesque and charming as any town in the Mediterranean. This gorgeous apartment sits in a renovated 19th-century building in the heart of the Old Town and offers stunning views in every direction. Inside, cool off from the midday heat in the air-conditioned living space while enjoying the natural light and views across the town. Our favourite bit is the expansive roof terrace, the ideal place to gather for soaking up the Corsican sunshine. The well-shaded dining area has its own barbecue so you can sit down to eat alfresco at lunchtime. There’s also a relaxing chill-out area, with wicker furniture and beanbags overlooking the Mediterranean sea below. If you can tear yourself away from your home's many little luxuries, you're only a fifteen-minute walk from a sandy beach and the charming marina filled with bobbing yachts, while just outside your door, the Old Town offers up restaurants, bars and plenty of cultural attractions including the impressive Église St-Jean-Baptiste.

We love the uninterrupted bucolic views from this contemporary home on the outskirts of Porto Vecchio. The location gives you the best of both worlds —you're within easy reach of Corsica’s answer to St. Tropez (it’s a 10-minute walk to the edge of town) but you can come home to relax in the quiet countryside.
