This Boulogne-Billancourt apartment is a little oasis in the 16th arrondissement. It’s a little on the periphery but within easy reach of Bois de Boulogne, Fondation Louis Vuitton and the Eiffel Tower. Plus, Exelmans metro station (a few steps away) makes venturing out and about effortless. The balcony is the highlight here and just the spot for morning coffees or evening glasses of wine – even if you do need to climb the stairs to reach this apartment. The space overall is fairly simple but perfectly practical for a laid-back stay.

This beautiful modernist home really does hit the sweet spot. First of all, the location is fantastic for tennis fans. It’s under a ten-minute stroll to Stade Roland-Garros, which hosts the French Open. If tennis isn't your thing, newly built La Seine Musicale, a must-visit for music lovers, is just over thirty minutes on foot. Located in the 16th arrondissement, this affluent district is akin to the Upper East Side of New York – chic and very sought after, so you'll find lots of stylish eateries and bars too. Or, if you fancy some green space, go for a walk around the beautiful Bois de Boulogne, a five-minute saunter.

You don’t have to go anywhere to relax outside, though – this home has two wonderful outdoor spaces. We love the balcony overlooking the neighbourhood, while a terrace complete with a table and chairs, as well as a barbecue, is perfect for idyllic meals at sunset, followed by a glass of Champagne. Or, eat inside, in the dining room with its modernist black chandelier and a long dining table surrounded by Eames chairs. Later, take a seat on the Le Corbusier style chair and read a book from the library in the impressive living room with its double height ceiling and feature glazing. All in all, this home is a winner – we think it’s worth making a racket about.

Striking distance from Roland-Garros Stadium (the site of the French Open) and Parc des Princes (home to Paris Saint-Germain), it's well-placed to discover Paris' sporty side. If sightseeing is more your speed, not to worry – the metro is a ten-minute stroll away and can whisk you to all the landmarks. Back home, the balcony beckons for morning coffees and evening sundowners. The living space is cosy, too – there's even a desk if remote working is on the cards. We think it's a practical, comfortable option for couples and solo travellers.

The two bathrooms and separate WCs help offset any morning traffic, while out the front door, the neighbourhood of Boulogne Billancourt offers traditional cafes, bars, and proximity to the verdant Bois de Boulogne.

We particularly enjoyed the open-plan kitchen with a generous island that's ideal for sociable cooking. A couple looking to stay in a less touristy part of town and live amongst locals will find this spot has lots to offer and is also well connected.

Sporty types will enjoy this apartment in Auteuil. Roland-Garros, Parc des Princes (home to Paris Saint-Germain FC) and Stade Jean-Bouin are all just a short walk away, while the idyllic Bois de Boulogne is also nearby for outdoor adventures. It's not the biggest pad in our collection, but it works well for quick trips, especially when the sofa bed is in use. The lounge is bright and cosy, the kitchen is well-appointed (albeit a tad dated), and the main bedroom has a desk for remote working. Prefer sightseeing to sports? The nearest metro is just a three-minute walk away, connecting you to central Paris and all its landmarks.

You’ll find this home within walking distance of the famous Roland Garros Stadium and the Bois de Boulogne. For those keen to check out Paris’ cultural sights, catch the metro from the Boulogne Jean Jaurès station. With two living spaces – one for socialising and the other for hunkering down in front of a film – there is plenty of room for a group of four to relax. Just so you're aware, there’s no handrail on the stairs, which may cause difficulties for small children or those with limited mobility.

There are also two balconies and you’ll find plenty of space across the living room to relax and socialise. Upstairs, the bedrooms are well suited to families with the third and fourth bedrooms both featuring pull-out beds – making this a great option for kids. There is no private parking available here, but it’s just a three-minute stroll to Boulogne Jean Jaurès metro station. You can also walk to Bois de Boulogne, Roland-Garros and Parc des Princes.
