Secluded in the French countryside, this beautifully restored villa is the perfect getaway for large groups. The traditional Provencal interior brings no shortage of space and comfort and the villa stands on 650 acres of land, giving way to olive groves and fruit trees as far as the eye can see. Eight bedrooms are within the main house, and a further three are situated in the separate cottage, known as the 'Bergerie', where you'll also find a separate kitchen - great for inter-generational groups or those wanting more privacy from the main house. The kids will love the private pool, and grown-ups can take advantage of the poolhouse seating whilst supervising. Location-wise, you can venture to the coast on a day trip or visit the medieval Carcassonne, only a fifteen-minute drive away.

A short drive from the city of Montpellier, this villa offers fantastic views and plenty to do. We think it's a great choice for families and friend groups – it's bursting with amenities, including all-terrain bikes, a pétanque court, a heated infinity pool, and a gym and sauna. The dedicated office has a double sofa bed for two guests, and there are two EV chargers here for added convenience. We do recommend hiring a car here to make the most of your stay, whether it's exploring Montpellier or the village of Montferrier-sur-Lez, or spending a day at the beach.

We think it's ideal for a romantic getaway – children aren't permitted here, so you can take advantage of the peace and quiet. With your own Jacuzzi on the terrace and a private pool heated between April and October, it's well-equipped for alfresco living. We highly recommend hiring a car here to make the most of this gorgeous location, whether it's a day trip to Sommières or the bustling Montpellier.

This home ticks every box when it comes to fuss-free holiday homes. It’s small but perfectly formed, with a cosy living room that’s the heart of the home. Children will love sleeping on the mezzanine level, where they can have their own space while still being close to the grown-ups. 

The outside space here is sure to win over everyone, though. You’ll have access to the shared swimming pool, which is a dream to dive into on hot, sunny days. You can sunbathe alongside the pool, dipping a toe in every now and then, or choose to soak up the sun on one of two terraces. This once mid-19th-century manor house now functions as a peaceful escape for large groups after being lovingly restored. With some of the historic charm still intact, the chateau has some of the rustic features you'd identify in an older home, and though that style might not suit everyone, you can't deny there's character, comfort and space in spades. Given the sloped ceiling, the bedroom with the four single beds would be best suited to kids, whilst another double room with an adjacent kid's bed is perfect for little ones not brave enough to venture out on their own yet. The garden is picture-perfect for alfresco dining, especially after sourcing produce at the weekly market in Carmaux.

This winemaker's abode from the early 20th century preserves many of its original features. Crafted in local stone, the ground floor bears marks of the century old wine tanks. A typical day here involves sipping wines at the local vineyards followed by visits to quaint boutiques, morning markets and galleries of Pézenas. If you can ever get enough of the festivities and street music of the village, there's a whole different world to explore. While the nearby beaches of Cap d’Agade and Marseillan Plage have gorgeous coastlines lined with delicious sea-food haunts, the rivers are a hot-bed for swimming, fishing, biking and water-sports. We don't debate that it can take up all your summer to simply scratch the surface of Languedoc. However, it would be a missed opportunity to not include a day trip to the walled city of Carcassone while you're here.
