A short drive from the city of Montpellier, this villa offers fantastic views and plenty to do. We think it's a great choice for families and friend groups – it's bursting with amenities, including all-terrain bikes, a pétanque court, a heated infinity pool, and a gym and sauna. The dedicated office has a double sofa bed for two guests, and there are two EV chargers here for added convenience. We do recommend hiring a car here to make the most of your stay, whether it's exploring Montpellier or the village of Montferrier-sur-Lez, or spending a day at the beach.

Secluded in the French countryside, this beautifully restored villa is the perfect getaway for large groups. The traditional Provencal interior brings no shortage of space and comfort and the villa stands on 650 acres of land, giving way to olive groves and fruit trees as far as the eye can see. Eight bedrooms are within the main house, and a further three are situated in the separate cottage, known as the 'Bergerie', where you'll also find a separate kitchen - great for inter-generational groups or those wanting more privacy from the main house. The kids will love the private pool, and grown-ups can take advantage of the poolhouse seating whilst supervising. Location-wise, you can venture to the coast on a day trip or visit the medieval Carcassonne, only a fifteen-minute drive away.

We love the exposed stone walls and wooden beams, while the modernity of the stainless-steel kitchen and contemporary staircase blends well with the old. There's a Zen atmosphere here, too, thanks to the buddha artwork in the living space. Relax with a good book on the silver velvet sofa, then cook up a Provençal style lunch with ingredients from Avignon Halles, a mere three-minute walk away. However, there are plenty of eateries on your doorstep if you prefer to eat out. Later explore Palais des Papes – one of the most significant medieval Gothic buildings in Europe or watch a production at the Opéra Grand Avignon, both around ten minutes on foot. If nature is more your thing, go for a stroll around Barthelasse Island – there are 700 hectares of countryside to discover, and it's just ten minutes via the ferry. The iconic Pont d'Avignon, on the other hand, is a fifteen-minute saunter, while it’s the same walking distance to Rocher des Doms, a leafy hilltop park with a café.

With its secluded, heated pool, this elegant apartment housed in a 16th-century building in Uzès is the perfect French retreat. This charming restored home is full of character, from the remarkable circular stone staircase and wooden ceiling beams to the old stone floors. We love the gracious living room with its views over the fig and bamboo trees, the pool and the town's rooftops. There's a wood-burning stove, too, for cosy nights when the weather turns chilly and a desk for catching up on work as well. 

This place is ideal for a couple or family with two children. The icing on the cake here is the incredible hospitality from your lovely hosts. They can arrange all sorts of activities for you to do, including walking tours and cookery classes. 

When you're ready to explore the area, take a stroll around the town and admire the wonderful architecture or head to its renowned weekly market, then take a seat at one of its traditional restaurants. Further afield, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pont du Gard, under a twenty-minute drive away, or discover historic Nîmes, around thirty minutes in the car.

Situated in the Lot department, just south of the Dordogne River, this cosy 18th-century home is a wonderful place from which to explore the enchanting Occitanie region. 

Inside, original timber beams and stone walls have been lovingly restored to create a warm and inviting ambience. We loved the convivial living space with its squashy sofa and fully-equipped kitchen – ideal for those who like to flex their culinary muscles. When you’re not playing board games at the dining table, you’ll be out on the terrace, sipping a café au lait and watching the day pass by. 

Spend afternoons playing badminton before cooling off with a swim in the private pool. Later on, take the bicycles out for a spin through the surrounding countryside or why not jump in the car and explore the quaint medieval town of Sarlat-la-Canéda – it’s only a thirty-minute drive away.

Whether you're planning a family reunion, a getaway with your best friends, or a wellness escape to the French countryside, this mansion house is the ideal setting for a lavish trip. Dating back to the 18th century but with plenty of modern comforts, it provides a grand setting for a stay to remember. 

Walking up the stone staircase to the entrance, you'll feel like the lord or lady of the manor. Inside, each room is brimming with history – from the oil paintings to the collection of antique furniture, it's a truly opulent space. Fitness fans can play a game of tennis on the court or organise a workout class in the gym, before plunging into the outdoor swimming pool for a refreshing dip. If you prefer a slower pace, you can wander through twenty acres of parkland, then sweat out your stresses in the sauna or treat yourself to a long soak in the Jacuzzi. And, if you want to practice your golf swing, then the nearest course is just five minutes away by car.

A delightfully restored rectory in the Dordogne valley, this charming home provides peace and quiet for a family or group of friends wanting to slow down and switch off. Surrounded by manicured lawns that are perfect for picnics, you’ll spend mornings on the wraparound terrace listening to the birds sing in the fresh countryside air. When the temperature starts to rise, cool off with a dip in the inviting pool before heading inside to put together a tasty lunch for your loved ones. 

We loved the rustic interiors; exposed stone walls, terracotta-tiled floors and timber beams infuse an organic warmth throughout. Steal a moment for yourself in the cosy living space before retreating to the main bedroom for an afternoon snooze beneath double-height ceilings. If exploring is on the agenda, jump in the car and visit the nearby towns and villages – we were particularly fond of Gourdon, a twenty-minute drive away, as well as the craggy limestone plateaus of Causses du Quercy Natural Regional Park, reached in no more than thirty minutes.

It’s not every day that you get to wake up in a 19th-century castle, so when we came across this gorgeous home in France’s southern Occitanie region, we knew we had to have it in our collection.    

Situated in the heart of the verdant French countryside, this sprawling estate is the perfect setting for your next family reunion, boasting a grand total of thirteen bedrooms and a whole host of luxury amenities. You’ll live like a king here, spending long summer days lounging by the private swimming pool and feasting on delicious French meals in the castle grounds. Best of all, this townhouse has its own private heated pool for you to swim in. There’s also a roof terrace that’s ideal for sunset cocktails.
