We adore this home's location – it's just a five-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and the impressive Champs de Mars. Art lovers will enjoy it here too, as it's a ten-minute stroll across the River Seine to the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris. Notre-Dame Cathedral is twenty minutes on foot, or go for a romantic saunter along the river bank – it is the City of Love, after all. The apartment faces onto a beautiful green courtyard and is spacious and light, with high ceilings and contemporary decor. There's an industrial-chic kitchen, an ode to Eames at the dining table, bold modern artwork throughout and a great sound system, so you can sit back and relax after a busy day of sightseeing.

You'll be conveniently located just off the world-famous Avenue Champs-Elysées, tucked away on a quiet little street away from the crowds, yet only a six-minute walk from the Arc de Triomphe. On entering this accessible, ground-floor apartment, you'll be met by a calming palette of deep green, olive and coral in the open-plan kitchen diner. However, the traditional decor is interspersed with some unusual artwork. For example, there's a portrait of a rabbit dressed to the nines and a large-scale picture of a gentleman who looks ready to attend the court of King Louis XIV overlooking the bed. Elsewhere, the communal areas are to die for, with lavish leather seats, an elegant gas fire and a pocketless billiards table. Step out of the apartment, and you're minutes from some of Paris' most exclusive boutiques and finest haute cuisine. After indulging in some retail therapy, end your day at L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon Étoile, or Fouquet's, which cater to the city's most refined palates.

Neighbouring Jardins du Trocadéro, this home is close to many of the main attractions – Eiffel Tower and Palais de Tokyo to point the most obvious – making it an ideal pied-à-terre for a couple looking to visit the sights. Its overall modernist looks translate to a sleek high-tech kitchen and comfy corner sofa of brutalist lines. Although the bedroom is probably the least impressive room due its compact size and lack of light, it provides a quiet and dark environment that promotes an energising sleep – well needed after a busy day exploring.

Outside, it’s a short stroll through the neighbourhood towards the Eiffel Tower, and you’ll find galleries, museums and restaurants within easy walking distance. It’s worth noting this apartment is located on the second floor with no lift access, but once inside you’ll find thoughtfully designed rooms and plenty of space to switch off. There is a sofa bed in the living room for two guests, and the third bedroom comes with an ensuite bathroom and a hammam – providing the perfect spot to end the day.

We think this Parisian pad is perfect for families. The second bedroom has a cot, changing table, and plenty of toys, so little ones will be well looked after. Upstairs, meanwhile, is for the grown-ups, with a walk-in wardrobe that will impress even the most discerning fashionista. There's plenty of space to get cosy in the living area, but the real gem is the private balcony. Boasting views of the city's rooftops, it's the ideal spot to savour a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Factor in the central location – the Arc de Triomphe is about fifteen minutes on foot – and it's no wonder it caught our eye.

And where better to stay near the best sights of Paris than in a place that reminds you of the grandness of the city’s past. Admire the parquet floors and many marble fireplaces, the ceiling mouldings and intricate medallions. This home makes a strong case for the more prints the merrier. In the kitchen, you’ll find a more modern layout with everything you need for whipping up meals. Then sit back to enjoy them surrounded by pastel floral wallpaper in the dining room, and go back to acting like you’re Marie Antoinette.

Its striking wall art, such as the dazzling blue feathers, add an exotic flavour to the living space. Shoot some pool here, relax with a glass of fizz, get some fresh air in the courtyard garden or gather in the smart dining space for a special meal. There's plenty of space for a larger group to stretch out and not feel cramped. This place is perfect for entertaining family and friends in style.
