Sitting in a central spot to the south of the Seine, we're sure that you'll be just as smitten with this bright apartment as we are. There's a simply huge amount of natural light from the windows and doors that line the living space and this shines rather nicely off the stark white walls, wooden floor and sleek kitchen surfaces.

While it may not have the Haussmanian period charm of other homes in the French capital, the furnishings and finishes are all contemporary – even a little minimalist so in places – and there are no parts that we can identify as needing some urgent love and attention. There's plenty of room to kick back and relax after some serious sightseeing, while the smartly designed kitchen is plenty big enough should you decide you need a night off the city's famous restaurants.

Whenever you choose to leave the home, you'll be immediately greeted by the building's plant-filled courtyard, which is a pleasing pocket of green in the heart of the metropolis. Beyond that, it's easy to stroll over to some well-known attractions, including the Luxembourg Gardens and Les Invalides.

This bright and cheerful apartment is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day exploring Paris. There are windows all around the living room, making it bright and welcoming – it’s the heart of the home. At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in bedroom two, a pleasant, comfortable room. The apartment is close to Gare Montparnasse and the shops of Rue Cambronne, and has easy access to the metro, so visiting the rest of Paris is a breeze.

Stylish and practical, this apartment is a great base for small groups exploring the City of Lights. On the outskirts of Paris' tourist centre, you'll be removed from the crowds and yet the Eiffel Tower is half an hour away on the Metro. Plus, designer stores and high-end restaurants are set along Rue du Commerce. As it's set on the first floor, stairs are required, but the interiors are modern, and there's plenty of space for your group to spread out and relax. The sleek kitchen is a nice touch, with everything needed for preparing homemade dinners – when you're not out sampling the excellent local eateries and bistros, of course.

Located on the Left Bank, this apartment is within walking distance of the Hôtel des Invalides, with its museums and monuments. Other places of interest accessible on foot include the Eiffel Tower and the elegant Bon Marché, Paris's oldest department store. This area also has some grand architecture, and you don’t have to go anywhere to admire it – the French doors here offer great views. We love that the living and dining room is bathed in natural light. It’s also worth mentioning that if you’re a group of eight, two people will be sleeping here on a sofa bed. This apartment is a sound choice for friends and familes.

This attractive apartment is perfectly positioned for exploring Paris. It’s in the Notre-Dame-Des-Champs area, within easy reach of the Jardin du Luxembourg and Hôtel des Invalides. When you want to explore further-afield attractions like Montmartre, you can hop on the metro at either Vaneau or Duroc, both of which are a short walk away. The apartment is simple and stylish, a calm base in a bustling city. There’s a desk for those working during their stay and huge windows that fill the home with light.

This apartment is located in one of the city's most iconic neighbourhoods, Saint-Germain des Prés. There are many attractions within walking distance such as the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Hôtel des Invalides, as well as boutiques and top-quality restaurants to discover. Talking of dining – this home’s kitchen is on the compact side, but it has everything you need for cooking some French cuisine and there’s a dining table in the living room. This space also accommodates two more guests on a sofa bed. We think this place is an ideal pied-à-terre for exploring this slice of Paris and beyond.

This apartment is the perfect spot for a large group, with two separate apartments in one. There’s plenty of space for both social and private moments, with two living rooms, dining areas and kitchens. With four guests sleeping on sofa beds, we think this pad is better for a short city break, though it’s a great option if you’re seeking flexibility. And while city noise is to be expected here, this central location places you within easy reach of the Eiffel Tower, Hôtel des Invalides and Le Bon Marché.

French elegance radiates from every corner of this apartment. Designer wallpaper, ornamental fireplaces, ornate crown moulding – if you're after a characteristic stay, this is it. There's plenty of space for six, though a period home like this does come with a few quirks – both bathrooms are en-suite and the kitchen is on the smaller side. In terms of location, however, you're in an excellent spot. Multiple metro stations are within walking distance – the closest is Vaneau, a five-minute stroll away – and you've got the cafes, restaurants, and boutiques in artsy Saint-Germain-des-Prés easily reached on foot.

This charming studio apartment is the perfect place to experience authentic Paris. It’s in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, just a short walk from Jardins du Luxembourg, the Seine, and many of Paris’ most loved sights. The apartment features exposed beams and a mezzanine sleeping area, with two guests on a sofa bed below. We were taken by how light the home is, and how much room there is – for a studio in Paris, it’s practically palatial.

A seven-minute walk is all it takes and you can be gazing up at Paris’ most iconic landmark in person – just don’t forget to pop into some restaurants en route for some classic French cuisine. The home itself is cosy and comfortable, perfectly made for two. And although there’s no air conditioning here, there is a private balcony – just the spot for some fresh air as you sip a fine French wine.

There’s an artful elegance to this home in Montparnasse with its parquet flooring, corniced ceilings, antique furnishings and beautiful floor-to-ceiling French windows giving way to Juliet balconies. Filled with natural light, the main room has a cornucopia of decorative objects on its walls, as well as shelves packed with books for you to enjoy by the window-side seats. You’ll love gathering around the dining table for mornings of fresh coffee and croissants from the local patisseries and sitting down to intimate soirées as you watch the City of Light twinkle at sunset. It lies in the 14th arrondissement, just a short walk from the Catacombs, several museums, and the Tour Montparnasse offering skyline views over Paris. For ventures into the city, you'll be pleased to know the Losserand - Maine Metro Station is just footsteps away. Inside, there's a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area for when you're not out sampling the local eateries. Those travelling on business will also find a handy desk for remote working.

This studio apartment in the 15th arrondissement is ideal for a couple of travellers with packed itineraries. The space is fairly compact, with a sliding glass door to the bedroom, so it’s not the most private. That said, it’s a light-filled space for sharing breakfasts, remote working and unwinding with a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing. This area is a little quieter, though you’ll still find typical Parisian cafes and bistros on your doorstep. Plus, Vaurigard metro station is a few steps away, making inner-city adventures effortless.

This spacious home is located in a prestigious neighbourhood, just south of Champ de Mars and the Eiffel Tower. Set within a striking building with Art Deco charm, the home's interiors also have nods to this era's design, with simple lines and monochrome touches. We love its overall brightness, and a white upright piano that adds sophistication. We do feel the bedrooms and bathrooms are less impressive than the home's living spaces, but that they can still deliver comfort in a more functional way. With a guest capacity capped at three, this home is perfect for three colleagues on a work trip looking to stay close to Paris' most iconic sight.

Ideal for a couple of travellers with busy schedules, this tiny home manages to tick a lot of boxes. Though there isn't much headroom up on the mezzanine level, the king-sized bed is a bonus for a good night's sleep. We particularly love the clever layout and understairs storage here. Plus, there's a smoking-free courtyard outside to share with your neighbours. Its many cafes have been frequented in the past by artists and writers such as Picasso and Hemingway. Down its narrow streets, you'll find stylish boutiques and fine dining restaurants galore. The city's oldest and most iconic department store, Le Bon Marché, with La Grande Épicerie, the largest food hall in Paris, is just a five-minute saunter. Or, have a wander around the stunning Luxembourg Palace, a fifteen-minute stroll away. Back at this cosy home, we love the feel of this bright abode with its stone walls and old wooden beams – it's the perfect Parisian hideaway. On chillier evenings, light the fire, pour a glass of wine or make a brew with the gourmet tea provided and totally unwind. Wake up the following day to a tasty breakfast arranged by your lovely host, if you wish. In fact, there are an array of services available here to help you make the most of your stay, from a private chef to create the ultimate romantic dining experience to restaurant reservations. You could be forgiven for not wanting to leave, despite the delightful neighbourhood on your doorstep. We're very jealous of the lucky person or couple who get the chance to stay longer.

Managed by the neighbouring hotel, you can also expect hotel-quality services such as an optional breakfast and an on-call reception desk as well as daily cleaning for an additional fee. This home has the air of a small photographer's gallery with its street-side orientation and decorative black and white photography, making it the perfect stylish pad from which to explore the bohemian Rive Gauche. A twelve minute stroll will bring you to leafy Luxembourg Gardens plus, thanks to the excellent public transport links, you can arrive in the city centre in under twenty minutes.

This home in the heart of Paris is perfect for those wanting to explore with ease. With its enviable location comes the potential for some street noise, but after a day exploring the city, we think you’ll be too tired to notice. At full capacity, it’s worth noting that two people will sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, but it doesn’t impact the space. The cherry on the cake for us? The basement bathroom with vaulted stone ceiling – just the spot to freshen up before a day of sightseeing.

Not only are you strolling distance from the shops, restaurants, and sidewalk cafes in Saint-Germain-des-Pré, but all the famous landmarks are just a quick metro ride away. When you're not out and about, make yourself at home in this light-filled pad. It's not the biggest (nor the most modern), but it's a fuss-free option for families and couples. There's a desk if you need to catch up on work and a sofa bed that can sleep one adult or two children. We love the character features most of all – from the large French windows to the Juliet balconies overlooking the typically Parisian courtyard.

The ceilings are on the low side so it won't be suited to taller guests, but the interior courtyards on both sides of the home mean you'll get a nice breeze and less noise than in other central spots. While there's no parking outside, we love the location. The area is rich with restaurants and museums, and you'll find the Bon Marché close by for indulging in some retail therapy. For seeing all of Paris's best bits, Vaneau metro station is a five-minute walk away.

This former bookstore has been transformed into a cosy city retreat. Tucked in the heart of the Congress District, it’s well connected with the nearest metro station just a short walk away. There’s a great selection of local restaurants and cafes, and it’s possible to walk to the Seine and Champ de Mars. Wherever the day takes you, this apartment offers everything you could need to switch off and unwind. It’s worth noting there isn’t any natural light in the lower ground floor bedrooms, but the overall layout and design works perfectly for families and couples.

As you make your way here, you’ll pass through boulevards and side streets filled with cafes, boutiques, and art galleries – it’s the smallest district in Paris but still packs a punch. Surrounded by markets, boutiques and French eateries, there’s plenty to occupy your time locally. Back home, while there’s no air conditioning, you can throw open the generous doors and step out onto the private balcony to enjoy a spot of fresh air. But the cherry on the cake for us? The location. Just one kilometre from the Eiffel Tower, a trip to the symbol of Paris is a breeze.

On the cusp of the 15th and 7th arrondissements, this apartment is perfect for a fuss-free getaway. You're in a prime spot to sightsee here, as the Eiffel Tower is only a thirty-minute stroll away. Two metro stations are also nearby to connect you with the Latin Quarter, Arc de Triomphe, and other landmarks. Full of fabulous art, vintage maps and lots of natural light, this pad feels warm and inviting as soon as you step through the door. Two sets of bunk beds make it an ideal option for families. Just note there isn't a TV here – no big deal, as we reckon most of your time will be spent exploring.

This apartment is a stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars, making it perfect for exploring Paris. You'll find restaurants, bakeries, and shops on your doorstep, and two different metro stations nearby make venturing around the city a breeze. We love the artsy atmosphere back home, especially the colourful prints and paintings on the walls. It's a tad snug – two guests will sleep on a sofa bed, and a bookcase separates the main bedroom from the living area. But, for a fuss-free stay with family and friends, we think it fits the bill.

Inside, the decor continues on a sixties vibe, with a banquette dining area, wood-panelled feature wall, and mid-century furniture creating a coffee area in the lounge. In the bedrooms it’s a similar story, with funky patterned feature walls behind the headboards. While it might not be the sort of Parisian apartment you’d come to expect, we think anyone can fall in love with the bright, colourful, and playful feel of this home. While its vintage character is as charming as the local area, you can venture out further via the Montparnasse metro, fifteen minutes away.
