Stylish and practical, this apartment is a great base for small groups exploring the City of Lights. On the outskirts of Paris' tourist centre, you'll be removed from the crowds and yet the Eiffel Tower is half an hour away on the Metro. Plus, designer stores and high-end restaurants are set along Rue du Commerce. As it's set on the first floor, stairs are required, but the interiors are modern, and there's plenty of space for your group to spread out and relax. The sleek kitchen is a nice touch, with everything needed for preparing homemade dinners – when you're not out sampling the excellent local eateries and bistros, of course.

Sitting in a central spot to the south of the Seine, we're sure that you'll be just as smitten with this bright apartment as we are. There's a simply huge amount of natural light from the windows and doors that line the living space and this shines rather nicely off the stark white walls, wooden floor and sleek kitchen surfaces.

While it may not have the Haussmanian period charm of other homes in the French capital, the furnishings and finishes are all contemporary – even a little minimalist so in places – and there are no parts that we can identify as needing some urgent love and attention. There's plenty of room to kick back and relax after some serious sightseeing, while the smartly designed kitchen is plenty big enough should you decide you need a night off the city's famous restaurants.

Whenever you choose to leave the home, you'll be immediately greeted by the building's plant-filled courtyard, which is a pleasing pocket of green in the heart of the metropolis. Beyond that, it's easy to stroll over to some well-known attractions, including the Luxembourg Gardens and Les Invalides.

This apartment is located in one of the city's most iconic neighbourhoods, Saint-Germain des Prés. There are many attractions within walking distance such as the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Hôtel des Invalides, as well as boutiques and top-quality restaurants to discover. Talking of dining – this home’s kitchen is on the compact side, but it has everything you need for cooking some French cuisine and there’s a dining table in the living room. This space also accommodates two more guests on a sofa bed. We think this place is an ideal pied-à-terre for exploring this slice of Paris and beyond.

The apartment is simple and stylish, a calm base in a bustling city. There’s a desk for those working during their stay and huge windows that fill the home with light.

Located on the Left Bank, this apartment is within walking distance of the Hôtel des Invalides, with its museums and monuments. Other places of interest accessible on foot include the Eiffel Tower and the elegant Bon Marché, Paris's oldest department store. This area also has some grand architecture, and you don’t have to go anywhere to admire it – the French doors here offer great views. We love that the living and dining room is bathed in natural light. It’s also worth mentioning that if you’re a group of eight, two people will be sleeping here on a sofa bed. This apartment is a sound choice for friends and familes. 

Blue Sky & Trees

Located in the 15th arrondissement, this tiny house is just a twenty-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. You'll find restaurants, shops, and bars along nearby Rue du Commerce, as well as a couple of metro stations that make exploring Paris a breeze. Despite the fact that this home was once a garage, the interior is bright and stylish. All the decor is mid-century inspired, and it feels very cosy – just note that the bedroom lacks ventilation. A desk for remote working makes it a good choice for digital nomads.

This apartment is the perfect spot for a large group, with two separate apartments in one. There’s plenty of space for both social and private moments, with two living rooms, dining areas and kitchens. With four guests sleeping on sofa beds, we think this pad is better for a short city break, though it’s a great option if you’re seeking flexibility. And while city noise is to be expected here, this central location places you within easy reach of the Eiffel Tower, Hôtel des Invalides and Le Bon Marché.

With views across the Parisian rooftops to the Eiffel Tower and beyond, it’s easy to see why this home made it into our collection. A seven-minute walk is all it takes and you can be gazing up at Paris’ most iconic landmark in person – just don’t forget to pop into some restaurants en route for some classic French cuisine. The home itself is cosy and comfortable, perfectly made for two. And although there’s no air conditioning here, there is a private balcony – just the spot for some fresh air as you sip a fine French wine.

This home in the heart of Paris is perfect for those wanting to explore with ease. With its enviable location comes the potential for some street noise, but after a day exploring the city, we think you’ll be too tired to notice. At full capacity, it’s worth noting that two people will sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, but it doesn’t impact the space. The cherry on the cake for us? The basement bathroom with vaulted stone ceiling – just the spot to freshen up before a day of sightseeing.

This studio apartment in the 15th arrondissement is ideal for a couple of travellers with packed itineraries. The space is fairly compact, with a sliding glass door to the bedroom, so it’s not the most private. That said, it’s a light-filled space for sharing breakfasts, remote working and unwinding with a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing. This area is a little quieter, though you’ll still find typical Parisian cafes and bistros on your doorstep. Plus, Vaurigard metro station is a few steps away, making inner-city adventures effortless.

Ideal for a couple of travellers with busy schedules, this tiny home manages to tick a lot of boxes. Though there isn't much headroom up on the mezzanine level, the king-sized bed is a bonus for a good night's sleep. We particularly love the clever layout and understairs storage here. It’s in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, just a short walk from Jardins du Luxembourg, the Seine, and many of Paris’ most loved sights. The apartment features exposed beams and a mezzanine sleeping area, with two guests on a sofa bed below. We were taken by how light the home is, and how much room there is – for a studio in Paris, it’s practically palatial.

It lies in the 14th arrondissement, just a short walk from the Catacombs, several museums, and the Tour Montparnasse offering skyline views over Paris. For ventures into the city, you'll be pleased to know the Losserand - Maine Metro Station is just footsteps away. Inside, there's a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area for when you're not out sampling the local eateries. Those travelling on business will also find a handy desk for remote working.

French elegance radiates from every corner of this apartment. Designer wallpaper, ornamental fireplaces, ornate crown moulding – if you're after a characteristic stay, this is it. There's plenty of space for six, though a period home like this does come with a few quirks – both bathrooms are en-suite and the kitchen is on the smaller side. In terms of location, however, you're in an excellent spot. Multiple metro stations are within walking distance – the closest is Vaneau, a five-minute stroll away – and you've got the cafes, restaurants, and boutiques in artsy Saint-Germain-des-Prés easily reached on foot.

This spacious home is located in a prestigious neighbourhood, just south of Champ de Mars and the Eiffel Tower. Set within a striking building with Art Deco charm, the home's interiors also have nods to this era's design, with simple lines and monochrome touches. We love its overall brightness, and a white upright piano that adds sophistication. We do feel the bedrooms and bathrooms are less impressive than the home's living spaces, but that they can still deliver comfort in a more functional way. With a guest capacity capped at three, this home is perfect for three colleagues on a work trip looking to stay close to Paris' most iconic sight.

Situated in Paris's Saint Germain-des-Prés, this two-bedroom apartment is ideal for work trips and family breaks. The ceilings are on the low side so it won't be suited to taller guests, but the interior courtyards on both sides of the home mean you'll get a nice breeze and less noise than in other central spots. While there's no parking outside, we love the location. The area is rich with restaurants and museums, and you'll find the Bon Marché close by for indulging in some retail therapy. For seeing all of Paris's best bits, Vaneau metro station is a five-minute walk away.

Located in the southwest tip of Saint Germain-des-Prés, this petite but cosy flat used to be part of an art gallery. Managed by the neighbouring hotel, you can also expect hotel-quality services such as an optional breakfast and an on-call reception desk as well as daily cleaning for an additional fee. This home has the air of a small photographer's gallery with its street-side orientation and decorative black and white photography, making it the perfect stylish pad from which to explore the bohemian Rive Gauche. A twelve minute stroll will bring you to leafy Luxembourg Gardens plus, thanks to the excellent public transport links, you can arrive in the city centre in under twenty minutes.

Located in a quieter part of town but still conveniently within walking distance from the Eiffel Tower, this home offers a tranquil refuge from the bustle of central Paris. With a style that incorporates many personal touches and bedrooms with distinct personalities, it feels like a real home from home. While there are only two bathrooms – which could prove a bit of a stretch with a full house – it makes up for it with rainfall shower attachments for a sumptuous showering experience. It would suit a large group looking for a cosy home to retreat to after exploring the sights.

Flight of the Swallows

Many people want to experience the old world of this city and stay in its quintessentially Parisian 19th-century Haussmann buildings. But this home offers something completely different, and aesthetically intriguing. Inspired by Villa Cavrois, from the architect Mallet-Stevens, this 1960s modernist building is super stylish. A twenty-minute walk from the Montparnasse tower, this is a more urban part of the city, with a facade to match. Square balconies jut out from the front of the building, and a range of tiles adorn the walls up to the entrance. Inside, the decor continues on a sixties vibe, with a banquette dining area, wood-panelled feature wall, and mid-century furniture creating a coffee area in the lounge. In the bedrooms it’s a similar story, with funky patterned feature walls behind the headboards. While it might not be the sort of Parisian apartment you’d come to expect, we think anyone can fall in love with the bright, colourful, and playful feel of this home. While its vintage character is as charming as the local area, you can venture out further via the Montparnasse metro, fifteen minutes away.

Cavrois Soul

Located in Paris’ 15th arrondissement, this chic 1960s–inspired apartment is an ideal base for a couple or solo traveller looking for a comfortable, well-connected stay in the city. With its blue palette and cool retro-vibe, you’ll have no trouble easing into a Parisian way of life here. You’ll find this apartment in the 15th arrondissement, making it an ideal base for anyone seeking a taste of true Parisian life. Surrounded by markets, boutiques and French eateries, there’s plenty to occupy your time locally. Back home, while there’s no air conditioning, you can throw open the generous doors and step out onto the private balcony to enjoy a spot of fresh air. But the cherry on the cake for us? The location. Just one kilometre from the Eiffel Tower, a trip to the symbol of Paris is a breeze.

As you make your way here, you’ll pass through boulevards and side streets filled with cafes, boutiques, and art galleries – it’s the smallest district in Paris but still packs a punch. When you want to escape the hustle and bustle, stroll to nearby Luxembourg Garden for a picnic. The apartment is attractive and welcoming, flooded with light from tall windows. You’ll find an intricately decorated wood burner in the living room, and shelves packed with books and trinkets.
