Multiple outdoor spaces with lots of seating make this home ideal for entertaining in the summer, where you'll feel a million miles away from the buzz of the city. The owners are art collectors, so there are plenty of pieces to admire and it's impossible not to feel your stresses melt away when you enter the grand master bathroom, decked out in the finest marble. With so much space, this home is perfect for large family reunion or a group of friends, while corporate groups will be interested to know that it's also available for event hire. It’s spread over four levels so there are lots of stairs to climb here, but we love the abundance of space, particularly in the loft bedroom which has access to its own private balcony. The home also has a lovely, lived-in feel, decked out in original paintings by your host and boasting plenty of reading material for cosy evenings in. And to top it all off, it’s well served by public transport, so sightseeing is as easy as un, deux, trois.

Designed like an exotic summer house in the countryside, this Parisian apartment is a breath of fresh air amidst the city's hustle. We particularly love the glass conservatory-style roof that invites natural daylight floods through the space. However, the biggest highlight has to be the huge outdoor garden space (on Paris standards) surrounded by greenary.

It's hard to impress us but this modern home, with its designer feel, smashes all our expectations. A beautiful family home in the historic 14th arrondissement, it's a truly unique find that will make you feel right at home  without compromising on Parisian style. We love the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area – a dream room to entertain in that is also ideal for curling up with a novel and glass of red wine. Slide the glass door open and you'll also find a small but perfectly formed outside space perfect for a sundowner after a busy day exploring the city. The surrounding neighbourhood is full of bohemian spirit, with traditional bistros and bustling cafés, with the main sights of Paris just a short Métro ride away.

Nestled away in the 14th arrondissement away from the throngs of tourists in the centre of Paris, this apartment is an excellent option for those travelling to the French capital as part of a larger group.

There's nothing cramped about the space, with plenty of areas in which guests can kick back and relax. On warmer days, the outdoor terrace and patio complete with seating and an alfresco table is sure to see plenty of use, but the beanbags in the lounge and the separate TV area are equally cosy. One thing that we're quite impressed by is the huge kitchen, which has enough room for two, or even three, to cook together at the same time — many hands making light work and all that.

Sticking on this side of the Seine, the Catacombs are just under twenty minutes away on foot if you fancy a subterranean tour of the city, while the leafy pathways of Jardin du Luxembourg take a similar amount of time on the metro if you prefer to stay above-ground.

Located in a quiet and residential area of the city, this funky pad is a functional family home full of warmth and character. Stepping in to look around at the chic decor, you'll find an abundance of vibrant colours, abstract artwork, comfy seating and green houseplants that make for a modern and breathable interior. Natural light pours in through the sliding glass doors, creating a bright and airy kitchen area to knock up a lazy brunch or sip your morning java from the sleek breakfast bar. Better still, enjoy a glass of bubbly from your private balcony, with lovely views of the Eiffel Tower – it's the perfect spot to pause and take it all in, before a day of exploration. Outside of the building, the Parc Georges Brassens is a peaceful green expanse for afternoon strolls, while enjoying the authentic Parisian atmosphere, away from the usual tourists and intense crowds. You'll discover a wide range of cafés, bars and restaurants nearby, although if you do wish to venture into central Paris, the Montparnasse metro station is a short fifteen-minute walk from home. This cosy pied-a-terre caught our eye for its best-of-both-worlds location. Situated in a quiet street in the 14th district, there’s a Metro station within easy walking distance, so you can enjoy the buzz of central Paris with a peaceful base to retreat to. While the small space won’t suit everyone, we think it’s a great option for anyone wanting to drop their bags and explore. And when you’re not in the city centre, there’s lots to discover in the local area, with an array of shops, restaurants and parks nearby.

This apartment can be found on a quiet street in Montparnasse. It’s slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of central Paris, but the nearest Metro station is only eight minutes away, so you can easily see the sights. There are shops, bakeries, and restaurants nearby, and you’ll have a well-equipped kitchen to cook in. The apartment is simple in style, a calm space to call home. Two living spaces mean there’s plenty of room for relaxing during the day, though both are equipped with sofa beds and serve as sleeping spaces at night. 

City Stillness

Enjoy the best of both worlds at this family-friendly pad, offering a shaded garden for relaxing yet located just a stone's throw from the bustle of Vaugirard. While the home sleeps four, two guests will sleep in a bunkbed, which we think is better suited to children. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, but if you’d prefer to put your feet up, your host can arrange for a personal chef to sort dinner for you.

This bright and cheerful apartment is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day exploring Paris. There are windows all around the living room, making it bright and welcoming – it’s the heart of the home. At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in bedroom two, a pleasant, comfortable room. The apartment is close to Gare Montparnasse and the shops of Rue Cambronne, and has easy access to the metro, so visiting the rest of Paris is a breeze.

Sitting in a central spot to the south of the Seine, we're sure that you'll be just as smitten with this bright apartment as we are. There's a simply huge amount of natural light from the windows and doors that line the living space and this shines rather nicely off the stark white walls, wooden floor and sleek kitchen surfaces.

While it may not have the Haussmanian period charm of other homes in the French capital, the furnishings and finishes are all contemporary – even a little minimalist so in places – and there are no parts that we can identify as needing some urgent love and attention. There's plenty of room to kick back and relax after some serious sightseeing, while the smartly designed kitchen is plenty big enough should you decide you need a night off the city's famous restaurants.

Whenever you choose to leave the home, you'll be immediately greeted by the building's plant-filled courtyard, which is a pleasing pocket of green in the heart of the metropolis. Beyond that, it's easy to stroll over to some well-known attractions, including the Luxembourg Gardens and Les Invalides.

We love how much sunlight there is here, and the contemporary decor meshes perfectly with the original character features. Factor in the proximity to cafes, restaurants, and the neighbourhood's famous ice cream shop, and it more than ticks our boxes.

One of Paris' most famous landmarks is your neighbour at this central apartment. Notre Dame is only a short walk away, but next door is the Church of Saint-Séverin. It may not be as iconic as its neighbour but it’s just as beautiful – and you'll be treated to panoramas of the gothic architecture from the living room windows. View aside, we love the space on offer here, even if the second bedroom is a tad snug and two guests will sleep on a sofa bed. The contemporary finishes are a nice touch, too. There's a soaker bath, a sleek kitchen, and even air conditioning – no wonder it caught our eye.

Both the apartment and location here are excellent – let’s start with the home. One of the many highlights is the Eiffel Tower view from the private terrace accessed from the main bedroom. The other bedrooms offer views over the Parisian rooftops and there’s another balcony overlooking the street. The luxurious and timeless decor and furnishings here complement the Haussmann architecture. As mentioned, the address is wonderful too – you’ll be within walking distance of the iconic Louvre Museum, the Palais Royal and the Tuileries Gardens.

The Eiffel Terrace

It's easy to see why we love this apartment. First, the location is incredible. You're smack-dab in artsy Saint-Germain-des-Prés, one of Paris' most emblematic neighbourhoods. Although we could spend all day discovering the boutiques and eateries here, it's extremely well-connected to the rest of the city if you'd like to venture further afield. Secondly, the apartment itself is a real gem. The design combines traditional features with all the modern conveniences you'll need. Space can be a little tight with the sofa bed in use, but there's plenty of room in the main suite and the second bathroom is a nice bonus. If you're after a quintessentially Parisian experience, this is it.

With You, In Paris

Although the location is great, we’ll start with the apartment itself – you can see why with views like this. The vistas from the balcony over the Eiffel Tower, River Seine and the Quai des Orfèvres are fantastic. The open-plan living room and main bedroom have a wonderful outlook too. Now about the location – the home is situated on the exclusive Île de la Cité, so there are plenty of riverside strolls to be had. The nearby iconic Notre-Dame de Paris is also a short walk away, while across the Pont Neuf, you’ll find the Louvre Museum.
