Both the apartment and location here are excellent – let’s start with the home. One of the many highlights is the Eiffel Tower view from the private terrace accessed from the main bedroom. The other bedrooms offer views over the Parisian rooftops and there’s another balcony overlooking the street. The luxurious and timeless decor and furnishings here complement the Haussmann architecture. As mentioned, the address is wonderful too – you’ll be within walking distance of the iconic Louvre Museum, the Palais Royal and the Tuileries Gardens.

The Seine and Notre Dame Cathedral are your neighbours in this charming apartment. Set on the sought-after île-de-la-Cité, you'll be well-placed to explore on foot. Restaurants and cafes abound in the nearby Latin Quarter. Or, if seeing the sights is more your speed, you can stroll along the river towards the Louvre and Eiffel Tower. Back home, the climb to the fourth floor won't suit everyone, but we think the views overlooking the streets are worth it. The kitchen is a tad small and there isn't a dining space, but overall, it's a cosy and comfortable base for two.

Situated between the eclectic 2nd and elegant 9th arrondissements, this well-connected apartment is a peaceful sanctuary above the treetops. The former jewellery factory has been expertly renovated by architect Vincent Parreira, combining flowing lines with angular geometry and paying particular attention to the use of light that streams in through walls and ceilings made entirely of glass. Mirrored surfaces, interior windows and translucent sheer fabrics illuminate and transform the space throughout the course of the day. Then comes the view. We’d argue it’s the best in the city, you can see right over Paris with glimpses of the Sacré Coeur in the distance. Settle in with a bottle of red and a platter of cheese at twilight to watch the sky swirl in violet and orange; the dome of the neighbouring Palais Garnier glowing triumphantly once night eventually falls. Should you be able to spare a minute from the spectacular panoramas, you’ll find the Opéra metro station a two-minute amble east from your doorstep and the magnificent Louvre a ten-minute walk away.

This apartment is in the heart of Paris - it is right on the banks of the River Seine, between the bridges Pont Neuf and Pont des Art. The decor is luxurious throughout - the interiors may be a little flashy for some but the whimsical and indulgent touches complement the exposed ceiling beams and features of this 1830's apartment. The round bed with its freestanding bathtub in the bedroom bring an air of romance while the toilet is injected with disco vibes through the shiny golden surfaces. A perfect apartment for a couple visiting Paris.

Cafes and eateries abound in the Latin Quarter (ideal as the kitchen here is a little small), or you can stroll along the river towards the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, and other landmarks if sightseeing tickles your fancy. Though the design is simple, the lounge is filled with light – and the views of the tree-lined Seine are a real highlight. It's the perfect base for couples keen to be in Paris' beating heart.

This charming apartment surrounds you with the 2nd arrondissement's bars and museums. Plus, the nearby restaurants provide perfect dining options, as there's no oven here for hearty home cooking. Still, the hob is great for rustling up light bites in the wood-beamed living room. While remote workers will find a little desk in one bedroom, another boasts an en-suite shower with limited privacy. Looking to go out and tour Paris? You'll be between the Bonne Nouvelle and Sentier metro stations.

With this apartment, you’ll be staying within walking distance of some of Paris’s most iconic cultural attractions such as the Palais Garnier, the Louvre Museum and the Petit Palais. You'll also find renowned restaurants, bakeries and boutiques in the vicinity. So that’s the address – the home itself has a good-sized open-plan living space where guests five and six will be sleeping on a sofa bed. The kitchen area is compact but fully equipped, so you’ll be able to create some home-cooked meals. This elegant Haussmann apartment has everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay.

Live like a 1930s Parisian movie star in this chic, monochrome apartment. The sleek grey, black and white motif is as though someone has applied and black and white filter to the apartment. And there’s a sense of grandeur too with floor to ceiling French windows swathed with thick curtains and a chandelier above the dining table. The kitchen is pure modernity and there’s a little selection of guidebooks and cookbooks in the wall press, adding a homely touch. But the best thing about this apartment is the location. In the second Arrondissement, near the Gare de L’est and Gare du Nord, the streets around the apartment are home to boulangeries for morning croissants, and plenty of Parisian bistros and restaurants in the leafy boulevards. If you want to get out and explore the likes of The Louvre and Notre Dame, it’s a leisurely walk into the centre, or an easy hop on the metro from Strasbourg Saint-Denis, which is a minutes’ walk away.

Paris’ 1st arrondissement isn’t number one for just any old reason. Home to the Louvre/Palais-Royal neighbourhood, this is a historically lavish part of the city where you'll find some of the biggest attractions. A four-minute walk from the Palais du Louvre itself, this apartment certainly continues on a majestic theme. Through a courtyard full of lush plants, the entrance to this building has the famous cream-coloured walls of Parisian homes that you’d expect. However, the interiors tell another story. A rich orange sofa welcomes you to the modern living space – with exposed brickwork, a glossy tiled breakfast bar, and a full-length glass partition wall to break up the bedrooms. While frosted windows save your modesty, there’s nothing modest about the decor of the rooms. Find striking floral feature walls, jazzy cushions, gilded mirror frames, and a freestanding tub in one of the en-suites – it’s bourgeois-bohemian at its best. Take a crisp, morning walk to the Jardin des Tuileries after your café au lait (it’s only ten minutes from home). The Louvre–Rivoli metro is just a two-minute walk, so you can also head out to discover any areas of Paris. You might find it hard to leave your surrounding area though – with boulangeries, restaurants, and bars aplenty, you can dine out or feast like a king in your sumptuous apartment.

We fell head over heels for this charming home before even stepping foot over the threshold. Why? You really couldn't be better placed. Just a two-minute walk from Paris' most loved art gallery: the Louvre Museum. While you're only six minutes (on foot) to the Palais Royal and a short eleven-minute stroll to Tuileries Gardens. Although the street below is fairly busy and lively, this apartment is a pocket of calm and the perfect spot to relax. We really loved the authenticity of the home – from the wooden flooring, exposed beam ceiling and elegant Parisian windows – the apartment keeps true to its roots. Enjoy your coffee and croissants around the vintage wooden dining table for two or simply spend lazy mornings sat in the sunshine with a good book. Light pours into the living space making a fresh and airy spot to unwind on the comfy sofas after an afternoon exploring the city.
