You can slip into your own wood-fired hot tub just outside the back door, and the host has been thoughtful enough to provide a generous stack of logs to get you started. Meet the farm animals or set off alongside the private Nature Reserve to discover the private shingle beach on the River Tamar. Later, take advantage of some of the farm's other surprises — a communal games room with ping-pong, a shared tennis court, a hammock hidden away in the orchard, and a basketball hoop. With a number of extra activities also bookable, you can take part in a foraging workshop, try out stand-up paddleboarding or get involved in local wine tasting. Alternatively, you can drive to the port city of Plymouth in about forty minutes and visit the National Marine Aquarium.

Just over a mile from the village of Stithians, down by the River Kennall, this stone cottage is set in the 7-acre land surrounding an old farmhouse. But despite its incredibly rural setting, staying here is far from the rustic experience you might expect. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Upon arrival, your host will warmly welcome you with a hamper full of luxury Cornish fare and home-baked goods to start your holiday right. While you nibble and sip, you can start exploring the cosy home. Fluffy rugs, plush sofas, and wooden floors create a sense of warmth and softness in the living space, but floor-to-ceiling windows bring the outside in. And the great outdoors are particularly great in this case. Under the wooden decking, get ready to pop champagne and soak in the hot tub. Or perhaps you’d rather recline on the outdoor sofas by the wood-burner, have a barbecue, or play a few rounds of table tennis? As you’re just a fifteen-minute drive to Gyllyngvase Beach in Falmouth, you’ll also need to pack a picnic one day and head for the shore (don’t forget to grab the beach towels that your host kindly provides).

It's snug, but that's what makes it so cosy, and for a small space, it sure is packed with personal touches. Egyptian cotton sheets, electric fireplace, fluffy bathrobes, beach essentials, a welcome basket overflowing with breakfast items – your host has all the little details taken care of. As much as we adore the lovely kitchen, our favourite spot has to be the rustic courtyard. Dotted with olive trees and surrounded by leafy potted plants, it's the perfect place for morning coffees, alfresco dinners and evening tipples as the sun goes down. As far as locations go, this home is close to everything – it's only a ten-minute walk to Gyllyngvase Beach and five minutes to the restaurants, shops and pubs along the waterfront. While there's private parking on-site, you won't need the car for much. Don your comfiest shoes and set off on foot instead, exploring Falmouth's coastal walks, art galleries and cafes with ease.

On sunny days, it's a quick journey to Cornwall's most beautiful beaches. We love Lantic Bay, a sheltered cove that's only accessible by foot, for a sense of privacy. Fishing boats and surfboards sit side by side in the harbour, just outside this home’s walls. It’s in the centre of Looe, just five minutes from the beach and a three-minute walk from the train station. A working fishing town, the immediate area is filled with restaurants and pubs serving the freshest catch of the day and there’s a town beach where soft sand slips into turquoise sea. 

The view from big, Victoriana windows is over the quayside of the East Looe River so you can watch boats putting in and out. This place may look like a grand, Victorian villa on the outside, but inside it’s pristine white and modern with vibrant pops of silky blue. An exposed stone fireplace still sits at the heart of the living room though, where French doors let the natural light stream in. Cook your own catch of the day in the ultra-modern kitchen which is big enough for several chefs to bustle around in.

The real bonus here is the private terrace, which is set with a table and chairs. Overlooking the quayside, this is the perfect spot to share a bottle of something bubbly as the sun goes down over the water.

Set in a former hotel, this home is an excellent choice for exploring some of Cornwall's prettiest corners while avoiding the crowds. It’s a minutes’ drive from the bustling port of Looe, where we love to mosey around the model village, gorge on the catch of the day at a restaurant or perch on the sheltered beach. Polperro is also close by, a ten minutes’ drive away, with its cobbled streets and local pubs. Back at home, you’ll find a relaxing bright environment with beachy vibes. We love the different coloured wood in the kitchenette, the blue tiles in the bathroom and the wicker lamps. The loveseat has a clear nautical theme, perfect for afternoon lounging, while the bed is luxurious and welcoming at the end of the day. Enjoy breakfast at the small wooden table, or outside in finer weather, and map out your plans for the day. For the more adventurous, there are several canoe, kayak and paddleboarding shops in Looe, with the choice to hire or go on a guided tour. Otherwise, hit the gorgeous coastal walking paths, following the cliffs and coastline and even passing a few sheltered little beaches.

Formerly a listed Manor House, Courthouse, and Mill, the building is filled with a sense of history as well as its own unique character and sense of place. Not only do you have the ocean stretching out as far as the eye can see, but the beautiful bay of Praa Sands also curves down below, and the patchwork fields of south Cornwall lie in the distance. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room means that you can take in the scene even on cold days – when you may want to fire up the woodburner for a cosy evening in. Set in the vibrant Cornish sailing community of Fowey, alongside several Victorian buildings, this apartment is like something out of a fairytale. Designed to an incredibly high standard by your host, Alison, the interior feels very in keeping with the seaside locale without ever coming across as a cliche. There's not a deckchair stripe in sight. Instead, you're treated to sculptural driftwood lamps, moody seascape paintings, and a sophisticated palette of deep blues and grey tones that reflect the British weather more accurately than the usual sunshine yellow. If you can bear to leave the home, there are plenty of shops, restaurants and places of interest in the immediate vicinity. Fowey is a beautiful harbourside town with public events occurring throughout the year. The local community is a healthy mix of all ages who are warm and friendly and adept at making newcomers feel welcome.

Positioned in a most dramatic fashion, A Beacon Of Light sits on a granite headland on the North Cornish Coast under the watchful eyes of a beautiful, early-twentieth-century lighthouse. Located just six miles north of Land’s End and two miles from St Just, this fantastic coastal position gives guests the opportunity to experience plenty of excitement while basking in the glory of peaceful serenity. With breathtaking views of the Atlantic ocean, as well as an abundance of flora and fauna, from seabirds to golden gorse and pink thrift, the sights you see here are second to none. If you’re lucky, you may even wake up to find seals lounging on the rocks below the headland. In that case, be like them, sit out on the patio and let the sound of the crashing waves relax you.

And, hikers can don their boots and join the nearby South West Coastal Path, for an invigorating walk with spectacular vistas.

The cabin is based just outside of Launceston in Cornwall, close to the border of Devon. It’s brilliantly located for outdoorsy adventures, whether you’re keen on surfing or prefer to explore the countryside on foot. Dartmoor National Park is twenty-seven minutes away by car, with its wealth of wonderful hikes and cycling trails. You might take a day-trip to St Isaac to paddle in the sea and eat fish and chips and ice cream at the shore – it takes forty-three minutes to drive there, and it’s well worth the trip. 

After a day of exploring Cornwall and its gems, you can look forward to sipping wine on the terrace. The large windows, open living space and terrace present a spanning view of the water and natural surroundings. As you enter the home, The front door leads directly into the open-plan living room with oak flooring and full height sliding doors leading out onto a south-east facing balcony framing the panoramic waterfront views. With the waterfront vistas stretching through to the bedrooms too, it couldn't be easier to stretch out, unplug and relax away from the daily grind of working life. Boat lovers are in for a treat, as you can access the river via the private pontoon and explore the Cornish coastline without having to head to a port. With direct water access onto the estuary for about three hours on either side of high tide, enjoy canoeing or crabbing directly from the private pontoon. This, coupled with the dingy slipway offers the perfect waterfront lifestyle. The Peninsula is dotted with pretty fishing villages and unspoilt beaches, which provide excellent seaside adventures. It's a truly idyllic spot for families or groups of friends looking for a rural getaway and to enjoy nature's charm with outdoor activities and a slow pace of life.

Even though this home is only five minutes' walk from the golden sands of Cardis Bay, there's a heated swimming pool so you can take a dip without having to leave the address. Running alongside, there are loungers for catching some rays as well as a small outhouse with room for storing surfboards and beach equipment, plus a shower for washing off sand and sea salt from your skin.
