It's tucked down a tree-lined lane just outside of Tetbury, and if the chocolate-box exterior doesn't wow you, we reckon the countryside setting will. You'll be treated to views across Westonbirt Arboretum, best enjoyed in the sunny garden or from the cottage's panoramic window seat. Inside, you can curl up with a book in front of the fire, play a game around the dining table, or work remotely from the desk on the landing. There's also a handy utility room here, ideal for wiping off muddy paws and storing wellies after a long trek through the surrounding countryside.

Dating back to the 1880s, this former barn now provides a beautiful countryside cottage experience for families exploring The Cotswolds. Cosy and smartly furnished, the living room's feature fireplace has a log burner for warming up on winter evenings and leads through to a stylish dining space with log storage built into the wall. Equipped with everything you could need to cook at home, the kitchen is lit by a huge ceiling lantern and a big window. Bedrooms are classic country style and we particularly love the freestanding bathtub in the main bathroom and the pretty bedroom on the top floor. The house shares a rear courtyard with some neighbouring properties but a large, private garden lies across the lane to the front.

The Grade II listed castellated home has been lovingly refurbished to retain its character features, including stunning Gothic-style windows and an ornate arched doorway, while adding contemporary comforts. Pretty and comfortable, the cottage has a sitting room adorned with antique maps and artwork, and a pretty kitchen. Outside, you’ll find a patio and gravel courtyard garden with a barbecue and chiminea.

Nestled within a 19th Century water mill, this home is a great option for those seeking a cosy getaway in the heart of historic Malmesbury. From here, you can enjoy riverside walks as well as easy access to nearby restaurants, shops and cafes. Private parking is included and two well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you during your stay. It’s worth noting there is no garden here, but you will have a sweet little balcony and plenty of lounging space across the living room and bedrooms. Another favourite of ours is the gorgeous bedroom with its characterful beams, chandelier and free-standing bath, the perfect place for a soak after a long countryside walk. There are several gastro pubs within a ten-minute drive, or if you fancy exploring further afield, Cirencester and Tetbury are under fifteen minutes in the car. Alternatively, marvel at over two thousand different species of trees at the stunning Westonbirt Arboretum, just over a twenty-minute ride.
