There isn’t a homely feel here, we’d say, but it’s modern and fresh. Located on the Salford border – Manchester city centre is within walking distance or it’s a short bus ride away.

We love the old-world touches, like the cast iron heaters, sparkling chandeliers and ornate vintage mirrors. Escaping from the hustle and bustle of the big city is a no-brainer here. Throw open your windows in the morning, and you’ll hear birdsong – you might even see a passing deer or two. Whip up a quick breakfast in the fully equipped kitchen, and then put on your walking shoes. Miles of open countryside await right on your doorstep – the cottage is at the end of a drive where the village gives way to the natural world. You can spend entire days hiking the patchwork of fields and farms crisscrossed by a web of brooks. You’ll quickly work up an appetite after all that exploring. But there's much more to this cottage than the soft furnishings — thanks to its rural location, it offers a tranquil space for relaxation and reflection. Life here truly is simple. You wake up and make some delicious coffee in the French press, enjoy breakfast on the breakfast bar, maybe do some reading in the open-plan living room, and then head off towards your next adventure. Both Leeds and Machester are under an hour's drive away, which means you'll have your hands full with sightseeing and exploring the culinary scene of both these metropolitan cities. On days when you want to stay and enjoy the view, a grill is available on the patio where you can cook, rest, and relax.

Nestled in the green Cheshire countryside, Wilmslow is a market town with oodles of charm. You'll find this apartment just fifteen minutes on foot from the centre, where designer boutiques, chic cafes and a slew of delicious eateries are sure to tickle your fancy. We think days here are best spent in the fresh air, whether you're roaming the country lanes or enjoying a pint in the local gastropub's beer garden. Best of all, it's a quick twenty minutes by train to Manchester – or forty-five by car if you prefer to drive – so you won't be far from the city buzz, either.  

One step through the front door and you'll feel right at home in this inviting apartment. The design is contemporary but still cosy – and nowhere is that more clear than the lounge. Big sash windows flood the space with light and a plush sectional sofa invites you to kick off your shoes and sprawl out.
