London is a city that isn't short of an art gallery or two and this apartment takes influence from some of these cultural institutions. Illuminated by natural light from the huge window at the far side of the living room, the white walls are covered with a huge range of colourful works and there are curios dotted about here and there, too.

In addition to this eye-catching decoration, the design is definitely contemporary in flavour, particularly the chic white leather sofa, transparent dining chairs and a minimalist kitchen heavy on the sleek surfaces. The mezzanine level adds another layer to this home — both figuratively and literally — and offers an office, as well as another cosy lounge.

Although the street on which this home resides is certainly residential, there's plenty to see and do nearby. The corner of the huge Kensington Gardens can be reached in only eight minutes on foot, while the vintage boutiques and cute brunch spots of Portobello Road take around five.

You can stroll to cafes and shops in Notting Hill and there are great public transport links – Paddington station is just a five-minute walk away. It’s worth noting there are two flights of stairs leading up to the apartment, but once inside you’ll find all the essentials you could need to settle in and relax. The rooms are simple, fresh and well suited to families or couples in search of comfort in a fantastic location.

Paddington is one of London's most coveted neighbourhoods, and this luxury three-level townhouse that has been tastefully renovated fits the locale to a tee. It boasts outdoor space – a true mark of luxury in this part of London – and floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the home with natural light. Within walking distance of some of the city's most renowned sights and with the centre just a stone's throw away, it's ideal for families with older children, business travellers, or groups of friends.





A Quiet Residence

Situated on a mews street in the heart of Paddington, this home has the best of both worlds – a central spot in a quiet location. You can stroll to Hyde Park in ten minutes, and colourful Notting Hill is a twenty-minute walk away. And with Paddington Station on the doorstep, reaching the rest of the capital will be a breeze. Inside, the living area is lovely and bright – thanks to its huge, arched window – and a mezzanine level makes the most of the space. We think this characterful apartment is a great choice for a couple or solo traveller in London for business or pleasure.

London Mews

This city centre pad is in a prime location, with Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and London’s famous Oxford Street all within easy walking distance. And Edgware Road Tube station is just a two-minute stroll away, so exploring the rest of the capital is a breeze. We love the floor-to-ceiling windows here, and the private balcony with its urban views is a welcome addition. We think this contemporary bolthole will suit a couple of couples wanting easy access to the city and a comfortable place to crash.

Regent's Paradise

Exuding refinement, style and sophistication inside and out, a very different stay awaits on-board this converted canal boat moored up in the Paddington Basin. It's a premium location in the unique public floating garden, just ten minutes from Little Venice. Back on land, go for a spin on the free-to-use bicycles, exploring nearby Edgware Road and leafy green Hyde Park – under a seven-minute cycle away. When you do return to your luxurious barge, you'll find sleek Scandi interiors with warm reclaimed timber walls. Compact but better equipped than many homes, this houseboat provides the ultimate boutique hotel experience – from the swanky freestanding bathtub to the chic breakfast bar. There are plenty of entertainment options too. Snuggle up with a movie in the cosy (inside) living space – complete with a cleverly positioned projector. Choose a book from the extensive collection – courtesy of independent publishers – and sink back into the egg-shaped swing seat in your unique outside living space (and don't worry, you can purchase all the books on-board if you're a few chapters short). It's the perfect setting for a romantic getaway in the city, with the spectacular rooftop dining area also ideal for entertaining friends and celebrating a special occasion. We absolutely loved it. 

The Merchant Houseboat

If space and quiet in London are at the top of your list, you've just found a pearl. This lovely home has plenty of both – a rarity this close to the city centre. It’s a two-minute walk to Paddington Station, putting all of London at your disposal. Or, stay in the area and explore Hyde Park (a ten-minute walk) and the global eateries and bars that fill the streets around Paddington. Back at the home, a big living room has more than enough room for the group across two sofas and armchairs, perfect to unwind after a day in the city. The full kitchen is separate and has everything you need to knock up a family meal – served at the long dining table. Traditional features like fireplaces in the bedrooms, gilded mirrors and bay windows keep things classy. We particularly love the little outdoor space, set up with a picnic-style table for four and perfect for an evening glass of wine.

Django

A few steps from Hyde Park, this apartment makes a great base for an inspiring city stay. It’s also a practical option for commuters with Paddington Station just a five-minute walk away, while everyone can enjoy the close proximity to restaurants, cafes and shops. It’s possible you may hear some street noise throughout your stay, but the rooms are well suited to families and remote workers. Your host can also help organise child-friendly amenities and cleaning throughout your stay. 

Parkside Living

If you’re in search of a well connected city stay, this apartment delivers an easy solution. Nestled in the heart of Paddington, you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to neighbourhood restaurants and cafes. It’s also just a short stroll to Hyde Park and Marble Arch, while the close proximity to public transport means quick connections with the rest of London. The apartment is located in a traditional Victorian building dating back to 1841. Today it’s a cosy sanctuary with plenty of character and home comforts.
