You'll find this ground-floor apartment nestled among Pimlico's pretty white-washed houses. With Tate Britain, Victoria Station, and the Thames all within walking distance, it's hard to fault the location – there's plenty to see and do both near and far. Some may find the interiors here a little too traditional, but we think they're cosy. The window in the living space lets in a lot of natural light – though it does look onto the street – and the kitchen has all you need to rustle up meals. Factor in the sumptuous main suite and you can see why it caught our eye.

Throughout, you'll find ornate ceilings, marble fireplaces, elegant chandeliers and period fireplaces, alongside all the mod cons. The kitchen is the beating heart of this home, with its gas range, open-plan dining area and access to a suntrap terrace perfect for summer evenings. But that's not the only outdoor space – this home is also blessed with a balcony and a charming patio garden filled with the intoxicating scent of jasmine and wisteria. Netflix and board games are provided whilst the study offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the home for those who need to get some work done – striking the perfect balance between communal living while also providing privacy when it's needed. Perfectly proportioned for three, it’s worth noting that at full occupancy, one person will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room. Still, it’s a small price to pay for this home’s location. You have the use of a car park as well as a private terrace which are both rarities in this area. The space is more functional than characterful and you can tell this is not a lived home. The furnishings are smart and well finished and will suit guests who place more importance on location and convenience rather than charm and character.

Small yet stylish, this apartment blends Victorian charm with contemporary design. You'll find it in Pimlico, a short walk from the Thames, Tate Britain and multiple Tube stations. Buckingham Palace and Sloane Square are a bit further away but still within easy reach. Though the layout isn't the biggest, the bright living area is cosy and the kitchen is well-appointed to rustle up something to nibble on. We think the second bedroom is better for one adult or two small children – otherwise, it's a comfortable base to call home.

Stylish and contemporary, this apartment lies on the lower-ground level of a townhouse. Both bedrooms enjoy en-suites, and the cosy outdoor space lets you sit outside with a cup of tea or a light lunch and listen to the sounds of the city. Little ones under the age of three aren't permitted here, but we think it's ideal for friend groups or business trips. The location places you within easy reach of public transport and some of London's most iconic attractions. Whether you're strolling along the River Thames, discovering the vibrant local dining scene, or exploring the nearby Tate Britain, there's plenty to do.

Few homes scream 'quintessentially London' as loudly as this mews house. Secluded down a cute cobbled street, it boasts a wrought-iron spiral staircase, a balcony and a large, bright kitchen. There are also three single beds, which will suit families well. We loved how the relatively small space never feels cramped, and how the relaxation of a home is combined with a hotel-like concierge service. The Tate Britain's domestic artwork and The Thames are very nearby, as is Pimlico’s Underground station.

Housed in a Regency townhouse dating back to the 1850s, this Pimlico apartment offers a practical base from which to explore London’s sights. The Tate Britain is nearby for cultural afternoons and the historic sights of Westminster are an easy walk away too. Spread over the ground and lower ground floors, you won’t find much natural light in the downstairs bedroom, but it offers access to a small patio area with a table and chairs for alfresco drinks and dining. The living room offers flexible sleeping arrangements thanks to the sofa bed here, and the bathroom’s tub and rainfall shower are nice touches too.

With enough space for a small family or friends, this apartment places you in the heart of London. You'll find yourself a short walk from the sights of Westminster, including Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park, and nearby to Victoria tube station, connecting you to the likes of Kensington and Covent Garden via the Circle and District Underground lines. While the classic design may not be for everyone, we think the antique furnishings gives the home a unique appeal.
