When you're sitting amidst the earthy tones and quiet calmness of the garden, you won't believe you're in the City of London. The idyllic space has a relaxed serenity that belies its central location. 

Spend cosy mornings here with a coffee, slowly waking up with the city around you. In the evenings, fire up the BBQ and gather around the cute table, sharing bites of grilled burgers and bottles of crisp wine. 

When the weather's not on your side, move into the chic style of your home. The earthy palette continues throughout the open plan living room and kitchen – light, brown shades mingle with the pure white tones on the walls and kitchen counter. 

There's even paintings of floral and natural themes – alongside a catalogue of plants –  to further the earthy energy. A sofa and straw chair present cosy places to relax, or you can perch at the breakfast bar with a selection of toast and jams. 

For more intimate dining, share snacks and a bottle of wine on the circular dining table. But, since you're so close to various pubs, bars and restaurants, you may as well sample the local joints. We suggest the pretty pubs and bars around St Katharine's Docks for good food with a picturesque view.

This former pub has been transformed into a chic homestead ideal for London getaways. Modern touches abound here – there's an egg-shaped barbecue on the private terrace, an exercise room with a Peloton, or chef-grade kitchen appliances ideal for keen cooks. One of the bedrooms is a tad snug, but we think that's a worthwhile trade, especially in such a central location. Elephant & Castle Station is less than ten minutes on foot, while sightseeing hotspots like the South Bank, Westminster, and Buckingham Palace are also within easy reach. Your host is also happy to arrange any services or extras you may need, from pre-arrival groceries to bespoke London experiences.

This modern home has a neutral and minimalistic style that will suit those who like their spaces clean and uncluttered. It’s a new building, so it’s been thoughtfully designed, with a surplus of natural light and brightness. But the star of the show here is that all-too-rare of London amenities, an outside space. We can think of nothing better than a balmy summer evening spent out in your private garden with friends or family. On top of that, you'll find a charming little balcony from the master bedroom to sip your morning coffee and ease into the day. Inside, it's a picture of pearly white furnishings, sleek surfaces and monochromatic artwork. You'll notice cream sofas, ghost chairs and a large ornate mirror in the bedrooms, creating an air of elegance around the home. Plus, there's a light and tidy study area for those looking to work from home during their stay. Outside, we really liked the home’s location – the top attractions on picturesque Bermondsey Street are just a five-minute walk away. Although the real highlight is the home's proximity to London Bridge – under twenty minutes (on foot) from The Shard and the surrounding hub, full to the brim with fine-dine restaurants and hip bars.

Live the high life at this stylish, luxury South Bank home located on the fourth to sixth floors. A balcony overlooks the heart of Southbank, while on the top floor, our favourite place, you'll find a studio space and gorgeous roof terrace – the perfect spot for an alfresco lunch and a glass of Champagne.

Inside is light and bright, with wooden floors and whitewashed walls. Relax on one of the grey sofas and take in the vistas over the city. This abode is perfect for business professionals, friends or a family.

Out and about, this area has a fantastic cultural scene. Walk to the BFI film theatre, the Southbank Centre and the National Theatre in fifteen minutes or dine at one of the Thames-side restaurants. It's around twelve minutes on foot to Borough Market, one of the largest and oldest food markets in London. Or, for a bird's eye view of the capital, head to the London Eye, a twenty-minute saunter from this fabulous home.

It's also more than just a home and will feel like a restorative sanctuary thanks to the bespoke optional services that are available – from beauty therapy, vitamin infusion with a Harley Street doctor and even Chinese acupuncture. You're well-connected to wider London, with London Bridge station and the bustling Borough Market on your doorstep.

This stylish, couple's hideaway, housed in a Victorian warehouse, in a cobbled courtyard in Central London, is just over a five-minute walk from The Shard. For artisan produce, head to one of the city's largest and oldest food markets, Borough Market, a four-minute wander. If you love art, the Tate Modern is ten minutes on foot, while one of London's most iconic landmarks, Tower Bridge, is under a twenty-minute saunter. Of course, there are plenty of restaurants and chic bars on your doorstep in this desirable location – there's even a historic wine bar one-minute away. You don't have to go anywhere, though, to admire Britain's tallest building – The Shard is thrillingly visible from your bedroom window. We love the designer furniture here, from the Isamu Noguchi coffee table and Eames chairs to the Italian suede sofa – all shown off to perfection by the walnut floors and exposed brick walls. Pour a glass of Champagne and survey the city from the Juliet balcony, then whip up some dinner in the sleek kitchen. We were surprised how tranquil this sunny home is, given its fabulous location – it’s a quiet haven after all that sightseeing.

With its eclectic interiors, impressive views and central location, this apartment appeals on so many fronts. Starting outside, you'll find yourself in the epicentre of London's iconic sights, with a bevvy of quintessential pubs and high-end restaurants around you, we'd be spoilt for choice come dinner time. For daytime touristy trips, take just a ten-minute walk to Tower Bridge and be at St. Paul's Cathedral in eighteen minutes by tube. With so much to see and do, you'll need a cosy place to retreat to after wandering the city. Fortunately, we really love the modern playfulness and vibrancy of this industrial-chic apartment. Stepping in to look around the decor, you'll notice colourful wallpapers, neon lights and tasteful adornments – it's clear your host has a keen eye for detail. Reflecting the area's industrial edge, the living space is cleverly designed across two levels with sleek glass bannisters, light wood and high ceilings. If you're working from home during your stay, we could think of no better place for powering through than the super-stylish and clutter-free office space. Those after a gentler start will find the cosy corner to be perfectly suited for morning coffee and catching up on literature. Last but not least, the home boasts an incredible view of The Shard that's too good to miss.

Fall in love with this former warehouse, promising views of Borough Market and the Shard while you dine alfresco. Though the main bedroom wows us, some may wish to step around the glass panels on the floor. Plus, guests staying in bedrooms two and three might bump into each other in their shared en-suite. Dotted with accents reminiscent of its Victorian heritage, you'll find two living areas here – ideal for extended families. Restaurants and attractions are a stone's throw away, and London Bridge station can take you further afield.

The Curator's Gallery

Modern and bright, this apartment is close to several restaurants and cafes. But the proximity to some of London's most iconic sights is what makes it feel special, including Borough Market, the Tate Modern, and Tower Bridge. Though it's still roomy enough for six, we think this works best for a small family or two couples. If you do choose to sleep two additional guests on the sofa bed, you can always find extra breathing room on the terrace. It overlooks neighbours and isn't the most private, but it is a nice bonus – especially in central London.

This unique, self-built home in Brockley starts to put on a show the moment guests walk down the quiet mews street on which it hides away. The striking rust-coloured and geometric exterior embraces industrial-chic trends, but it gives no indication of the sophisticated interior that lies behind the front door. Step inside and you'll find a magazine-worthy home where natural light is allowed to pour in through the glass doors and skylights, and colourful pieces of original artwork arranged tastefully about the place grab your attention. The furnishings are mainly mid-century and Scandinavian in inspiration, while the surfaces on the black kitchen are as sleek as they come. One of our favourite parts has to be the outside terrace, though, where a landscape gardener has packed plant beds full of native New Zealand plants and brings a touch of wilderness to this corner of South London. As only feels appropriate for this stylish home, it's located in and close to some of London's trendiest neighbourhoods, nestled in the trifecta of Lewisham, New Cross and Peckham.

This has got to be one of the most amazing views in London. Moored near Tower Bridge on the Thames’ south bank, this stunning home is the former 'HMS Harpy’. Once an Edwardian base for customs and excise officers, and a landing stage for King George V, it’s now a unique and beautifully maintained floating home. The oldest and one of the largest homes on the river, The Harpy is unlike purpose-built houseboats – all the cabins are above water level with river views. History fans and nautical nuts will have plenty to get their teeth into, those interested in luxury river living will appreciate the opportunity to sit out on deck, and if vintage furniture is your thing you'll be able to explore pieces from the 1920s, '30s, and '50s. The dining table was even designed for Winston Churchill's home, Chartwell. We love the vast living space on the upper deck – it's bright, comfortable, and full of character. Bedrooms and bathrooms are nostalgic and the kitchen is well fitted out for cooking onboard. There's mains electricity, obviously, as well as mains gas for heating and cooking, and filtered mains water. All the mod cons are present too, from Wifi and Sky Q TV to gate entry phones and Sonos. So well-known that it's been featured in several movies (most notably A Fish Called Wanda), a stay here is an all-round incredible experience and one you'll be talking about for years to come.
