We were bowled over by this apartment's location, just over a fifteen-minute walk from The Oval cricket ground. It has been the home of Surrey County Cricket Club since it was opened in 1845 and is a regular venue for test match cricket. 

If you're stumped for other places to go in the area, then head to Beaconsfield Contemporary Art (seven minutes on foot) – there's a lovely vegan café here too. Or one of London's best-loved attractions, the London Eye, is under a thirty-minute walk. History lovers, on the other hand, can visit the Imperial War Museum, a twelve-minute stroll away. It's the same walking distance to the Beefeater Gin Distillery, where you can take a tour or stop off at one of the many restaurants on the doorstep of this belter of a home. 

Relax on the sunny balcony with a drink in hand – we were hit for six when we saw the vistas over the capital's skyline. The living space is light and bright, thanks to its large patio doors, allowing light to flood in. After all that exploring, have a soak in the bath and then relax on the comfy sofa. This place is the perfect pad for a couple or solo traveller looking to take advantage of all that London has to offer.

There's a real industrial vibe here with smart exposed brickwork, steel countertop surfaces and exposed cabling. The open-plan living area, with floor to ceiling windows, a large dining table, and 65" TV is made for socialising and conversing. Come the summer months the shared outdoor area, with its barbecue and plentiful seating, is a special space to be together as a group. The bedrooms lack a little pop without much artwork, but apart from that, with their blackout blinds, they do the job.

We love the tube-inspired artwork decking the walls, and the large kitchen area that has everything from an espresso machine to a cast-iron juice press to make whipping up meals a cinch. The bedroom at the back of the home, meanwhile, is a serene space that leads out onto a private patio garden. Enjoy your morning coffee here while catching some early rays, or retreat to this peaceful spot for sundowners to finish the day on a high. Outside of your home, you’re only a thirteen-minute stroll from leafy Kennington Park, a twenty-eight-minute walk from both the London Eye and Westminster Abbey, while the Tate Britain is just across the river, fifteen minutes away on foot.

Spend the rest of the time picnicking in Kennington Park, visiting the coffee and book shop a ten-minute walk away, and strolling along the banks of the Thames before finding a restaurant to have dinner at. Come back to enjoy a drink at the bar before heading up to your room for a peaceful night’s sleep.

Five minutes from Vauxhall Station and boasting views of the Thames, this apartment is well-connected for sightseeing. Stroll along the river to Big Ben, Tate Britain, and the London Eye. Don't fancy a walk? Explore by boat and hop on the nearby Thames Clipper instead. With a slew of eateries and shops in the area, you'll also have plenty to do locally. Our favourite feature is the balcony – it's the best spot to admire the scenery and enjoy an evening tipple. The living space is bright and stylishly modern, while the duo of bedrooms have a good night's sleep covered. We think it's a convenient and contemporary base in a central location.

This comfortable, modern apartment is in an attractive development in Nine Elms, close to The Oval and Battersea Park. Pimlico is just across the river, and there are great transport links to the rest of London. The apartment is simple yet stylish, with an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space. The kitchen is sleek and well-equipped, so cooking at home is a breeze – though you’ll have plenty of restaurants, pubs, and cafes nearby if you don’t fancy cooking. The bedroom is cosy and attractive, with large windows that bring in plenty of light.
