You'll find this apartment in the heart of Marylebone, just a ten-minute walk from Regent's Park. As far as locations go, you can't beat it. The village-like high street is lined with cafes, shops, and eateries, or you can hop on a train at Baker Street Station to explore further afield. After your adventures, you'll have everything you need to relax at home – from a sleek kitchen to cosy bedrooms. The living area isn't the biggest, so all six guests may find it a squeeze. There's also a sofa bed for two people, but we think it'd be more comfortable for one.

Nestled between Chelsea and Kensington, this bright apartment is a great base for London adventures. Whether you want to browse prestigious museums, grab dinner at a gourmet restaurant, or venture across the city, this home is close to all you'll need. Design-wise, the interiors are cosy and bathed in sunlight. Though on the simpler side, it's certainly comfortable. Plus, with a large kitchen and two amply-sized bedrooms, you won't be short on space. Just note it's on the first floor and the building doesn't have a lift.

It's a great find for business travellers, though families and friend groups will also feel right at home. Keep in mind that the living space is on the smaller side, and it's on the third floor of a building without a lift. Even so, given the location – a five-minute walk from Paddington Station and twenty minutes from Hyde Park – we think that's a fair compromise.

People can often be daunted when it comes to incorporating colour into interior design, but this Notting Hill apartment shows how it can be done without going over the top.

The mustard and green furnishings in the living room are instantly uplifting and go nicely with the weathered wood of the coffee table. The addition of two arched window mirrors helps accentuate the plentiful amount of natural light that comes in through the large windows. Elsewhere, the kitchen in a deep shade of green has plenty of sleek surface space for preparing home-cooked dinners, while the bathrooms play it comparatively safer with the dazzlingly white tiles.

The fact that we've got this far without mentioning the home's incredible location is a testament to the quality of the interior. The bottom of Portobello Road can be reached in ten minutes' walk, as can Holland Park and Kensington Gardens.

A beautiful Bayswater sanctuary (just steps away from Hyde Park), it’s one of those places that you look forward to coming home to at the end of a long day of sightseeing. We can’t get over all the period features – the picture-perfect crown moulding and the charming windows being our favourite parts. On top of that, Jane is also a wonderful host, who’s put a lot of care into designing a seamless space filled with a welcoming atmosphere.

This London home is all about location, location, location. Tucked away on a quiet mews, just off the iconic Portobello Road, you’re at the heart of fashionable Notting Hill. Needless to say, you’ll have shops and restaurants aplenty on the doorstep, and for reaching the capital’s must-sees, Ladbroke Grove Tube station is a five-minute walk away. With two kitchens, the home is a great option for a group or two families, as you can have a bit of space to yourselves if you need it. At full occupancy, guests seven and eight will be sleeping on the day bed in the small downstairs living/kitchen area, but with the larger living/kitchen/dining area upstairs, this needn’t be a deal-breaker.
