Located just outside of the city centre, this urban neighbourhood is rich with green spaces and has plenty of local shops to visit. You’re also just a short drive from the city centre – in case you’re in town for business – and a mere half an hour from the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth. The Yorkshire Dales and its excellent walking trails are a similar distance. This home also has free on-street parking, making it super easy to head out for a day of adventures. Able to accommodate up to five guests, a few friends or a family will be well looked after here. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped and there’s a nice lounge with soft sofas that you can sink into after a busy day.

Set in a tiny hamlet above bohemian Hebden Bridge, the location of this home is everything.  Thick with artists, crafters, beekeepers, and people who like to do things a bit differently, HB must be one of the most unique villages in England. That quirky, independent spirit carries through into this cottage, with its eclectic mix of furnishings. Think classical with touches of the Middle East, craft crockery and striking wall art. The tree-filled garden is just the place for a morning chai latte, before browsing Hebden Bridge’s independent boutiques, watching an art-house film at the 1920s Picture House, or making a literary pilgrimage to Sylvia Plath’s grave in the ruined churchyard across the road. If you’d like an outdoorsy interlude from all that arts and culture, the surrounding countryside is prime territory for hiking. Come back to your small but perfectly formed base for an evening of love, laughter and stories around the firepit.

We're pretty sure that you won't find many cottages cuter than this. Built at the backend of the eighteenth century, this traditional weaver's house is Grade-II listed and you can see why. Inside, the wooden ceiling beams, exposed brickwork and stable door are full of rustic charm, while a log-burning fire and antique furnishings add an extra level of cosiness. To the side of the home, there's a patio area complete with alfresco seating where you can enjoy a coffee and the surrounding tranquillity of West Yorkshire. Fans of Last of the Summer Wine — one of the longest-running sitcoms in the world — will love walking around the local town of Holmfirth where it was filmed. The Peak District is only a ten-minute drive away too if you're in the mood for a long ramble.

A ten-minute drive sees you in the confines of the Peak District – the UK’s oldest National Park – where walking trails weave across the landscape atop hills and past waterfalls. Ten minutes in the other direction, you’ll find the quaint town of Holmfirth to stock up on groceries and visit the local pubs and cafés. There’s a local pub and bakery a fifteen-minute stroll into the hamlet of Hepworth too.

After a day trekking in the Peaks, this is the perfect spot to put your feet up. Unlace your hiking boots and warm your toes by the wood-burning stove in the living room. ‘Cosy’ is the watchword here, with old wooden gables on display and thick stone walls keeping things warm once the stove gets going. There’s a little selection of holiday reads for evenings by the fire and a full kitchen for meals at home. In the sunny summer months, make use of the patio, furnished with a bistro table for two.
