As the name the suggests, this beautifully converted home used to be a dairy, or to be more accurate, a former cheese press. Fully modernised with reclaimed timber floors and underfloor heating throughout, it's now a cosy and comfortable retreat. French doors lead from the sitting room to a flower-filled private garden where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun go down. As an added bonus, you can pre-order delicious meals from your host during your stay. With plenty of walks and pubs close by, it’s the perfect base for exploring the unspoilt countryside – Bredon Hill and the Malvern Hills are especially lovely. A little further afield are the popular destinations of Stratford-upon-Avon and Cheltenham, both under an hour’s drive away.

Beautiful bi-fold doors provide plenty of light inside this single-level barn, which was once a grain store. We love the gorgeous stone floor and exposed wooden roof beams framing the high ceiling. A fresh colour scheme of pale cream, yellows and greys complement the rustic yet stylish design. If you can tear yourself away from this love nest, there's plenty to explore. Go for a walk to the historic riverside village of Bidford-on-Avon, sixteen minutes on foot, where you'll find an array of charming pubs, restaurants, shops, and a picturesque church built in 1250. Or visit Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon, around a twenty-five-minute drive, while stunning Warwick Castle is a few minutes more in the car. The magnificent Cotswolds are on your doorstep too – Hidcote Manor Garden, near Chipping Campden, just over a fifteen-minute ride, which has one of Britain's most influential Arts and Crafts gardens.

Your hosts have worked tirelessly to deliver interiors that feel both modern and historically charming at once – the greatest example of which being the upstairs bedrooms. Both are tucked under beams and eaves but still maintain an atmosphere of luxury through high-quality bedding and furniture. Start your day by tucking into breakfast in the bright conservatory before heading off to explore nearby villages – picturesque Chipping Campden is a twelve-minute drive away, while Bourton-on-the-Water is half an hour away. If cooking during your country break is not on the cards, the Fleece Inn is steps away and serves traditional English favourites, or you could arrange a private chef through your hosts. Then, at the end of a long day, return home to enjoy a quiet night in by the TV or watch the sun go down from the cushioned window seat.

It's a crowd-pleaser inside and out. The cottage itself couldn't get much cosier, with a bucolic atmosphere from the moment you step foot into the home. Chuck a log on the fire, settle into the rosy-red sofa with a good book and enjoy a moment's rest and relaxation beneath the striking wooden beams. We love how the stone flooring and original features are softened by the floral decor,  antique rugs and old china filled cabinets that will have you feeling all warm and comfy from the get-go. It's a sociable open-plan living space with plenty of seating for the entire group. Bring the family together for a feast in the grand dining room with punchy-red walls and a lovely wooden table that's fit for any occasion. Through to the bedrooms, where the converted hayloft is the real highlight – this fantastic use of space means the children can bunk in together. If you can ever peel yourself away from this idyllic setting, the nearest town of Tewkesbury and its charming Abbey is less than a fifteen-minute drive away, while Cheltenham's Pittville Park (only 8 miles away) makes for a great group day out.

Escape the city in style at this palatial farmhouse, nestled within the Malvern Hills and yet just a ten-minute drive from historic Worcester. 

This 300-year-old abode makes quite the first impression as you roll into its impressive private driveway. And things only get better inside. Spread out over three storeys, with bedrooms generously spaced apart across two floors - there's heaps of space to spill out here. 

Mornings call for freshly brewed coffees on the vast sunny veranda while kids and furry friends run amuck on the lawns - there's an acre of land to explore. Then sit back in the hot tub and soak up the countryside vistas for a while (the sightseeing can wait), as horses and sheep trot on by.

In the evening, come together in the sociable living areas beside wood-burning stoves to break out the board games, while others cook up a feast on the Aga cooker. Or slope away to a cosy nook in the separate sitting room with a good book for some quiet time.

Take advantage of balmy days with a stroll through the endless countryside that surrounds your home – there are two circular walks close by, including a 5.5-mile ramble from Alderton to Dumbleton and back. Or why not jump in the car and explore the Regency town of Cheltenham? It’s only a twenty-minute drive away. What better way to end another idyllic afternoon in the Cotswolds than with some pub grub and a glass of rosé at the Gardeners’ Arms, just a five-minute stroll from your doorstep.

The kitchen has a farmhouse feel with its range-style cooker and old coach wheel displayed as a reminder of the building’s former purpose. Bedrooms and bathrooms are delightfully pastoral with floral wallpaper reminiscent of the Victorian era and darkwood antique furniture. Outside, dining can be set up at the wrought-iron table. This home is set on a 15-acre estate with a two-acre lake, tennis courts, a croquet lawn, games room, on-site pottery and a shared outdoor covered swimming pool.
