But you’ll still find plenty of modern comforts – the master bedroom features a walk-in dressing room, there's a charming Juliet balcony that opens the living room up to the treetops and there's a new log burner for staying cosy no matter the weather.

With a terrace offering up a vista of the rolling north Cotswolds, it won't be a mystery why we added this home to our collection. Previously a home for silk mill workers, we loved how homely the space is – start a roaring fire in the inglenook fireplace (made with local stone, no less) and relax after a long hike or a short stroll through the local village.
