With a stunning garden and vibrant interior, this cosy home is a great choice for those looking for a fun, relaxing getaway in Wales. Located just half a mile from the historic market town of Tregaron, you're well situated to explore the quaint villages, cliffs, beaches, and more of Cardigan Bay.

Large windows invite a lovely natural light to brighten this home beautifully. It's a cheerful place where future happy memories will come easily, whether you're chatting around the dining table with a glass of wine or watching a film with the fireplace warming you up. The kids will love it too – they have their own snug hideaway for playing games and reading books when the grown-ups are catching up.

We love the interior's vibrancy, but our favourite bit of this home is the impressive garden. The cute space has a Mediterranean feel, with a bistro table and salmon-pink walls. When you've returned home after a day of exploring the Cambrian Mountains and the coves of Cardigan Bay, you'll love hopping straight into the bubbling hot tub to soothe those muscles after a day on your feet. Surrounded by lush greenery and vast fields, it's pure bliss. Then, when it's time for dinner, will it be a fresh pizza from the log-fired pizza oven, grilled meats and vegetables from the barbecue, or both?

Wild and wonderful, this honey-coloured homestead on the edge of St Dogmaels is as charming as it looks. Inside, you'll find rustic living spaces that exude warmth – it'll be hard to resist a Netflix movie night curled up in front of the roaring log burner – and we appreciate how interior bi-fold doors give you full control over the size of the living space. Home chefs can let loose in the kitchen, rustling up freshly-baked cakes and mouthwatering Sunday roasts to share around the eight-seater table. Upstairs, a soak in the lavish free-standing bathtub before bedtime is just the ticket after a long day.

Speaking of, we can't help but swoon over the verdant, lush landscape that awaits you outside. Listen to the babbling stream as you share a pitcher of Pimm's or gather around the fire pit on hazy summer evenings. It's not just grown-ups who will adore this home. Kids can while away afternoons in the loft playroom, play pretend in the treehouse, follow the fairy trail and bounce on the trampoline. The village is just a short walk away, home to an award-winning farmer's market, historic abbey and the River Teifi. It's the perfect place to switch off and soak in the beauty of the great outdoors, with the vast Snowdonia National Park on your doorstep. 

This quaint cottage is as beautiful inside as it is on the outside, a mix of stucco walls and traditional stone brick. We love the cosy living room, with wood-beamed ceilings, a stone brick wall, and a crackling wood-burning fireplace. It's warm and inviting – the ideal place for relaxing and watching the TV after a day on your feet. It might be a traditional cottage, but the kitchen is sleek, contemporary, and big enough for everyone to pitch in to help prepare meals. While there's something comforting and familial about preparing meals together and then eating around the kitchen table, we imagine you'll also love the outdoor dining table. 

The garden is surrounded by luscious, beautiful greenery, where you can spend lazy mornings tucking into a continental breakfast out in the fresh air, enjoying the comforting sounds of the chirping birds and the babbles of the stream. When you're energised after a hearty breakfast, the historic market town of Machynlleth is just a twelve-minute drive away. There are endless walking trails around here, or simply explore the town's art galleries, quaint shops, cafes, pubs, museums, and more. It's the perfect spot to savour a glass of wine and people-watch, but with the art galleries, restaurants and the sea on your doorstep, you'll surely be tempted out. On rainy days, curl up with a book on the squishy sofas, play a board game or two, or just snooze the afternoon away in the two comfortable bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you'll need to rustle up delicious dinners, and there are plenty of shops nearby to stock up on ingredients and fresh seafood. Aberdovey is a small seaside village on the harbour, but there's plenty nearby to keep you entertained – be it crabbing on the jetty, sea rowing at the rowing club or nibbling on fish and chips at a beachside picnic. But for more action-packed adventures, hike the picturesque Wales Coast Path or roam the nature reserves in Snowdonia National Park – the ancient woodland in Ceunant Llennyrch National Nature Reserve is an hour's drive.

Perched on the banks of the Teifi estuary, this renovated former sea captain's villa in southwest Wales treats guests to some spectacular waterside views. On sunny days, these can be enjoyed on the large terrace, whether that's reclining in one of the loungers, lying in the hammock or sitting around the alfresco dining area, waiting for dinner to be served off the barbecue or out of the pizza oven. However, the sparkly panorama can just as easily be appreciated from the huge windows in the open-concept kitchen-dining area or from the bedrooms. When you can prise your eyes away from the beautiful scene outside, you'll find a modern interior that integrates rustic aspects, such as exposed brickwork and a wood-burning fireplace, seamlessly. It's the sort of place you'll look forward to returning on the return leg of a long walk. If you're in need of inspiration, all you have to do is follow the Teifi — half an hour's walk west will get you to Poppit Sands Beach, while the same amount of time in the opposite direction will take you to the town of Cardigan.

There were plenty of reasons why this penthouse apartment made it into our collection, but let's start with the most obvious. When guests step out onto the ornate white balcony, they're greeted with stunning views over the Dyfi Estuary and Cardigan Bay, stretching all the way down the Ceredigion Coastline. As is often the case with coastal locations, there's just so much sky and this uninterrupted panorama brings the added benefit of meaning the interior is flooded with natural light through the windows and skylights. This is emphasised pleasingly by the stark white walls and it makes for a wonderfully bright space to sprawl out on the tan leather sofa. As you can probably tell from looking out the window, Aberdyfi Beach sits just across the street and there are cafes and pubs along the seafront for when you fancy a refreshment. Slightly further afield, there are opportunities for birdwatching in RSPB Ynys-hir and Dyfi Osprey Project, both taking around half an hour to reach in the car.

The Bells of Aberdyfi

Nestled at the edge of the dramatic Cambrian Mountain range, this home is a fantastic base for guests hoping for some adventure. Start the day with a hearty breakfast beside the giant windows and gaze out over the luscious countryside as you plan your itinerary. Keep your eyes peeled and you could spot a red kite – the area is famous for birds of prey. The Brecon Beacons National Park is close by, with cycling and hiking opportunities for all levels of experience. You’re also within driving distance of Cardigan Bay, which is known for its population of bottlenose dolphins – watch them from dry land or hop on one of the boat trips for a closer look. After a busy day out you can return home to a roaring wood burning stove and some tasty Welsh cakes or a glass of wine provided by your host.
