Only a short distance from the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast, this charming cottage is the ideal destination for anyone looking to try windsurfing at Broad Haven, diving at Little Haven, or surfing in Newgales. But for those of us who feel a little more at ease on dry land, well, you can head to the Mayfield Golf Centre not even ten minutes away by car, or see the exquisite vistas of the area by walking along the coastal paths.

Enjoy a spot of shopping in Haverfordwest – a lovely twenty-five minute walk, or five minutes by car if you’re in a hurry – and sit down to enjoy lunch at one of the local pubs. There’s also a town museum if you’re interested in learning of the county's roots. 

After a long day on your feet you can retreat to this little stone cottage where you’ll be met by a neutral colour palette that benefits from the skylights in the vaulted ceiling. Some of the original features, especially visible in the facade, remain from its days as a traditional stone barn. Expect exposed brick and beam, modernised by the sleek kitchenette and cushy furnishishings.

Finish the afternoon with a stroll around the tiny city centre – St Davids Cathedral and the brooding Gothic ruins of the Bishop’s Palace are only a three-minute walk from your doorstep.

We think it's the perfect spot to lounge with a cup of tea or a refreshing G&T as the day draws to a close. 

Newport is a pretty market town on the north coast of Pembrokeshire, situated at the foot of Carnigli Mountain and the Preseli Hills. There's an array of eateries, including small cafes and old-fashioned pubs, within walking distance, as well as independent shops and galleries. Newport Beach isn't far – about a half-hour stroll along the coastal path – while historic sites like Pentre Ifan, Castell Henllys Iron Age Village and Nevern Castle are less than ten minutes by car.

Only a two-minute walk from the award-winning South Beach, this home is primely located for a visit to Tenby. Offering spectacular views of South Beach all the way towards Caldey Island, this luxury apartment has an open-plan living area at its heart. Although this Pembrokeshire apartment underwent a recent renovation, one thing that hasn't changed is just how peaceful the view from the balcony is, with the unmistakably blue waters of Carmarthen Bay peering through the trees. It may not be the biggest outdoor space in the world, but this seaward orientation makes up for it.

Inside, the glass doors in the main living area are especially generous when it comes to natural light and this dances pleasingly off the wooden floors and white walls. When it comes to the design, it's a pretty simple affair with only a few pieces of coastal artwork nodding to the location, but it's all been executed pretty well, particularly the sleek kitchen and bathroom.

When it comes to seeing a little more of the local area, the centre of Saundersfoot and its beach is all of five mintues' walk from the front door. The town of Tenby is also only ten minutes' drive down the coastline and offers visitors a castle and a selection of galleries to visit.

When the sun shines, make a beeline for the placid waters of Castle Beach and explore Tenby Museum and Art Gallery, the oldest of its kind in Wales. If you’d prefer to expend a little more energy, it’s an hour’s amble to Saundersfoot.

Open-plan living space makes for a sociable layout and there's a lovely new log burner with a leather armchair just made for reading in. While the summer months mean you get the best use of the little private garden – a perfect spot for a barbecue. 

Bring your bikes or your hiking boots for adventures in the hills, or drive just five minutes to Llys-y-Fran Lake, with its water sports, cafe and cycling routes. And you can drive to Pembrokeshire's coast in around half an hour, giving easy access to places like Fishguard, Solva and Broad Haven.

Enjoy light lunches outside at the bench or roll out a blanket and picnic by the pond. If it gets to be a little chilly out, head back inside to dine around the farmhouse-style table.

Make yourself comfortable in the sitting room with a cup of tea and plan your afternoon itinerary. You’re a fifteen-minute drive from Llys-y-Frân, with its activity centre, bike trails and reservoir for open water swimming. Or stay local and take to the walking paths that lead directly from your front door – keep an eye out for Red kites as you wind your way through the valleys. From your abode, it’s a thirty-minute drive to the coast, and fifteen to the town of Narbeth but most importantly, it’s less than ten minutes to the pub.
