The beach is a mere four-minute walk away from your front door, where you can frolic on the sand and paddle in the waves. Watch the boats bobbing in the harbour, and don't forget to savour some of the locally caught seafood. The town of Tenby is just two miles away, and if you've brought a car then we highly recommend exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast – the landscapes are simply stunning.

Sitting just a short walk from the heart of Saundersfoot, this handsome apartment is just the ticket for a family or group of friends looking to make the most out of this corner of the beautiful Pembrokeshire.

Dressed in calming neutral shades and comfy, contemporary decor, you’ll have no trouble making yourself at home here, whether that’s snuggled up on the sofa with a blanket and a mug of tea or gathered around the dining table for a homecooked feast when you’re not out sampling the local seafood eateries. 

The two bedrooms are just as inviting with their brightly coloured accents and tiled bathrooms – one of which is an en-suite – while the building’s communal terrace beckons sunny morning coffees and celebratory sundowners when the weather is balmy.

Outside of your home, Saundersfoot Beach is easily reachable on foot, as are the harbour and Saundersfoot Lighthouse, not to mention a plethora of restaurants and shops.

Discover the beauty of the South Pembrokeshire from this stunning beachfront base, situated in the small seaside resort of Saundersfoot. More compact than nearby Tenby, which lies a few miles to the south, the place has a unique charm all of its own.

South-facing sea views grab all the headlines here, with large windows in the open layout living area/kitchen, plus direct access to a private balcony ensuring you can make the most of the unparalleled location. 

The interior decor is no less eye-catching, with mid-century style leather seating, a wood burner set into the wall, plus a subtle maritime theme, with hints of blue and wood cladding that reminded us of the side of a beach hut.

Sharing the open-plan space is the kitchen, with the sink set up so you can look out at the waves as you wash up the bits and pieces that won't fit in the dishwasher. Rather sensibly, the hob and oven face the opposite way, to minimise distractions. With dinner ready, it's down to you to plate up and grab a seat at the rustic yet elegant dining table.

Elsewhere, the two bedrooms keep up with the nods to the nautical setting, with striped wallpaper and sea-themed artwork adorning the walls.

In addition to the expansive beach, the old tramway route that connected the coal port to mines at Stepsaside survives as a spectacular section of the picturesque Pembrokeshire Coast Path. It's 186 miles long in total, but we'd recommend dipping in and out to walk along particularly panoramic parts.

Those who prefer their outdoor activities more action-packed will find some of Pembrokeshire's finest surf spots within a twenty-mile drive. A particular standout is Freshwater West, which is hailed by many as the most reliable break in the land of dragons and daffodils.



Stroll Along the Strand

Although this Pembrokeshire apartment underwent a recent renovation, one thing that hasn't changed is just how peaceful the view from the balcony is, with the unmistakably blue waters of Carmarthen Bay peering through the trees. It may not be the biggest outdoor space in the world, but this seaward orientation makes up for it.

Inside, the glass doors in the main living area are especially generous when it comes to natural light and this dances pleasingly off the wooden floors and white walls. When it comes to the design, it's a pretty simple affair with only a few pieces of coastal artwork nodding to the location, but it's all been executed pretty well, particularly the sleek kitchen and bathroom.

When it comes to seeing a little more of the local area, the centre of Saundersfoot and its beach is all of five mintues' walk from the front door. The town of Tenby is also only ten minutes' drive down the coastline and offers visitors a castle and a selection of galleries to visit.

Sometimes it's the simple things in life – soaking in a hot tub with a glass of bubbly, snuggling up by a log burner with a good book and enjoying alfresco dinners while the sun sets over the nearby village. This cosy cottage in Saundersfoot promises a taste of that country life, and quite frankly, we can't get enough of it. From the AGA-style stove to the exposed stone walls, it radiates warmth and classic rustic style. There's plenty of room here to make yourself at home – including a separate den fit for the kids, complete with an Xbox for rare rainy days. Out on the deck, you can bask in the scenery while firing up the barbecue, watching the four-legged family members let off steam in the enclosed garden. Better yet, take the dogs for a walk along the sea – Saundersfoot Beach is just a ten-minute stroll away. Brimming with seaside charm and awash with cute cafes, traditional pubs and delicious restaurants, Saundersfoot is a gem in Pembrokeshire's crown. Grab an ice cream cone and sprawl out on the sand or try your hand at crabbing along the harbour walls. Tenby's sprawling beaches are also ten minutes away by car – safe to say, this is an excellent spot for an escape to the coast.

The larger town of Tenby is a ten-minute drive away, and the spectacular landscapes of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park are yours to discover on foot, on a bike, or even on horseback. With so much to see and do, you're truly spoilt for choice in this fabulous corner of Wales.
