Just like a sun-kissed face of freckles, this home with its patchwork of stones charms from its place among the untamed, native foliage. The trees not only add a beautiful touch of green, but it creates a welcome sense of seclusion that encourages guests to fully unwind in the privacy it offers. Start by letting go of every bit of stress as you float in the perfectly blue pool, or practice meditation from your position on the sunlounger. If food is what brings you comfort, then by all means, we urge you to grill fresh fish covered in a light sprinkling of salt and touch a of herbs – we’ve heard it’s the Mediterranean way. 

There’s beauty to be found all around, so go forth and explore, but try your best to make time for Gradec Castle. Only a thirteen-minute walk away, the ruins, that can be dated back to the 1100s, still stand but are easily missed because of the thick surrounding forest, so be sure to keep a lookout. There's also a small beach in the opposite direction rumoured to be for nudists, so we'll leave you to do what you will with that information.

The first thing that grabbed our attention at this typically Croatian villa was the swimming pool. Fed by waterfall and with a grotto-like shaded area, it sits pride of place in the backyard. Dine by the poolside on the loggia-style patio, perfect for a rustic lunch from the grill. Inside, the bright and open living room shows off exposed stone walls like the farmhouses of old and quirky mid-century furniture provides pops of holiday-bright colour. Enjoy a quiet night in charming bedrooms with traditional wooden ceilings and honey-hued stone walls on display.

In terms of location, you’re 600 metres from the centre of Garica hamlet, where a couple of supermarkets are within walking distance. For days at the beach or to explore Croatia’s ancient town centres, head to the coastal towns of Vrbnik (excellent for diving) a ten-minute drive away, and Krk, a fifteen-minute drive away.

This is a charming and tastefully furnished single-family house located in the peaceful countryside, just 6.5 km from Vrbnik and 6.3 km from the sea. The house features a private angular swimming pool (seasonal availability: 15.Mar. - 15.Nov.) with an outdoor shower, perfect for enjoying the warm weather. The property has a large garden measuring 600 m2 and parking space for up to three cars. Inside, this home offers comfortable accommodation for up to six adults and two children across three bedrooms and two floors. The house includes all modern amenities such as internet access, satellite TV, air conditioning, and a washing machine. Guests can enjoy outdoor dining on the terrace or balcony with barbecue facilities available. Please note that this is a non-smoking house and groups of teenagers are allowed only on request.

With restaurants and shops within walking distance but feeling for all the world as though you're in a rural spot, it's a great choice if you're hoping to explore the island of Krk and its stunning coastline.

Here, surrounded by the song of crickets, you'll be able to sit outside in your private garden and just relax. There's a pool with a fun waterfall feature, a trampoline for the kids and outdoor table tennis. With a well-kitted-out kitchen inside and a barbecue, you can choose to eat indoors at the table or outside on the covered terrace. Ideally suited to active families, it's around a fifteen-minute walk to the pretty clifftop village and the nearest pebble beach on the beautiful Adriatic.

There's nothing quite like a sea view, and this laid-back villa has scenery in spades. Perched on a cliff above the Adriatic, you can relax and enjoy the panoramas from either the sunny terrace, private pool, or main bedroom's balcony. While the modest interiors aren't as show-stopping – the kitchen is rather tiny, truth be told – we still think it makes for a lovely getaway for families and friends. It's also in a great location. A two-minute stroll lies a pebbled beach (although you'll need to climb down the cliffside path to reach it) and Vrbnik's shops and restaurants are about 300 metres away.
