As soon as we laid eyes on the hallway draped with pretty grapes vines and a peaceful water feature wall, we knew this place was going to be good. Situated on artsy Neve Tzedek's busiest street, Molkho, it's a stone's throw away from quirky cafe's, fantastic restaurants and bohemian boutiques. We particularly loved the immaculate parquet flooring, the brilliantly bright living room and the luxurious double bed. And, although it doesn't have a dining table, the balcony features a sweet little seating area.

This apartment caught our eye for its central location, just a five-minute stroll from the heart of Neve Tzedek. You’ll find an array of boutiques and coffee shops in the neighbourhood, and within ten minutes you could be browsing Carmel market, hitting the beach, or exploring Jaffa Port. The home itself centres around an open-plan living area with the bedroom on a mezzanine level – while it sleeps three, we think it’s best suited to a couple or solo traveller. The kitchen isn’t huge but with Rothschild Boulevard a ten-minute walk away, there are plenty of options for eating out.

Delve into local history and culture from this beautiful one-bedroom apartment in Jaffa. The en-suite bathroom is separated from the bed by a wall of glass – it's modern and chic, despite the lack of privacy. You'll find a lovely private balcony here, with space to sit out and enjoy an evening drink or an alfresco lunch. The views are only of the street and the location of this home means there is the potential for some outside noise, but you'll be within walking distance of Tel Aviv's restaurants, flea market, and golden sandy beaches.

Are you looking for a characterful home in the quiet quarter of Neve Tzedek – Tel Aviv’s oldest neighbourhood? Of course, you are. While this newly-built apartment may not have the heritage of the history-rich neighbouring streets, the quaint outdoor terrace is a nice touch, as is the spiral staircase leading up to a pared-back, crisp-white bedroom. If there are four of you sharing, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed, which might not suit everyone. And while the kitchen has an all-important coffee machine to kickstart your day, it may feel compact for some. But we’ll forgive that for its unbeatable location – you're just a few minutes flip-flop from the beach.

It would be remiss to talk about this home and not mention the roof terrace first. With panoramic views of Tel Aviv, an inviting hot tub and a dining table for moonlight suppers, there’s nowhere else we’d rather spend Israel’s balmy summer evenings. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a spacious balcony – it was our favourite spot for morning coffees and light, late lunches. Inside, hints of industrial design are softened by mid-century modern furnishings. You’ll find a kitchen fully equipped for putting together mezze platters and minimalist bedrooms that are a pleasure to retreat to after an afternoon spent weaving through bustling souks. Your Old Jaffa neighbourhood is hip, artsy and packed with history. Ancient ruins provide a mystical backdrop to the electric bars, restaurants and burgeoning art galleries that cluster around the port – a fifteen-minute walk away. Plus, you’re only ten minutes from the Ilana Goor Museum and five from the prominent Jaffa Clock Tower.

Even though Equilibrium is on the garden level, it feels like it could be a loft in Brooklyn. The host, Gil, is an architect, and he designed the place himself, from what used to be a garage. It still has a very industrial feel to it – if you’re after kitsch cosiness, you won’t find it here – and we love the unusual touches that come with that (the kitchen swing is a particular highlight). There aren’t any doors to the bedrooms, which won’t be for everyone, but we think that adds to the character, as does the plant-filled terrace.

With three bedrooms and a huge terrace, Raspberry Swirl is a great choice for a group or family looking to explore Tel Aviv. It’s not easy to define this home’s style, but it’s a fun home with new discoveries hiding around every corner – hot pink walls, Oriental-inspired touches, industrial steel-frame windows, you name it. Right next to Neve Tzedek, you’re in a great location where you can easily explore one of the city’s most charming neighbourhoods by foot.

Brimming with knick-knacks, turquoise splashes of colour, and eye-catching art, it’s easy to see that Ruthi and Am have put a lot of effort and love into designing this home.

Perfect for a family, Pillar Box Red is a calm escape in Neve Tzedek. There’s no doubt that the living room is the heart of the home – it’s incredibly stylish with its many quirky souvenirs and colourful accents, and it also sets the scene for cosy nights-in. The Starfish has the most incredible high ceilings. It’s the kind that are actually pretty difficult to capture in photos – we think they need to be experienced in real life. Location-wise, it almost doesn’t get any better than this. You’re a short walk from historic Old Jaffa and its world-famous flea market – and Alma Beach is just across the road for all the people who crave some sea and sun.

Set in a renovated building from the 1920s with incredibly high ceilings (the kind that’s hard to show in photos), Out Of The Blue is a gem. It’s located on the edge of Neve Tzedek, one of Tel Aviv’s most beloved neighbourhoods, with restaurants, boutiques and coffee shops lining the tranquil streets. It also oozes personality, which is something we always value. Stay here if you want to be within walking distance to some of the city’s most charming spots, while also living in a charming home.

The black, white and grey edges are softened with natural textures and contemporary furnishings. Minimalist furniture is functional and comfortable – the squashy quilted armchair was our particular favourite. But it’s the huge grid windows that are the real showstopper. Not only do they make a statement, but they also flood the place with natural light and allow for a gorgeous view of the outside space. The terrace, with its pretty olive tree and trailing ivy, is the perfect spot for evening drinks. There’s even a shower for washing sandy toes after a day at Charles Clore Beach, situated a quick ten-minute walk away. Spend late afternoons getting to know your charming neighbourhood, where alfresco cafes turn into intimate live jazz bars at sundown and trendy restaurants offer small plates and cutting edge cuisine. Best of all, it’s all within a ten-minute mosey from your doorstep.
