Splashes of colour throughout the apartment add vibrancy to every room – our favourite is the deep shades of blue in the living room. Relax on the balcony in the mornings with a toasty cup of coffee while tucking into a homecooked breakfast made with produce bought from the local Santo Amaro markets.

With just a short walk, you'll find yourself in the centre of Lagos with a wide variety of shops to browse. Treat yourself to a delicious slice of cake at one of the many central cafés, followed by a trip to the beach. Make sure you bring a bucket and spade if you're with children, so you can spend the afternoon building sandcastles under the sun.

Dine at Batata Beach Bar for some coastal delicacies and return home to unwind after a day of adventuring. Head up to the rooftop pool to sit on a sun lounger with a sumptuous glass of red while watching the sunset. We recommend going for a late-night swim under the stars, the perfect way to relax while making some amazing new memories.

That said, the local bus service makes hopping around the area a breeze, and if you do hire a car, further afield you’ll find a whole host of golf courses and water parks. After a busy day, back at the villa sun-drenched terraces and a private pool await, ready for you to finish the day relaxed, with a drink in hand.

A sleek kitchen provides everything you need to rustle up a delicious dinner if you fancy an evening at home, and still allows you to peek out at the ocean. 

If you’re not out exploring Lagos and its welcoming beaches where water sports are a must, you can while away the hours easily in this home. Gain some respite from the Portuguese heat and sink into your private pool, swim a few lengths and you’ll soon feel re-energised. Outside, leisurely days can be spent by the private pool (heated upon request) followed by relaxing evenings on the terrace. From here, it’s just a short drive to the nearest golf course, while restaurants, bars and shops are all within easy driving distance.

Staying in this Algarve home gives you easy access to one of the region’s most beautiful beaches (Praia dos Três Irmãos is a five-minute stroll away), along with a communal pool and neighbourhood tennis courts. There’s also a private terrace and plenty of space for relaxing inside and out. It’s worth noting that the rooms are slightly dated, but it's family-friendly and there’s an adjoining annexe with two bedrooms. From here, it’s possible to walk to the restaurants and amenities in Alvor, plus it’s also within easy reach of the nearby golf courses.

Just a stone's throw from the warm golden sands of Praia do Vau, this modern apartment is located in a closed complex with a large communal pool and lovely gardens.
