We love the terrace and patio, where you can soak up the sun, dine alfresco, and watch the world go by. There’s plenty of room for everyone to gather together inside, too, and the comfy sofa and delightful bathtub make unwinding a breeze.

So, this home has the best of both worlds with its location. It's situated in the picturesque town of Cascais with its charming streets and beaches, yet it's just a short stroll to the train station which connects to Lisbon. The beautiful old town and marina in Cascais are both a twenty-minute walk away from this studio apartment. We can see why this place was once favoured as a retreat for Portuguese royals. The imposing Palace of Cascais Citadel is now a museum and is well worth a look around. There are an array of restaurants and bars nearby too which is fortunate as this studio apartment’s kitchenette is quite basic – still, it has a mini-fridge, microwave and hob, so you can make light meals. Afterwards, relax on the private balcony with a glass of wine and take in the views over Cascais.

This apartment is located just minutes away from the historic city centre of Cascais. The home is modern and well-kept and provides a great base for small families or friends. We especially like the little balcony where you can catch the day’s first sun rays before exploring the area. The apartment is within walking distance of iconic spots like Praia da Rainha and Parque Marechal Carmona, and if you’d like to venture further afield there's also a bus stop nearby that can take you to Boca do Inferno in less than twenty minutes.

Here, it's possible to enjoy the tranquillity of this rural corner of Portugal. The golden sands of Praia do Guincho take twelve minutes to reach in the car and there are lots of walks to undertake in the nearby Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, but if you're craving the bright lights of the city again, don't fret — Lisbon is only a forty-minute drive away.
