Larousse is quite a particular home with a unique structure that's hard to find in Lisbon.  The modern minimalist furniture works well with the traditional bare bones of this typical townhouse, creating a pleasant communal area that includes a sociable kitchen. The second bedroom is located on the mezzanine and it isn't well separated from the communal area – it will only suit those who can get up the steep stairs and appreciate the open space. But you'll get to enjoy a great view and a location that will get you close to the sights and the best shops in town.

This modern studio flat perfectly suits a solo traveller or a couple wanting to explore Lisbon's vibrant culture and history. It's not the biggest, but it still has everything you need for a fuss-free stay in the capital, including a quaint kitchenette, super comfortable bed and sleek bathroom with a luxe rainfall shower. Miguel used to live in Hunter, and it’s immediately clear that the flat used to be someone’s home. Things like the quality of the mattresses really stand out, as they are often overlooked in rental homes, but that isn’t the case here. The design is, of course, eye-catching – you don’t need us to tell you that – and even if not everyone goes for it, they will go for the views from the balcony. Throw in the fantastic location near in Chiado, and you’re onto a winner.
