To put it simply, this home is stunning. It’s perched on top of a hill just a short walk from downtown Kalkan, and boasts mesmerising views of the Mediterranean Sea and nearby islands. The glittering blue seascape can be enjoyed from almost every angle of this magnificent villa. 

As you approach the villa and take in the view, you’ll smell the flowers in the garden. The land is also home to countless palm, banana, grape and olive trees, all vying for attention in the pretty setting. The heated infinity pool stretches out towards the sea, and is where we’d be spending most of our time. After an early-morning dip, you might lie out in the sun for an hour or two, before moving into the shade of the outdoor lounge. Sip cocktails while drinking in the view, and plan the rest of your day.

Lebessa is a great home for a large family who wants to enjoy the rustic beauty of Kayaköy. The town is only a short drive away, and the nearest sandy beach won't take you long to find either. When you're ready to venture to the larger cities of Fethiye and Ölüdeniz, you'll be equally surprised at how close they all are. But the villa alone will keep you busy — Lebessa is a beautiful home, built with stone and a true eye for architectural beauty. The pool has been incorporated in between the buildings in a way that feels organic and inviting, and the exposed beams on the ceiling work well with the wooden textures. You’ll find this charming home nestled into the hillside – the perfect vantage point to indulge the sweeping Mediterranean Sea views. Perfect for a group of friends or a family getaway with older children (the steep hillside location makes it unsuitable for little ones), we particularly like the fact that one bedroom has a separate entrance, giving an added level of privacy when needed. As for the vistas, they’re something you’ll never tire of. Best enjoyed, in our humble opinion, from one of the two terraces or, of course, the private pool.

This stylish modern home offers the holy trinity of sky, sea and mountains. The location is excellent, as you're  up on a hillside near Kalkan town and just 2 km from the coast. The home's interiors with marble floors and bespoke furniture will keep you feeling cool during your stay, and are a real haven to come back to after a day out under the Turkish sun. That said, the roof terrace and infinity pool mean you won't have to travel far to soak up the sunshine. Kalkan is a vibrant and busy seaside town, with a host of shops, bars, restaurants and sites of historical interest nearby. You're also close to Patara, the longest beach in the country – a must see.

Kalkan Dreaming

Sitting pretty on the hillside in charming Faralya village, this family-friendly villa is contemporary and very Mediterranean. The landscaped gardens, multiple outdoor lounging and dining spaces – as well as an impressive outdoor kitchen – mean that you'll likely find us outside, and most probably sipping a drink and admiring the uninterrupted sea view from the infinity pool. We love the sense of privacy that you feel at Begonvil, laying across four acres of land and completely unseen from the outside. The villa is also only 300 metres from the beach, where you can unwind on the sand with your favourite book or go snorkelling, although be warned that's it's easier to walk down than back up the hill.

So, if you love homes with character, you’ll fall head over heels for this one. 

Located in the quiet, tiny village of Kınalı, you’re a far cry from daily life. It’s a time machine back to the days of Turkey gone by, with old artefacts, Ottoman touches, a gorgeous rustic dining table, and a traditional Turkish barbecue. But that isn’t to say this home isn’t comfortable for the modern person, we don’t think you’d find a well-equipped kitchen or a plunge pool for cooling off from the heat way back when. In Turkey, life is lived in the outdoors.
