This charming Camps Bay villa, nestled between the mountains and the sea, is a welcoming retreat where you can escape everyday life and simply enjoy some quality time with loved ones. We love the children’s rooms, in particular – packed full of character and with plenty to keep your little ones occupied when you’re enjoying a relaxing day at base camp. Stroll out onto your sunny terrace and you’ll find a comfortable seating area that’s just inviting you to sink down into the cushions with a book and a glass of fine South African wine. If the heat of the day gets a little too much, slip into your sparkling pool and swim a few lengths as the sun beats down. From the living area and outdoor space, you’re blessed with stunning sea vistas that will make it hard to resist a trip to the beach.

If the pull of the ocean is too strong, head to nearby Camps Bay beach where you can surf, enjoy the tidal pool, or simply stretch out on the sand and soak up the sea breeze as you listen to the sound of the waves. In this beautiful location, you’ll feel utterly content and completely at home.

A contemporary Clifton stay awaits you at this stunning seaside apartment, located just a stone’s throw from the picturesque palm-lined shore and gorgeous blue sea of Clifton Beach. We love this home’s modern and trendy feel, with marbled surfaces, mirrored walls, luxe light fittings and sleek furniture. We were particularly impressed by the kitchen area, furnished with the latest mod-cons, and featuring a breakfast bar where you can pour some champagne and share a toast. There’s also a dining set for tucking into delicious braai all together on summer evenings. But the true gem of the home is in its outdoor areas – the breathtaking views out to sea make the space feel special. The balcony features a private pool which provides the perfect place to cool off from the hot South African sunshine, while the alfresco dining set is great for sipping on sundowners and watching the sky turn pink.

Sparkling Reflections

Just a short walk from sandy Camps Beach, and with Table Mountain, the city centre and several other beaches within an easy drive, this smart home near Happy Valley is perfect for a small family or some friends sharing. With all the comforts of home, private parking and the added bonus of a small private pool, it's the ideal base for a Cape Town adventure.

This sleek, sophisticated villa was designed with the view in mind. Just step out onto the balcony and you'll be treated to uninterrupted panoramas of Cape Town's rugged mountain peaks and the rolling waters of the South Atlantic. We can't think of a better backdrop for morning cups of coffee, afternoon dips in the private pool or alfresco evening meals. And, when the day draws to a close, you'll have a front-row seat for arguably the best oceanfront sunset in Camps Bay – we can definitely toast to that.

Inside, sunshine streams through the floor-to-ceiling windows, bathing every nook and cranny in light. The open-plan layout invites you to socialise or relax, depending on your mood, so make yourself right at home. Stretch out on the leather sofa and watch a film on the DVD player, then cook up bobotie in the glossy kitchen when you grow peckish. All three bedrooms are as comfortable as they are stylish, as are the bathrooms – there's nothing like unwinding with a soak in one of the lush bathtubs after a long day on your feet.

And speaking of long days, with a location as good as this, we bet you'll be out and about exploring. Go for a hike in Table Mountain National Park, catch some rays at Camps Bay Beach or savour a cocktail at the waterfront bars on Victoria Road – Cape Town's your oyster, although we won't blame you if you can't tear yourself away from those views.

Just seconds from the western-facing Clifton 4th Beach, this quirky and fun bungalow was built for sunset lovers. You can enjoy sea views in privacy from the garden, while the sheltered terrace is perfect for family barbecue parties. Inside, the home's eclectic design will be a hit with the kids – they can even watch the swimmers in the pool go by as they play in the downstairs media room. And with its record player and LP collection full of familiar favourites, adults will love it down there too. With an upstairs balcony and two freestanding baths, you've also got plenty of places to enjoy the complimentary wine you'll find on arrival.

In the exclusive Bakoven neighbourhood of Cape Town, you’ve got the shadows of mighty Table Mountain National Park on one side, and the most wonderful bays and beaches on the other. This luxurious villa is about a twenty-five-minute stroll downhill to Bakoven Beach, or just a few more minutes to bustling Camps Bay Beach. But with all these natural wonders so close to home, you’ll need somewhere to relax after all that time in the great outdoors.

Then the second part of the journey will take you around to Camps Bay with uninterrupted views of the Twelve Apostles while you enjoy a picnic lunch of cheeses, charcuterie, and a selection of perfectly-paired local South African wines. 

Why not explore the rest of Cape Town in a vintage car? Visit Saunders’ Rock Beach with its imposing granite rocks which shelter it from the wind – just a four-minute drive away. Or, spend the day on the sandy beach of Clifton 1st – just a five-minute drive away. 

In the evening, we would love to let a private chef take care of dinner as we unwind in the soothing bubbles of the hot tub before indulging in cocktails at the home’s very own bar. Then dine alfresco before playing a game of pool or watching a blockbuster movie in the dedicated cinema room.

Take a drive along the coastal route to Cape Point – the route will take you past breathtaking coastal scenery, including Muizenberg's colourful beach huts, Kalk Bay, Simon's Town, and Boulders Beach to watch the Penguins.
