This bright and comfortable apartment is just a stone’s throw from the Royal Palace of Madrid. The official residence of the Head of State is open to the public, so you can explore the spot where centuries of Spanish history took place. The apartment is also just in front of the Sabatini Gardens, and 100 metres from Príncipe Pio train station. Plaza de España is only a five-minute walk away, too. Two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room, so things might feel a little crowded – you’re unlikely to be spending much time at home though.

You'll find this apartment in Argüelles, home to low-key tapas bars, art-house cinemas, and traditional eateries popular with students. Exploring is a breeze here. Ventura Rodriguez metro station is a short walk away, though you can also stroll to Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace in about twenty minutes. Back home, there's a practical yet cosy living space. The kitchen is well-appointed for rustling up light bites, while three bedrooms offer respite after a long day on your feet. If you're looking for a laid-back stay, this pad is a great choice.

The Plaza de España right outside the flat is a great place to familiarise yourself with the city – go for a stroll, and soak up the atmosphere of this popular meeting place. Culture fans can take a five-minute walk to the Royal Palace of Madrid to soak up the sense of history, and enjoy a wander through the Jardines de Sabatini afterwards. The kitchen is fine for whipping up light bites, but for more extensive meals, we’d recommend dining out at a local Spanish eatery.
